Place of Birth: Toronto, Canda

carter presley. being born and raised in toronto, canada had it’s advantages but it also had its disadvantages and carter knew this. yes having a wealthy family and living in toronto was great and all but money doesn’t mean anything if you don’t have love in your household and that’s exactly how carter felt when it came to his parents. money to carter was just another materialist thing. he didn’t care much for it. most of his childhood, money was just another way to buy his and his siblings happiness, well that’s what his parents thought anyway. growing up he was far from happy, he had his housekeeping team and his nanny who would look after him, which he was so grateful for. it was hard growing up around other wealthy kids with their parents showing them all the love that he wanted for himself and his sibling. carter would never admit it to his sibling but he always though their was something wrong with them. why didn’t their parents love them and care about them the way others did to their kids. carter got to travel a lot around the world but mostly around the canada and united states with his parents because that’s what they thought he wanted. he was left on his own the majority of the time, but he loved seeing new cities and exploring them.
As the years went by carter noticed a change in his attitude and temper. he got to the stage where he was acting out, having abusive and aggressive outburst and half the time he didn’t know how to control it. one day, his nanny hadn’t put something away and he absolutely lost it and after that he knew he needed to do something about it. carter felt so horrible about his outburst towards her and he soon after did some research and decided that he was going to start boxing to try release some of the anger in his body and learn how to control it. from eleven years old he was boxing five days a week at the boxing centre and you could nearly always find him down at the gym at home on the weekends. his boxing first started as a way to release his anger.
carter had just turned thirteen and a few weeks later his family hosted a dinner party in honour of one of their friends. this upset carter because his parents didn’t care about his birthday and didn’t even celebrate his birthday but they could celebrate one of their friends. even though he was upset carter attended the party and put on a fake smile. he made the appearance, socialised acted like he wanted to be there. he noticed that a particular female friend of his parents was showing him some interest. carter knew this lady quite well. after that night he became her submissive for five years. this was another way for carter to control his short temper. he ended the sub/dom relationship after five years when he was eighteen years old. he knew that this wasn’t the normal type of relationship people had but he never new anything else.
after ending things with his parent’s friend he thought this was the perfect opportunity to move away, start a fresh. get away from all the negativity of his parents. carter decided to move to new york city, the big apple. plus it would more beneficial for his boxing career if he wanted to peruse that. carter moved into an apartment in soho five years ago and he has loved every minute of living in nyc. it was also close to work. he started working at the arconia hotel one year ago as a bartender.

❝careful,❞ she coos, smirking to herself as she hears the familiar rustle of clothes being shed before falling along against the tiles of her bathroom floor, ❝might actually think you care.❞ she’s teasing—she’s 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 teasing, but deep down she knows. she knows that even with how back and forth their friendship has been for years . . . whether they’re getting along or actively getting kicks out of pissing each other off . . . she’s never actually had to question his loyalty and she really fucking digs that. her eyes are shut when she feels him finally stepping into the shower, head tilted back as her hands card through her saturated locks to rinse away the remnants of shampoo in her hair. a laugh escapes her at his words and she knows he’s smirking even before her eyes FLUTTER open to look at him. as if it were that easy. ❝not yet,❞ she replies, inching forward and holding his gaze as she reaches for his hand, slowly bringing it up to rest along her bare hip, ❝but the ball’s in your court. you gonna make me a believer, tiger?❞
carter couldn’t help but chuckle at the other’s words while he finished taking off his clothes. “you know i care” he said with a stern voice before smiling as he opened the door. “you know exactly how much i care about you, so stop pretending you don’t” the boy said as he entered the shower with a smile, but it soon faded when she said ‘not yet’, he truly did miss the other, and wanted to show her that he did. if he could spend all his spare time with her he would. over the years since they had met they have had such fun relationship. of course there was times, when there were both getting on one another’s nerves but at the end of the day they would always laugh about it. the boy smiled as he watched the other, inch towards him and take his hand. carter couldn’t help but smile even more as she brought it up to her lips. “i’m here aren’t i” carter said smirking before pulling the other closer to him to their skins touched and he pressed his lips onto her’s. “oh silv, i’ve missed you so much” he said before deepening the kiss. -time jump- carter smiled over at silver, as they laid on the bed together, “so what food should we order? thai? mexican? chinese? or something completely different” he asked with a smile.
anthony really tried to keep the humor out of his voice and off his face, “do you? do you love me?” he began but soon the laughter cracked through him as he took a seat at the bar looking over at his roommate and best friend. as the laughter died down he shook his head a bit, “i never doubted you, come on you know i would never.” he chuckled his arms coming to rest against the bar his head tilting in thought, “a beer. i dont care which one but a beer.” he settled after a few moments.
carter looked at the other with a smirk, he was waiting for the other to crack and finally give in. “of course i love you” he said laughing as he watched as the other sit down in front of him. “i mean i think you doubted me for a second” carter said smirking at the other before nodding at the other’s request. “we just got this new beer on tap that’s meant to be real good so you can give me the final verdict on it okay” the boy said smiling before grabbing a glass and filling it with the new beer that the boy had yet to try. he pushed the glass over to the other, “there you go mate. let me know what you think” carter said looking at anthony.

location: local cafe not far from the hotel
once she had spotted a familiar face she barely got out the words, ‘sorry, please go along with this’ before leaning over to press a small quick kiss to their cheek then sitting across from the other her hand placed over their on the table, “i’m so sorry i’m late, babe.” she pressed a bright, maybe even overly exaggerated smile to her features. she could almost sense two of the small group with camera’s that had followed her from the studio on her walk back to the hotel still lurking around. her eyes widened a bit almost pleading with the other sat from her, “have you been here long? i swear i tried to rush as soon as i realized, but you know me. can never be on time.” she spoke trying to keep the unease out of her voice.
the boy had found himself sitting in one of the cafe’s by the hotel while he waited for his shift to start. he wanted to get some coffee into him and something to eat before his busy night ahead. carter had just taken a big bite of his sandwich when he noticed novalee walking over to him and then quickly said ‘sorry please go along with this’ and then pressing her lips to his cheek. he sent a small smile in her direction before looking around slightly not making it obvious to make sure everything was okay. “no stress at all. i hope you don’t mind i already ordered a sandwich, i was starving” he said smiling at her. “not long at all. maybe ten minutes. but its totally fine. you should have just texted and i could have always met you where you were” carter said to the other. the boy could sense that something was up but he didn’t want to make it obvious is someone was watching them. carter quickly pulled out his phone and sent the girl a text . “is everything okay?” and did a little scrolling on instagram to make it look like he wasn’t texting the person in front of him. the boy then put his phone down and took another bite of his sandwich. “can i order you something to eat?” he asked.
Casey smiled at the words coming from Carter’s lips, and honestly, he genuinely adored him. And he knew that Tate trusted him too. She didn’t trust that many people; she trusted Carter, Annie and Kai. He knew that he could trust them with Tate, which meant the world to him. “ Well, good, because you are definitely the unofficial uncle. You and Kai – she absolutely adore you two, ” he said and smiled, nodding his head as he looked at Carter who said that there was no way Tate loved him and Kai more than she loved him. Casey smiled and looked at Carter; thankful that he believed that.
He swallowed and nodded, his smile disappearing slightly and being exchanged with a serious expression instead as their topic of conversation changed. “ I know. Everything is… Is definitely intense. ” Casey took a deep breath and shook his head, before looking at Carter, who said they demanded he attended this event with them and how it was not a good time. “ Well, at least you’re done with it now, right? I mean… That’s at least a good thing? ” He hummed and nodded. “ You’ll be the first one. Don’t you worry. ” Looking at Carter, who said he could call his parents’ PI and see if they can dig something up, Casey smiled softly. “ You’d do that? I mean, that… that would be great, man. Honestly. ”
carter sent a reassuring smile in the direction of casey. he never wanted his best mate to think that his daughter liked people more than him because that wasn’t the truth. “i am so happy to be the unofficial uncle. like i said i’d do anything for the two of you” he said smiling. “kai and I will have to have a discussion about this little situation” the boy said chuckling a little before the conversation shifted to his parents. “yeah it really is, but yes im glad its over and they are gone back for now” carter said looking at his friend. he never enjoyed his parents company or talking about them but he wanted to fill casey in. “im glad to hear that” he added. carter’s expression changed when the other asked if he would do that. “of course i would do that. send me all the details you have on her and I will send it through to them and pass your number on too them too if they need anything else” carter said. “but case, i would do anything for you. you should know that by now” he said smiling. “shall we go get something to eat before we have to go back to work?” carter said looking at the other with a smile.
she thinks it stupid now to have left her front door open just for the benefit of seeing a man grovel—on his knees ( preferably ) if he really wanted to make it up to her—after all, it’d been what . . . nearly and ONLY two months since her former best friend had been found in her own bathtub? hunter’s had to have assured her multiple times by now that their floor’s one of the most secure, but that doesn’t abate her thoughts or need for creative ways in which to use her glass shampoo bottle and it’s pump as means of protection. thankfully, she thinks of at least three. and while she doesn’t hear the string of familiar words calling to her from her foyer—the cascading warmth gliding down her body is a 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒍𝒚 distraction from murder, it seems—she finds herself relaxing when she finally hears carter’s voice amidst the running water. then, of course, she smirks. hook. line. ❝faster than i expected, i’ll give you that. did you lock my door?❞ she asks, done lathering the shampoo in her hair. knowing he can’t see much more than her silhouette through the fogged glass, she has a little fun wiping some of it away by drawing a sad face along the steamy pane and writing two words beneath it: ‘prove it’ . . . and sinker.
carter smiled as he heard the other’s voice. “i told you i was coming plus you said you left your door unlocked so..” he said chuckling as he pulled his shirt over his head. “of course I did. can’t have any intruders coming in here” he said as he shut the door behind him keeping the warmth inside the bathroom. the boy could tell that she was having a hot shower from the amount of steam that was in the room and how fogged the glass was. he could only make out her silhouette but he knew that would change any minute now. carter smirked to himself and watched the girl draw a smiley face and write prove it on the glass. that was his queue to join her and show her how much he had missed her. the boy quickly removed the rest of his clothes before making his way over to the shower and opening the fogged up glass door. silver was stunning in every way possible and the boy couldn’t help but admire her as he closed the door behind him keeping the warmth of the cascading water in the shower. “please tell me you believe me when i say i’ve missed you” carter said as he looking at her with a smirk.
anthony gave a nod listened to carters words and let out a breath he didn’t even know he was holding until he released it. he didn’t say anything just repeated the words of staying calm and just breathe nothing more. bringing his hand up to his chest he made a face of betrayal, “your breaking my heart, by telling me you love me just to say you wouldn’t kiss me. betrayal.” he shook his head before letting his gaze fall to his feet keeping up the act a bit longer because truly wanted to see how long he could himself keep up the act so he followed carter out of the supply closet, “let me down easy and then getting me a drink. a gentleman i swear.”
carter watched the other and hoped that he would calm himself done. this whole situation was stressful as it was. he hated seeing his best mate so stressed and worked up about this. the boy threw his head back in laughter as the other told him he was breaking his heart. “i still love you okay. that’s all that should matter” he said chuckling as they headed out ton the bar. “see i’ve told you all along i was. you should never doubt me” the boy said as he made his way around the bar getting the other a drink. “what do you feel like?” carter asked with a smile.
the boy had spent the last few hours at the bar after his shift and to say the least he was a little bit tipsy and when he is tipsy his mind almost always goes to one person. silver. normally she wasn’t around but lucky for him she was back in the hotel. he had sent a few snaps to her before he got permission to come see her. he smiled as he grabbed his coat and heading to the elevators which would take him up to her apartment. carter had missed her and was so glad she was back in nyc. the other was ever so kind to leave the door open for him and the minute she said she was jumping in the shower he knew he was on a time limit. carter smiled as he walked out of the elevators when it arrived on her floor and headed straight into her apartment making sure he locked the door behind him. “silv im here” he called out so she knew he was her. the boy could hear the shower running and couldnt help but smirk to himself. he dropped his coat before heading into the bathroom. “silv” he said @silbristowe
silbristowe: since when do you play by the rules?
silbristowe: steal me away next time, my team loves being kept on their toes
silbristowe: hmmmmmmmm……..fine. i’ll be in the shower, but the door’s unlocked for you.
silbristowe: tick tock
carterpresley: you’re not wrong hahah
carterpresley: i shall keep that in mind and will make sure to steal you away
carterpresley: thank gosh.
carterpresley: im coming. im coming.
carterpresley: see you soon !!!!
anthony took a deep breath nodding his head a bit leaning back against the wall, “youre right calm i need to calm.” he repeated clearing his throat then taking a deep breath then nodded because everything carter was saying was right he really didn’t have anything to worry about they both were fine but there was the small part of his mind that wasn’t truly terrified they’d find something that made someone close to him look guilty and he didn’t want that. looking over at his roommate he let out a breath, “hey many people get pulled into a storage closet to make out people will never know.” he said raising one single brow but then gave a nod, “staying calm got it.”
the boy looked at the other. he knew it was a stressful situation but they hadn’t nothing to worry about. they just needed to stay calm until everyone had been questioned. “yes staying calm. stressing out isn’t going to help anything.” carter said before he grabbed a few things from the closet that he actually needed in the bar. “yeah yeah i know but i mean i love you man but i don’t want us kissing in a closet” carter said chuckling at the other. “just take deep breathes. we are fine. we haven’t done anything wrong. the more you freak out the worst it looks” he said. “come on lets get you a drink” the boy said before opening the door.
1. what was your relation to the victim, and how long had you known her?
I don’t know if you would call us friends. i don’t know how to describe the relationship i had with abigail. i am a bartender at the arconia and she use to come in most nights and some of those nights she had a bit too much to drink so i ended up having to escort her back to her apartment. sometimes she could barely walk.
2. when was the last time you saw or spoke to abigail?
i was working the day shifts leading up to what happened to her so i didn’t see her on those days. so the last time would have been a week before. she came into the bar and ordered a round of her favourite drinks and i ended up taking her back to her apartment.
3. was she acting strange in the weeks leading up to her death?
to me. she seemed like herself. doing the same old stuff i would normally see her doing. but i must say she was in the bar a lot more than she normally would. i wasn’t working but i was told that she came in while i was off.
4. where were you on the night of april 17th?
i had the day off so i was at home. i just wanted to have a quiet day at home doing pretty much nothing. my roommate anthony turner was also home at the time so we were together. we just watched movies, ordered takeout and i did some tidying up and some other chores nothing too exciting. it was just good to have the day off and spend time with my best friend at the same time since we had both been working and was also just saying hello as we ran out the door.
5. do you know if she was seeing anyone? if so, what do you know about them?
i couldn’t tell you yes or no because i don’t know but i do know that she had mentioned a boy a couple of times in her drunken states
6. do you know if she had any enemies, anyone that might want to hurt her?
honestly, i wouldn’t have a clue. she didn’t seem like she would. but i didn’t know her well enough to know if she did. but i can only hope that she didnt have anyone hurt her.
7. have you noticed her showing any signs of depression?
no i didn’t see any signs. like i said previously i barely saw her leading up to what happened. but when i had seen her before that she was her normal self. maybe just drinking a little more but that was a normal thing for abigail.
7b. if so, were there any signs of that would leave you to believe she could have taken her own life?
lastly, is there anything else you think we should know?
no i don’t think so. sorry i couldn’t be any more help. i just hadn’t really seen her leading up to everything. i hope you find out what happened to her.
“ As if, dude, as if. I know when you’re lying, ” he said and chuckled softly, sticking his tongue out at him teasingly before a laugh followed. He knew that Carter was just kidding. He was thankful for his friendship and he knew he could count on Carter to help make him feel better, no matter what he’s dealing with. And, Tate adored Carter too, so there was that. He knew he could trust Carter with her and that Tate felt comfortable with him too, which was extremely important to him. “ Dude, you’re honestly the most awesome dude. Thank you though and I’ll keep that in mind for next time, ” Casey spoke and nodded. “ You mean a lot to us too, you know. You’re like one of Tate’s unofficial uncles, ” he responded and grinned widely, showing off his pearly white teeth. When Carter said he hoped that Tate had only said good things about him, Casey chuckled. “ Don’t worry, I think you and Kai might be her favorite if I’m being honest. Like, she likes you two more than me, ” he said and rolled his eyes with a soft smile on his lips. Nodding his head, Casey listened to what Carter spoke about how all of the billion questions that people had asked about Abigail and about what had happened and he sighed, nodding his head. “ Yeah, it’s a mess really, isn’t it? Ohhhh, they came to town, huh? And how’s that going? ” He chuckled when he asked if he had been cooking up anything good in the kitchen recently. “ I’ve been working on a few things here and there. I’ll let you know when it’s done. And you know, I’ve just been trying to find Charlotte, because obviously Tate asks about her but… I haven’t found anything. ”
carter smiled at the other, he knew that casey knew when he wasn’t being entirely truthful. but it was in his best friends interest. “whatever you say. im not saying anything else about this topic” the boy said chuckling. the boy always enjoyed having the people he cared about around him and knowing that he is always there for him and vice versa. “seriously. i don’t care what time it is. but you’re welcome. happy to help” he said smiling. “and i love being the unofficial uncle. its the best thing ever.” carter said chuckling at the other. carter shook his head playfully, “there is no way that tate loves kai and me more than you. its just not possible. we gonna have to do something horrible to make sure you’re loved the most” he said laughing. the boy liked how he didn’t have to go too much into detail about abigail cause casey already knew what was doing on. “such a mess. i just want it to be all over.” he added looking at him before continuing to answer the other’s question. “yeah they came unexpectedly and demanded i attend this event with them and it was just not a good time. glad they have gone back to canada.” carter said shaking the thoughts from his mind. “ooo exciting. i can’t wait to try them. obviously when its done and ready” carter said. “and oh yeah. that much be frustrating for you and especially confusing for tate. i’m here if you need help with anything. i could call my parent’s PI and see if they can dig something up?” he asked
“i’m alright. same old shit, different day,” nathan replied with a light chuckle and little shrug. a sense of relief spreads through him when he hears carter suggest they get out of the hotel, it was probably the most soothing thing anyone has said to him all week. an escape from the cameras, questions, and stares, it was exactly what they all needed. plus, he was excited to be introduced to a new place by his good friend. “it’s like you’re reading my mind, c. also,” he grins, making his way towards the side door exits that read ‘EMPLOYEES ONLY’, “i’m intrigued to see this new spot you speak of. first round of drinks is definitely on me, by the way.” the walk to the alleyway wasn’t a long one, thankfully no surprise paparazzi sprung out of nowhere, it was an easy and smooth escape to their freedom. when he steps out of the hotel he takes a second to inhale the fresh air, eyes closed, letting it take hold of him for just a moment. “sometimes i wish i could just sail to sea and live there forever.” he randomly admits, opening his eyes to look over at his friend, “anyway, my guy, lead the way. also, how have you been? anything new and exciting happening in your life?”
the boy listened to the other speak and was glad that nathan was doing okay after everything that had been going on. “yeah its a bit like that at the moment. like just wish all of this could just be over already” carter said with a small smile which was soon followed by a small laugh as the other said he was reading his mind. it sounded like that the both of them were excited to get out of the arconia for a few hours. the two heading out of the side door for employees only. “yeah im hoping its good. ive heard a few other’s talk about it but just haven’t had a chance to go there yet” the boy said as he closed the door behind him. “apparently its got like a mix of all this delicious snacky foods that are perfect to have while your drinking. they have a long list of cocktails, beers, wines. like everything” the boy said chuckling. “i just hope its as good as they have all said it to be” he said looking over at the other. “yeah totally get it. honestly. lately i wish i could be invisible” carter said chuckling as they walked out of the arconia grounds and into the streets of new york city. “ive been good, just been real busy and then trying to just escape it all when i have my days off. nothing really new to be honest. my parents came to town a few weeks ago so that was eventful but we good now. what about you?” the boy asked as they headed toward the bar.
“hm,” benji hummed, looking back down at his drawing. a few finishing touches here and there. “what kinda stuff don’t you see eye to eye on?” he looked back up, then stood up. he packed up his notebook under his arm and shoved his hands deep in his jean jacket pockets. he stood by the other as if they had been on a walk together all along.
“do you wanna go to the starbucks down the road? i need some chocolate.”
the boy looked at the other. he didn’t really want to go through how badly his parents were parents in the street. “lets just say they weren’t very good at being parents.” he said looking at the other as he watched them pack up his notebook. “uh, yeah sure. will be a good distraction” carter said to the other. he hoped that it would help him get out of his current headspace and calm down. “lead the way” the boy said with a small smile.
silbristowe: not my favorite way to burn calories, but yeah it was fun
silbristowe: ah, yes. a tale as old as time!
silbristowe: prove it.
silbristowe: i mean, you know how to find me. so, what is it you’ve been waiting for, exactly? an invitation?
carterpresley: yeah im sure they are some much more preferred ways to burn calories then doing laps.
carterpresely: it just happened okay
carterpresley: i will indeed. see you soon
carterpresely: well tonight i know exactly how to find you know that i know you’re home. you’re a busy woman. don’t want to interrupt your daily schedules.
carterpresley: will you let me in tonight?
anthony shook his head before bringing his hands to the back of his neck looking up at the ceiling for a moment, “i wasn’t thinking i don’t know.. do you know how intimidating it is in a police questioning room?” he asked whispering as he looked down at his feet for a moment shaking his head again. he didn’t really know why he slightly lied, maybe part of him wanted to protect his friends where the other part knew he wasn’t exactly lying it was the truth he was telling. letting out a breath he looked back up and over at carter leaning back against the wall nodding a bit, “i know i just i don’t know i just told them we were at home all night together, but like watching random shows all night.” he let out a breath before sighing, “this whole thing is just so stressful carter.. i don’t know.”
carter watched as the other was stressing out about the whole situation. it was a stressful time but they had done nothing wrong. they had nothing to do with abigails death. “anthony. please. you need to calm down. we are okay. i know how intimidating they can be” he said looking at him before putting his hands on the other’s shoulders. “its going to be okay. we can just say we forgot about going out. its no big deal. please stop stressing. you stressing like this and pulling me into a store room looks kind of suspicious. but we are fine okay. when i go in, ill make sure our stories align okay. youve got nothing to worry about” carter said looking at his best friend. “i know. its very stressful but you just gotta try and stay calm. thats the best thing for you to do”
silbristowe: walking back to my room after doing some laps in the pool
silbristowe: great invite 💔
silbristowe: oh, really?
silbristowe: because you keep saying that and yet . . .
silbristowe: i don’t believe you :/
carterpresely: oh the pool would have been fun
carterpresley: i didn’t mean to get tipsy but i had some drinks after my shift and now we are here
carterpresley: yes really. im downstairs. i could show you how much i missed you
carterpresely: because i’ve missed you very much silv
