Cassandra Montague Moodboard
I highly doubt theyâd poison me.Â
[finishes making the tea and pours it into a cup, sniffing it, but not really recognizing it] This isnât sparking any memoriesâŚ
Well they did so you shouldn't. You're sure? Not even a little bit?
Wicked Games || Nicolas&Cassandra
Nicolas smiled, placing the book on the shelf as he moved back over to her, she seemed worry and she had every right to be, after all they were going up against a massive hunter force, but he gave them the better end of the stick, they didnât rely on guns, or arrows, they were their own force and ones that didnât need reloading. He walked up to her and shook his head, âDonât thank me, not needed.â He spoke his fingers brushing against her arm, âThere is not controlling that beast, lets just hope he and I are in better moods that day.â He laughed at her proposition. He nodded, âMaybe that thought I didnât notice. or hoped I didnât.â He smirked as he nodded once more, âWonât be too hard, all I have to do is speak about Derek and it should go pretty easy from there.â Â he was already thinking of ways to get them out, and where he wanted them, âThey are all on vervain and wolfsbane, and not even my power can break through that, youâd be putting yourself at more risk. He held her hand and sighed, âIâll try my hardest love, no promises.â He smiled, âSame goes for you though.â he turned it back, though he was serious, probably just how she was when she said it to him.
"That's true," she agreed, "I'm sure all of them are dying to say that they took down the main alpha on the land," she shook her head at the thought, still unable to process how these hunters could look at the people of this town more as animals to shoot and kill than actual people. She had done some awful things in her past but she owned up to them, these hunters attacked people that had never done anything to them all in the name of doing what was "right". Even without her humanity Cassandra had been better than the hunters were in that regard. A small smile crossed her face, in an attempt of trying to look reassuring, "I'll try my best, no promises," she nearly quoted back word for word. She didn't want to get attacked or injured obviously but she knew just as well as anyone that sometimes she got into situations that she didn't plan on initially.
Memories || Kacey & Cassandra
Kacey had followed Cassandra, wanting to see where she was going and also because her plan would be much more easily executed somewhere that wasnât the vampireâs house. She knew things could go badly if Cassandra didnât come around and take the huntersâ side, but it was a risk she would have to takeâ the other blonde was a threat to the mission so long as she remained opposed to the hunters, and Kacey couldnât let that stay that way. Plus, the wolf had the hunters waiting for her signal, so she wasnât too worried for her own safety. When she saw Cassandra walk into a graveyard and sit in front of a grave, she decided this was as good a time as any, and followed her in, walking over to the grave and standing slightly behind the vampire as she read the inscription on it. âSo this is the Zane everyone keeps telling me about?â Kacey questioned, burying her hands in her jacket pockets out of habit. The name still didnât ring any bells. The cemetery seemed familiarâ like sheâd been here beforeâ but she couldnât recall why, and her head hurt the moment she tried to. Kacey decided it was best not to push the memories to returnâ after all, Grayson had assured her that itâd even taken him a year before he remembered some people. The memories would return eventually, in their own time. âI was wrong, you know,â she stated, deciding to just get the conversation over with, âAbout the hunters.â
Cassandra's gaze softened slightly when she realized it was Kacey but she still couldn't help but feel a bit disturbed. This was one of the times that she didn't want to be interrupted or bothered and Kacey, even if she didn't know, was doing just that. "Yeah, this is Zane," Cassandra replied as she turned her eyes away from Kacey and back to the stone, reaching out halfway to touch his name before pulling her hand back to her chest prematurely. "His body isn't here though," she elaborated, "He just kind of vanished after sacrificing himself for us by stopping the queen bitch once and for all." She sat in silence before Kacey spoke again and Cassandra didn't move her gaze away from the grave as she spoke, "Wrong how?" wanting to make sure that they were on the same page.
I guess weâll see if it works.
I guess we will
What's that face for?
I can make it, I guess. [starts making the tea] But I donât think this is gonna do anything⌠Itâs just a cure for wolfsbane poisoningâ which I donât have.
Zane gave you the recipe after hunters attacked you with wolfsbane multiple times. I'm hoping you might get a flash of something from the smell. It's probably far-fetched but it doesn't hurt to try.
Tea? [searches through the recipes] Could it be this one? It says itâs for wolfsbane poisoningâŚ
Yeah that should be it
Do you want to make it or should I?
Memories || Open
She hadn't been to Zane's grave in at least a week and she was pretty sure that that was the longest she had gone without visiting. She had no idea if he was able to hear what she said, she wasn't too sure how all of that worked anyway even with personally being dead, but it made her feel better to have someone to talk to even when all that was left of them was a rounded stone with their name carved into it. "So basically everything in this town has once again gone to hell," Cassandra sighed as she sat down in front of the grave, ignoring the slightly wet grass from the drizzling October rain, "Kacey's lost all of her memories and...." she was about to continue when she heard footsteps behind her, catching her off guard and causing her to immediately look behind herself at the intruder.
Recipes? [opens a drawer filled with recipes] What do we need a recipe for?
I'm looking for a recipe Zane made you.. It would have been for tea
Fine, letâs goâ before I change my mind.
[after going to kacey's house, goes to where Kacey keeps the tea] Well it's not in here... Do you have anywhere that you keep recipes or anything like that?
⌠Fine, but this is a terrible idea.
That's fine, as long as you come
My house? But⌠they know where I live. They might look for me thereâŚ
Then we'll go there briefly and you can stay at my house.
Just trust me, you've saved my life before and you're my best friend even if you don't remember anything about me, I'm not going to let a few pesky hunters steal you away
Gatherings || Marcus, Cassandra, Nicolas, Derek
Marcus took his time, to getting to the house. He was the farthest from it, but itâs the only location that wasnât buzzing with activity. Itâs the chills the house gave off. He slipped in from the back, just in case and set the alarm for the hunterâs that might come in, although they didnât see drawn. He wasnât sure how desperate, he only caught the last of Nicolasâs speech. âIâm right here, sorry. This place is rather far..â he said taking a deep breath. âThis place, is the only place that hasnât been raided around or hunterâs around. As he said, itâs the feeling it gives off. It wouldnât surprise me if the womanâs ghost is still roaming the hallâs given she dies hard.â he commented before clearing his throat. âAlright weâre all here, so maybe we should get started on how we should handle thisâŚSo far, from talking to each of you except Nicolas, The hunterâs are able to sway or do something to make one of us on their side. Theyâve gotten to Kacey. Hence why she isnât here.â he said, starting that out. âSo any ideaâs anyoneâŚstarting with Cassandra, moving through Nicolas, then Derek. And we can discuss all our stuff at the end. That way everyone can speak.â he said, knowing he might talking to them like they are kidâs but itâs easy for all of them to just begin speaking their opinions, and it would turn into a screaming match then what it was intended for. âSo Cassandra, ladies firstâ he gestured to the vampire, giving her the floor to speak.
Before she and Derek could talk much longer, Cassandra heard the sound of footsteps approaching once more. She began to tense before almost immediately recognizing them to belong to Nicolas. He entered into the room and immediately she felt a bit better, the tension between herself and Derek feeling palpable at least in Cassandra's mind because of her distrust of the wolf. "Hey," Cassandra greeted him softly as Nicolas's lips pulled away from her cheek, beginning to speak when she heard the final member of their group of four enter the room and she instead fell silent. Usually she would have been irritated at Marcus for taking charge but right now she just kept reminding herself that there were a lot more important things than who was leading the meeting, and as he suggested that he spoke first a bit more of that irritation faded as well. "So..." Cassandra began trying to figure out how much detail she did or didn't want to go into, "Mine is really more an update than an actual plan for the situation," she explained, "I ran into Kacey a few days ago and we got into a fight in the forest kind of like what I'm expecting happened between you and her, Marcus," she glanced towards the wolf in recognition, "The next day I ran into her once again but this time she was rather spooked. She won't tell me much, but I think the hunters tried to do something to her again and she escaped?" Cassandra took a breath as she glanced towards Derek to judge his reaction, "She doesn't remember anything positive, only the bad things. She remembers when I killed a woman in front of her over a necklace, she remembers that Nicolas killed someone in front of her to prove a point, and she doesn't remember Zane or a different world or the tea shop or anything like that." She paused momentarily before continuing, "I even tried to use other senses to bring back even a fragment of a memory like brewing the tea Zane made for her but nothing. The more she tries to remember the more her head hurts." She turned to directly address Nicolas, "I actually wanted to ask you if maybe you'd try compelling her? Or at least let me try?" she questioned even though it was still in front of the entire group, "I just want to figure out if there's a way to get through this mind control thing especially if they get anybody else." She turned back to the rest of the group, "Currently she's staying with me, she's scared of the hunters coming after her, but I feel like it might only be a matter of time before she bolts or her condition worsens and she turns on me." She shrugged in an attempt to brush the very serious situation casually off of her shoulders after finishing the monologue that had turned out to be much longer than she had planned, "As far as ideas, Nicolas's apartment could probably come into good use?" she turned to look at him as she spoke, expecting him to speak next if they were following the order Marcus had made, and figuring that it was a perfect transition into what he had to offer.
I remember Derek giving me permission to stay, and that I was running from other alphas who were trying to kill me âcause they didnât want another alpha on their territories⌠My other senses? What do you have in mind?
We're going to your house, I'll tell you when we get there just in case it doesn't pan out
Nothing specific that I can think ofâŚÂ I justâ whenever I try to remember things, there isnât any detail. Like, I remember I was orphaned, but I canât actually remember where I grew up, or how I became an alpha. And⌠and thinking about it hurts. It gives me a headache, the more I try to remember.
Try to remember the first time that you came into town. Does that give you anything? Or we could try to use your other senses to hopefully bring something back. Would you be willing to try that?
