Andrew Marlowe: Castle and Beckett end up being accidental nannies. If I’m the fan and I’ve been watching this show, I know a lot about Rick and Kate, but I don’t really know how they feel about more kids. Does Castle want more? And for Beckett, somebody who has been pursuing her career and her job so doggedly, I’m sure it’s crossed her mind theoretically - ‘Oh, sure. I’ll have kids someday.’ - but someday’s coming up. We get to see Castle and Beckett playing house and taking a big step forward in their relationship.
#I’M DROWNING IN EMOTIONS #because of course martha will help them #and of course castle is going to insist that beckett lays down on the couch for a little bit #and he’ll take the floor because someone has to stay up with the baby #and he knows if he lies down that he won’t stay awake #and kate needs her sleep #and they’ll be totally discombobulated #because he doesn’t know how to do this with a partner #and she doesn’t know how to do it at all #and their stuff will be scattered all around for weeks (months) until they get into a groove #until they start to figure out sleep schedules and feedings #and tummy times and work-life balances #they’ll be exhausted and confused #but they’ll be happy anyway #because they’re a family #no matter how crazy or unexpected it gets (x)
I also love how their faces are inches apart. I can’t even.
