My local animal shelter (BARCS) just got an influx of 369 birds from a shitass pet store, which is a truly terrifying number of parrots to have inside a building. BUT: there's a donation drive going on right now where you can vote for a pet's face to go on a beer can for their annual BARCStoberfest. Every single vote is a dollar towards animal rescue!!!

alright i GUESS i address the elephant in the room. PENPALS IS NOT DEAD it's on life support.

jokes aside, i've gotten a lot of asks about where penpals has been. i've been meaning to make a post about it for a while now but have never gotten around to doing so. i want to reiterate the points i made in this post talking about how the creation of the comic was mainly fulled by hyperfixation.

a lot has changed since i started working on it, the main thing being i dont have as much time + have other interests. i never want making art to feel like a chore and for a while working on penpals felt so daunting.

i can't say for certain the comic will finish but i also cant say that it wont. I WANT TO KEEP WORKING ON THIS COMIC.

i don't want to jinx anything, but i will at least release part 11 cause it's been a work in progress for like a year and a half. i will also try to be more open about the comic's progress / responding to asks.
