Kain Elder form Sculpt medium close-up by TheHylden
Hand my muse a costume or mask, and they will be transformed into that thing for an entire thread.
Spooky, fantasy, mundane, literally a piece of buttered toast, doesn’t matter.
Part 5: Nosgoth’s sub evils. Miscellaneous bits and pieces from the tomb and Rahab
“You are able to scale seven walls.”
“But…”
“No more, no less.”
“your brother jamar”
Ah yes, Jamar: lesser-known brother of Raziel.

weird noises: happen in the wee hours
me, unaffected: the only supernatural and ominous force in this place is me and i was here first, so whatever and whoever you are you need to Go
Now I'm really curious...Reblog this if you're 20 or older.
The lack of notes.
Sadly, yes.
Reblog this if you don’t mind doing multiple threads at a time with someone.
"Father, father! I learned to transform like the others!" -- a young fledgling Zephon.
Kain stared for a moment, eyes narrowed in consideration. It was no small feat for a fledgling, but he knew it would do no good to have one of his children feel too haughty. He gave a small nod towards Zephon, “I see. Show me.”
Proudly Zephon stood back and clenched his fists, leaning into a smile that soon seemed to be followed with a great deal of pain and retching.
Whatever this transformation was, it certainly wasn’t very attractive, to say the least…
Zephon put a hand to one of his knees, holding out a remarkably ordinary human’s hand in pause as if to say; “It’s coming” before he swung back upright, a few legs coming out of his limp jaw.
In a matter of moments a single, dark spider spell unceremoniously to the floor, followed by a mouthful of moths, night-crawlers, locusts, and flies until Zephon’s human form simply vanished within the flurry of wings and legs escaping their once whole mass.
Most of the bugs did scatter, sans a few looming arachnids and moths which landed peacefully in the nearby grass and trees.
“Like this?” he whispered, one of the larger spiders twitching it’s legs at Kain. “Did I do it right?”
While it was not as imposing as what some of his other children could do, Kain could appreciate the usefulness of what he saw. Bugs were everywhere in human settlements and cities-- they would be overlooked and easily able to listen in on information or infiltrate areas. Of course, that is assuming his child could hold the transformation for any considerable length of time. With how difficult it seemed to be to get to that point, Kain knew it would be a while before this new skill could be put to good use.
Slowly, the sire gave a small nod of approval. It was not much, but Kain never gave much. He wanted to encourage his offspring to be the best they possibly could and saw no better way to do so than making them feel like they were never quite good enough. “It could stand to be a smoother transition. You will need to learn to control every little piece of you that is crawling around, and avoid being stepped on.” His lips twitched upwards slightly, “Still. It was not bad for an attempt.”

“I’m still mad.”
“Are you? Color me surprised, Raziel. Tell me, what are you mad about? Your broken wings? The time spent in the abyss? Having to murder your siblings? Which are we going to complain about today?”

Mortanius stroked his beard. “There are advantages to practicing discretion. Your fortitude is impressive; however, that does not give me excuse to ignore your master’s despicable behavior. The wicked deserve just retribution. Let us leave it at that.”
He leaned down and held out two shiny gold coins. If the practices of the Lion Pride were similiar to the Sarafan in their hayday, Kain’s family was strictly limited in what gifts they could send. Squires born with noble blood were afforded little if any spending money. This would be enough for Kain to treat himself. “A reward for bravery.”
As much as Kain wanted to argue, there was not enough to argue about. Discretion was something Kain thought to be useless, but he was not going to change the way the world worked to better suit his liking through a discussion with an old man; friend of the king or no. Instead, the child huffed and slowly took the two coins, as though half expecting it to be some kind of trick. He was not allowed such gifts, but no one else was around to stop the exchange. His master-- who would have gladly taken it from Kain-- was busy losing a joust. There were enough people selling things for the occasion that it would be easy to get rid of the coins quickly on some sweet treat and then eat the evidence. Perhaps this money was itself a lesson in discretion.
“Thank you,” The child noble replied, “Do you have a name?” He was too stubborn to let the stranger leave without giving him any of the information he wanted. “So I can remember to thank you more properly when I am older and have coin or lands of my own with which to repay you.” If he cared enough or remembered to do so when that day came.
