currently in real life torment nexus etc. so it took me a few days but I managed to finish my first art fight attack for the amazing @stars-in-my-damn-eyes ; the guys in the pic are: Matthys (left) and Agata (right)
i love them and have though they were fucking awesome every since i saw the animatic for them !!! also i learned a lot in this piece though i think the most important part of that being was just: "just fucking DO IT" even if it looked rough at first (man was that a long ass ugly painting stage sdfghjsdf) really proud of it now tho
So.... I decided to try and do my very first Art Fight! Let's see how much I'll manage - I'm so bad at giving my OCs ref sheets so there's only 4 characters from 2 different world uploaded rn. Maybe I'll find the muse to do more during July but uh... work. and real life. and trying to do attacks

Also yes if you want to know how I got inspired by the two Inspo; basically to copy from my own A/N:
it kind of started with a adhd thought spiral when the parasite's in polarspaz' AUs got names and somehow somewhere I remembered that fucing spider isekai? + that 'that time i got reincarnated as a slime' (mind you, ive read/watched neither) and I wrote a message into the discord which was compromised basically a parady of the isekai stuffs aka "oh no i got reincarnated as the parasite that leon kennedy is infected with in my favorite video game resident evil 4"
if you want to laugh, i prefaced that with "ive just the most stupid cracky idea and while its not something id write the thought made me laugh for minutes." so..... yall see how that turned out

Bruce thought that he had discarded his heart years ago, certainly he has been trying - albeit in vain. He has always felt too strongly, and knew if he kept his heart on his sleeve it would end in inevitable heartbreak.
Hidden, protected, locked away like a stone thrown in the harbor never to be seen again.
Yet, it has swept ashore, demanded to be seen.
Then again, little Dick Grayson, eyes so much like his own, defiant and brave and stranded on foreign shores would be the one to easily find his heart and pluck it from the ground and carry it onwards in his own scarred hands.

Dick knows he's fucked up, he doesn't need anyone to tell him that. It doesn't change much about the circumstances he's found himself in anyway.
He can feel the edges of his vision darkening on him, the static in his mind encroaching slowly, slowly, as if mocking him. The ice cold realization of knowing the panic attack will come and helpless to stop it.
Alone, in civvies, injured from a fall of all things and -
The displacement of air, a heavy intake of breath on two counts and he looks up through blurry vision to see Wally's red, red hair and next to it, Donna, her eyes as familiar as his own.
Oh. His team is here.
He lets himself succumb to the fuzziness, safe in his knowledge that his family will take care of him.

The world slowly swims back into focus.
He doesn't understand what happened. One moment he was fine, he had cut himself on accident and had watched the blood drip down his hand.

From one moment to the next there was this...weight on him. His chest had hurt, it had been hard to breathe, his vision failing him.
He blinks at the man before him.
Bruce Wayne.
Batman.
The one who destroyed the Court. The one who took him in. Who gave him back his name. He tried to be good, like the Court had taught him. Talons take orders. Talons don't have emotions.
Batman tells him he isn't a Talon, that he is Dick Grayson, that he is allowed to want things and have emotions. But how long will he be kept around if he does that? Is this a test?
He... the floor is dirty. There is wetness on his cheeks. It will be in Batman's right to punish him for his weakness.
Another blink and Batman - Bruce is kneeling in front of him, his hands holding Dick's own and he makes noise. Only belatedly does Dick realize it's a lullaby, his voice is raspy and wavering and unsure but the realness is...comforting.
There is a memory from Before, from someone singing to him in a like manner, but it was higher, softer. He can't - the memory leaves him and there are only strong and scarred hands, and a warm voice.
He closes his eyes, listens silently, and feels more of the wetness running down his cheeks.

W - What first drew him to Whitestone was the mix of dead and living resentment saturating the bloodied halls, saturating the very earth.
R - "Redemption is a thankless road."
E - Emon, for all that it attracts evil as far as he can tell, lies peaceful and still the day Jarett Howarth resigns from the army of Tal'dorei.
C - "Child," Delilah Briarwood says in a mockery of a mother's tone, "aren't you a little young to play around with such dark forces?"
K - Keyleth leaves the next morning, Vex and Trinket in tow.
And now I am suddenly extremely motivated to continue writing this^^

A - And then, a miracle happens.
G - Give him hell, Sigrid, Alcarto thought, pressing his hand against his side, trying to staunch the bleeding.
