[OPINION] EA Killed The Sims 4 Gallery
The Gallery used to feel like a real social network - somewhere you could share your creations, discover others, and actually connect with the community.
But EA managed to undermine it in two simple steps:
1. Removing the "News" tab (2 years ago) This feature kept the community alive. It notified you when someone downloaded, liked, or commented on your uploads, and it let you see new creations from people you follow. Without it, that sense of interaction and feedback is basically gone.
2. Changing the default sort to "Most Popular" (recently) The Gallery used to default to "Newest", which gave fresh creations a fair shot at visibility. Every time you opened it, you’d see new content - even from smaller creators. Now, with "Most Popular" as the default, older, already-successful uploads dominate. Sure, you can switch it back manually - but most users won't. And that means new creations get far less exposure.
EA, if you ever see this - please consider reverting these changes. The community deserves better.
They fixed #2 btw!
