watching the girl almost fall out of the car to get the baby out of his seat, jake frowned but didn’t say anything about it. moving back to put the car seat into the car, he locked the jeep behind him before looking at the pair. “ready?” he asked as he turned to start towards the restaurant. holding the door open for peyton, the male walked inside, greeting the hostess with a warm smile. after speaking to her for a moment, he looked back at the female, “you can hangout in one of the booths if you want, i just have to go back into the kitchen and then into the office really quick.” jake promised as he moved to stroke finn’s cheek gently. 

peyton walked in and gave a small smile to the hostess, looking up at her boyfriend when he spoke. “okay babe.” she said quietly, smiling at the pair and walking with their son to sit in a booth by the window, leaving her to her thoughts. she didn’t know why, but things felt different. maybe it was the fact that she was becoming more domestic, being a stay at home mom wasn’t something she ever planned to do. peyton had always been so wild, mildly reckless despite having her daughter while she was still in high school. but she loved her life, taking care of her son every day and seeing both him and her daughter grow up. finn started stirring in her arms and she adjusted him, giving him a sweet smile. “hi my little rainbow.” she cooed, her voice sweet and quiet. “daddy will be back soon i promise.”

jumping as soon as he touched her, the girl swallowed hard as she tried to calm again, her eyes watching his every move. “yeah, it’s okay.” she nodded, knowing none of this was okay at all. looking back at the ground she shook her head, “it’s okay, nothing was really important, i can replace it.” she nodded as she bit her lip before sighing as she thought hard. “n-no, i’ll go.” her voice shook slightly as she looked back over at the paramedic. “uhm…i was at the coffee house, and i was studying and i had just got my coffee, that’s all i remember.” 

nate felt stuck between a rock and a hard place. he didn’t want to tell the girl what he and everyone else believed just happened, but hearing that she wanted to go to the hospital gave him a slight sense of relief. “let’s get you loaded in here, okay? can you tell me what hurts the most?” he asked calmly, helping her up into the back of the ambulance and on to the stretcher, hoping she would be comfortable. “i’ll see if the cops can’t find your stuff okay? maybe it’s somewhere in the alley.”

listening to mason’s thoughts, hadley couldn’t help but laugh, “oh yeah, i’m sure they would understand.” she spoke as she ran her hand through her hair. “you listen, you just don’t understand, but that comes with how we were raised and how we are different.” the brunette admitted before sighing and walking deeper into the woods. knowing it could be dangerous, she trusted mason wouldn’t hurt her. “no you wouldn’t have,” she whispered as she looked past him into the woods. “that’s not how you are mason, i would’ve been as good as dead. you’re not wired to just help people, you and i both know that.” she admitted sadly before biting on her lip. “i told you, i’m happy with you, whether you want to believe it or not, but i am.” 

mason walked around, weaving in between trees to keep himself busy as he listened to her. “i would have helped you. i don’t think people should get hurt for no reason and that’s what happened to you. and now you’re unhappy.” he wandered further in but he kept close to her, knowing anything could happen. “it physically hurts me that you’re unhappy. maybe you’re happy with me, but you’re not happy with what you are. and i understand why. you’re not the first person i’ve helped learn how to come to terms with this. but you’re the only one who has been my soulmate, so knowing that you’re upset makes me physically sick to my stomach. it hurts, hadley.”

“i know.” she teased, yelling back at her boyfriend, before looking down at the dog. the husky looked up at her, knowing that she was about to feed him, mari couldn’t help but smile. “hi baby.” the brunette kneeled down to pet the dog, and kiss him, and watched as he sniffed her stomach. “i know it’s already getting big. it’s only going to get bigger.” mari admitted as she stood up and grabbed the bowl. after feeding squish, she went back to making the coffee and a bagel for herself. “hm, you may have mentioned it.” the girl mentioned as she turned in blake’s arms so she was facing the blonde before she wrapped her arms around him. “have i told you how much i love you lately?” "

there weren’t many moments in blake’s life where he felt completely happy, but when he thought about it, every moment where he could say he was happy he was with mari. “you don’t have to, i love you more though.” he smiled and kissed her forehead. “okay, last guess. boy or girl?” he spoke quietly, just enjoying having his girl in his arms.

riley sighed, “no, it’s not. but did you just hear what i said, you get ansty, and you act like another child, i don’t need that.” she admitted as she looked down at him with a small smile. “that’s not the problem babe, i know we have the money. but you have to be doing something, because when all the babies are napping and i’m doing school work, you’re going to be looking around and doing that sighing thing you do when you’re bored.” she mocked him, sighing once more, as she moved her head to the side. “just promise me you’ll get a hobby, like, reading, or making puzzles. if you’re really going to take time off. and you can’t get grumpy when i do get grumpy about our schedule. i have a way of doing things, and i don’t want to change their schedule, i finally got them on a good one.” riley spoke, laying tyler down and picking kelsie up. “like feedings, bath times, sleeping schedules, you just have to like go with the flow.” 

ryder furrowed his brows, he knew she was right, but there was no way in hell he’d let her know that. “ew, reading.” he teased back, trying to keep the conversation light. he listened to her intently but kept his eyes on their oldest daughter, who was now snoring quietly and he couldn’t help but chuckle. “someone needed nap time.” he smiled at the sight, keeping his voice low. “i don’t wanna miss things like this. i wasn’t working as much when emmy was born, i was there for everything. i wanna be there for the twins too, especially so you can have some help. which i know you say you don’t need but i know you better.” he looked over at her with that ‘you know i’m right’ look. “and maybe when we have a minute to ourselves we can talk about this wedding we’re supposed to have. unless you don’t wanna have that anymore.”

protip ; dont give up bc ppl seem to flock to male muses much easier. dont give up bc female muses are judged much more harshly. dont give up bc the double standards between them is so disgusting.

write your female chara in spite of all that, bc they are strong and so are you, far more powerful than the hypocritical ‘ i love girls but dont give female ocs the time of day & hold them to different, twisted standards as male ocs ’ sexism tumblr perpetuates. 

dont stop writing bc ppl dont seem to be interested in her (and by extension, you, i know that feeling sucks but i promise it’s not true). write her bc you LOVE her and she deserves to have a platform in which you can express and develop her like she deserves, how YOU deserve as a writer to write strong, wonderful, female characters.

don’t let her & your confidence to write her be suffocated by this community that is infested with phake snakes.

“shit, shit! it’s a bloody cold hell out there.” sonny said to the first person he saw at the loaded café, as he just got inside and was shaking the raindrops from his hair. frustration was visibly on his face, considering the fact that he missed the last train he was supposed to take and after making a few phone calls, there was no place he could go now. the brunette male eyed the other once again for a brief moment, and then looked back to the coffee bar, he smirked. “guess i can’t even invite you a coffee, it’s so fucking loaded in here.” he said to the stranger, and stayed close to them, looking out at the window.

piper was a little startled when the tall male walked in the room, but her optimistic and sweet as sugar demeanor led her to flash him a small smile as she looked up at him while he spoke. “well, i think people just had the idea before you. coffee warms the soul.” she teased, chuckling to herself and looking out the window as the rain poured onto the streets. she had only been in this place for a few hours, her supposed date leaving her alone and now it was too late to be able to get home. “so, what brings you here?” she asked again, rubbing her hands over her arms to try and warm herself up.

jake laughed as he nodded, “i will make you something soon, i can make dinner tonight if you want me too.” he offered, as he squeezed peyton’s hand before looking back at the road ahead of them. smirking her nodded, “i know, he’ll probably be okay for a while though, until he gets hungry then it’ll be world war three.” jake laughed as he drove the small time to the restaurant. pulling into the parking lot, jake parked the car before unbuckling his seatbelt, “a list might be helpful babe, just so you don’t forget anything. not like i wouldn’t go out and get it.” he admitted before sliding out of the car and moving to the back to remove finn’s car seat. 

peyton squeezed his hand back with a small smile, almost forcing herself to. “you can if you want babe.” she said quietly, and stayed quiet until he spoke again. maybe it was just a bad day for the girl, but something just didn’t feel right about her. “no wait.” she said as she hopped out of the car before jake could get their son’s car seat out. “i just wanna hold him. you can leave the car seat in there.” she said and took the baby from his seat, letting him snuggle into her chest and feeling herself relax almost instantly. “hi sweet boy...” she whispered and kissed his head, focusing entirely on her baby.

jojo held onto the jacket tightly, her bottom lip shaking slightly as she sat on the bumper of the ambulance. looking around at the ally, and the police cars, she wasn’t sure where her things were. “i lost my purse and my phone.” she whispered as she squinted, before looking back up at the paramedic. “jojo.” she answered as she bit her lip. “i don’t have my phone or wallet or anything.” she admitted once more. 

nate started working, checking her vitals once again but this time focusing on her actions as well, knowing he needed to keep her calm. “hi jojo. wish we could have met at a better time.” he smiled and scanned over the bruises and scrapes on her arms and neck, a twinge of pain traveling through him. “we can try and find it for you if you’d like. but we gotta take you to the hospital okay? you can refuse but..." nate trailed off. what was he supposed to say? the girl had just been assaulted, but sadly it was her choice to decide if she wanted to be looked at. “what was the last thing you remember before passing out?” he asked, trying to divert from the topic for a moment.

hadley was right on mason’s heels, not letting him out of the conversation that easy. following him out into the yard, she rolled her eyes, “that’s not what i’m saying mason. if you just dropped the conversation about me learning how to control my shifting or if we just didn’t talk about it i’d be fine.”she admitted, watching him get angrier by the second. sighing as he ran into the woods and shifted, she slowly followed after him, before getting to the edge of the trees and leaning against one of them. “nobody is going to understand this because they aren’t werewolves. i just feel like i would be happier if we didn’t talk about it.” she admitted, her voice the same tone it was, knowing he could hear her. “the moon didn’t make a mistake, i love you very much mason.” 

mason was more reckless than he probably should be for being the leader of his own pack. he learned pretty quickly how to control his shifting, how to separate his anger issues and not allow them to shift and destroy. but now, he felt weaker than he had ever felt before. “you’d get a new soulmate, somebody who listens and understands.” he knew she could hear him, as well as the rest of the damn pack. but they knew better than to say something to the man that would kill them in an instant. “i don’t deserve someone. if i could make you go back, if i could have saved you from ever getting attacked that night, i would. because then you would have been happy.” his thoughts were somber, and if he hadn’t shifted tears would have been silently falling down his face.”

“promise” blake smiled and kissed her back before she got up, admiring the little bump she now had and he couldn’t help but smile. “you’re literally the most perfect girl ever.” he half shouted back and rubbed his eyes to wake himself up. giving himself another minute he stood up and started to get ready, eventually walking downstairs and hugging his girlfriend from behind. “have i told you how gorgeous you are today? and every day?” he smirked.

You get antsy around the house and I know how much you like work.” riley admitted, her brow raising. “you know i’m right.” 

ryder shook his head. “i wanted time with my family. is that a crime?” he asked, though she wasn’t wrong. he was basically another child when he was home for too long. “i like work. but i like being with my kids and future wife more. it’s not like we don’t have the money.” he sighed and closed his eyes again as the sun started to peek out from behind the clouds over them, the sun hitting his face.
