Character Name: Carson Mason AU Rank: Hero Squad (Gaia) AU History Alteration: Carson never followed her sister to Pansaw, because Belle never went to work for CARMA there. She moved from Australia to Pansaw when she continuously saw something called the hero squad on the news and she wanted to be a part of it. During the day she goes to school and at night, she does Hero Squad stuff. Anything Else: She’s not very close with her parent’s or brothers, but she is still close with her sister, and her only friends are those n the hero squad.

Rex pouted. “Well, now you’ve gone and offended me.” He teased. He was usually pretty hard to miss, so someone not noticing him was extremely out of the ordinary.

“No I was, uh phone.” Carson said, holding up her phone, not realizing her was teasing her. “I’m sorry.”

Rex looked among the people who walked by as he sat in the cafe sipping a coffee. He could tell this was going to be an interesting city, just from the likes of the people who passed. He sipped his coffee casually before looking up at a person who moved to stand over him. 

“Is there something I can help you with?”

Carson, not realizing that shewas standing over somebody, paying more attention  to her phone than her surroundings. She shook her head, “Um no, I didn’t realize someone was here, sorry.”

It wasn’t often that Jaden came across a Metahuman using their abilities in public, and not even really using them for anything in particular it seemed like. She stayed hidden behind a tree, watching as the girl seemed to be practicing with her powers, and just observing. Did she have an elemental ability to manipulate the earth? That was something Jaden hadn’t really seen before. Finally, after enough time, she stepped out, clearing her throat. “Nice skills you have,” she commented. “You do this often?”

Carson was sitting in, what she thought was, a secluded place in the park. She was really stressed with schoolwork and the only way she can de-stress was messing around with her abilities, it was sort of cathartic for her. What she didn’t expect was to get caught, the earth pieces she was juggling just a few seconds before she heard the voice, fell to the ground. Shaking her head, she stuttered out, “O-oh um, not really.”

♛ : Opinion on outer beauty

Outer beauty is superficial and shouldn’t be as important in our society as it is, in Carson’s honest opinion, it’s inner beauty that everybody should be on the lookout for, not outer.

Lucien thought about saying nothing and letting the girl go, but after being away so long he thought conversation may, in fact, be beneficial to him. “What do you study?” 

Carson was surprised thee man spoke again, she figured he wanted to be left alone, “Oh um, I’m a pre-med major. I haven’t really decided what part of medicine I want to do though.”

The streets were wet with fresh rain. He’d had his debrief and was free to roam the city once more. It had been a long time and he missed the coffee shop there. It wasn’t as good as any in France, or at least he’d never admit that aloud, but it was something he missed. About the only thing he had. Things had gotten strained and his need to leave was prompted by the French Government needing him for a special project, one he’d been on for the last few months. His work gruesome as ever having much more leeway there. 

Ordering his coffee it was soon brought to him where he sat and stirred it lightly to cool it before drinking, his eyes drifting around the familiar and unfamiliar faces. Could he play the reformed doctor he wondered. A man bent on madness that had been away to find himself. He bowed his head and smiled cruelly. Never. He hated Metas and everything they stood for. A hate so raw, so potent, he could almost taste it every time he uttered that curse. Meta. 

“This table is taken.” He said noticing another approaching him. 

Carson went to her usual coffee shop, the one that she always went to after her last class of the morning to work on her homework before her first, and last, class of the afternoon. After getting her coffee, she headed towards her normal homework spot, not realizing anybody was there until they spoke. “O-oh, I’m sorry. I usually do my homework here. I’ll go somewhere else.”

He Found Out || Open

Carson was rushing down the street, she had seen her father, and she was not prepared to deal with him. Out of all of her family members, he was the most vocal with his hatred for metas. She turned the corner, bumping into a solid body. She looked up and screamed when she saw it was her father, he grabbed a hold of her wrists, grip tight despite her struggling. “Did you think I wouldn’t find out?!” He yelled in her face, “Did you think Belle would keep your dirty little secret, that she wouldn’t tell me that you are a meta? That you are the very thing we hate?” He was yelling so hard he was spitting in her face. There were tears falling down Carson’s cheeks as she struggled to get away from her father, “Please let me go,” she pleaded, pulling harder.

“I like looking at the stars, don’t you?” Carson asked, turning her attention to the person sitting next to her.

She didn’t know how they saw her, she was hidden away, where nobody could see her. Carson was also confused as to why they tried to arrest her. The geokinetic was registered and she wasn’t trying to hurt anybody, she was just innocently sitting by herself, shifting the earth around her, when they tried to arrest her. She easily managed to get away from them, running out of the park and literally into somebody, “Sorry, so sorry!”

“I was pretty sure that wasn’t true. Where’d you hear that?”

“At the hospital where I volunteer.”

“I… Okay. Are you sure about that?”

“Positive, why?”

Adam glanced at the sheet, nodding a little bit. “Mkay. Well, I’ll let him know that you’re here, but yeah, you’re welcome to wait here,” he said lightly, his expression changing to one of a more comfortable one. Not exactly relaxed, but less cold. “Sorry about the whole thing… You wouldn’t know how many people I’ve had to stop from barging into the surgery room just to make sure their loved one is okay… I can’t be too sure.”

Seeing the boys demeanor change, Carson relaxed hers as well, and nodded, “It’s understandable,” she shrugged, sticking out a hand, “My name’s Carson.”

“What’s your supervisor’s name?” Adam asked, glancing up at the lady. He raised a brow. She wasn’t wearing uniform, which either meant that she was a volunteer or someone just faking to get into the operating room. But while he had his doubts with the latter, he still had to make sure. “There’s a chance they’re in surgery right now, unless they asked you to go into surgery to help them with it?” the young man questioned, his brows furrowed, ignoring the hard glare with a stone-cold one of his own.

“Will,” Carson said, shifting slightly. “I know he’s in surgery, I’m supposed to wait here until he’s done.” She stared into the boy’s eyes, not wavering, showing her confidence that this is what she was supposed to be doing, which it was.

“You’re in the wrong place. Patients are on the second and third floors. Not the seventh, which is where surgery happens. Whether you be friend, family, or stranger, you’ll have to go back down if you’re visiting. Except visiting hours are over, so you standing here means you’re in my way and a simple waste of my time. Either come tomorrow or don’t come at all, but don’t be in a place where you don’t belong,” Adam said briskly and curtly without glancing up from the documents in his hand, figuring that he’d set them to his supervisor’s desk, since his boss was currently in another operation. He didn’t really feel like giving the time of day to the person, even if they were lost. They could find their own damn way through the hospital.

“I’d suggest you leave the surgery wing now.”

Carson frowned at the man telling her off, she knew exactly where she was supposed to be, she was told to come here. She volunteered at the hospital regularly, and the man was pissing her off. She glared at him, “I’m sorry , but I can’t leave, I was told to come here by my supervisor,” She said, not at all unkindly, despite the hard glare she was sending the man’s way.

“That’s a pretty big goal you have, wanting to help people,” Seth commented, not at all sarcastic. In fact, he might have been kind of impressed. “What’s your name?” he asked after a moment.

“It’s just something I’ve always wanted to do.” Carson said with a shrug. “I’m Carson, you?”
