canon destiel things i still can’t believe happened in the show:
- in 12x23 sam forcing dean back to safety while dean frantically shouts cas’ name paralleling sam and jess in 1x01
- naomi saying “i just wish he felt the same way” and a cut to dean looking devastated
- “when castiel first laid a hand on you in hell, he was lost!”
- dean and cas staring at each other for an unnecessarily long moment while on the phone to each other in 5x14
- metatron knowing that “it was all for one human” instead of the whole of heaven for cas (9x23)
- sam clearing his throat every time dean and cas stare at each other for too long
- the originally scripted “we love you. i love you” in 8x17
- cas having to prove himself to naomi by killing hundreds of deans because dean is his weakness (8x17)
- that angel that fell in love with a human and called it his weakness then proceeded to threaten cas and “curing him of his weakness” by going to kill dean (12x10)
- dean admitting that he feels differently for cas the way sam feels for cas with “you might be able to forget about that, but i can’t!” (13x04)
- dean gave him a fucking mixtape which was epitome 80/90s symbol of romance (12x19) - it was also a led zeppelin mix, paralleling their relationship with how john and mary fell in love
- cas stepping in front of dean whenever he’s in danger (7x23, etc)
- cas pining over dean in 6x20 watching him rake fucking leaves
- dean seeing cas everywhere and in 8x07 seeing him on the road, stopping his car, looking around for him right in front of a sign that says “pine”
- dean so utterly heartbroken in 7x17 when cas introduces his ‘wife’ (also later admitting that he couldn’t get over what cas did when he usually could)
- cas having to add the “i love all of you” because e x c u s e m e (12x12)
- when dean describes he’s in love and uses “she” and sam’s genuine confusion and automatically thinking it’s a spell
- dean and cas constantly acting like a married couple with little arguments and bickering (6x19, 10x20, 12x10, 13x06, 13x14, more)
- “my shy but devastatingly handsome friend” devastatingly handsome. ok. (12x12)
- boner in 8x07 when cas comes out the bathroom
- dean praying to cas every night in purgatory (8x02) and “i’m not leaving here without you”
- people saying “your angel” to dean
- “you see he has this weakness, he likes you.” “i was getting too close to the humans in my charge: you.” 4x16
- 5x04 originally having scripted “wherever dean goes, i go. that’s just how i roll.”
- dean’s voice breaking when he thought cas died in 9x03
- 9x06 is written like dean and cas broke up and they’re both pining anyways
- 5x18 dean making two advances on cas (“blow me, cas.” “cas, not for nothing but last time someone looked at me like that, i got laid.”) when dean wanted to die – “last night on earth” speech, dean??
- dean keeping cas’ trenchcoat from 7x01 to 7x17 o k
- 11x18 “cas is family!” and that whole scene of dean trying to get to cas and lucifer making fun of him for it
