i think it’s really weird how shippers have turned top/bottom into Gender Roles The Sequel and are stereotyping people’s sex positions based on their physical appearance, personality traits, or even mental health status. “which one of you is the woman??” has evolved into “which one is the sweet soft tiny anxious uwu bratty bottom???” which is arguably weirder and more invasive.

the way netflix publicly renewed the society and excite fans only to then turn around and cancel it is so frustrating and really fucking irritating for fans who got their hopes up and the people who work on the show and have now all lost their jobs that they thought were guaranteed

the society is such an amazing show with lgbt rep, disability rep, feminism, an interesting plot and not just unnecessary romance tm just bc it is a show targeted at teens, intriguing characters that are not simply "bad" or "good", deep questions about our existence, forms of (acceptable) punishment, political systems and leadership etc. AND it got cancelled after it had already been renewed like a year ago,,,meanwhile shows like the kissing booth get three parts

Honestly the most annoying thing about Will LeClair is that his character had the potential to be one of the best in the whole show but instead he’s incredibly boring.

He’s the only person in town who isn’t rich. He’s one of three black characters in the show. He’s the only one shown to have experience fending for himself (assuming none of the other characters had absent parents which is another underutilized theme) and not having everything done for him.

But instead the writers were like ‘lets make the most boring man in the world who literally can’t even tell that he likes Allie until someone else tells him’.
