This is because I said my crowd last year was relatively well behaved lol

sometimes will gets these moods where he wants to isolate himself and kind of shuts mike out and turns moody and apathetic because of all the issues™. they get into arguments about it sometimes because will's trying to keep mike at arm's length while mike wants to stay close, to insist, to dissect and understand and fix things for will.

when this happens to will, it's usually followed by a depressive episode where he's full of guilt and fear that mike's gonna grow tired of how "difficult" he is (on top of all the other challenges they face as a queer couple) and leave. but mike proves him wrong because mike takes care of him every time. running baths for him, helping him wash, bringing him food and snacks and treats, showing him even more affection (if that's possible, lol). kisses him all over his face, tells will how loved he is, how wanted he is.

when will thinks he's not worth the effort, mike tells him that being there for him is as natural as breathing. that he's worth everything and more. and to put things in perspective, he sometimes reminds will that he stayed and loved mike through all the shitty things mike did pre-relationship, when it would have been understandable if will walked away and never spoke to him again.

Well, he's not made enough movies that I'm desperate to see because he's the one who made them. I like films but I'm a borderline film bro, not truly, because I'm inadequate to talk about directors like I really know what I'm saying. I don't like to pretend I'm more deeply invested than I am. Who's directing something is interesting for comparison and conversation, but ultimately for movies it's film to film, standing on it's own for me (queue another fight re: the eternal music debate on here).

I like a lot of Fincher films and his style. Jordan Peele. Sophia Coppola. Hmmm. I looked up a list of modern directors and leafed through movies and was like "oh this director's good, I like them!" but when I've only seen maybe 2 things they've directed... that can't count. I think that's the thing. I just watch movies and my taste is all over so there's not enough data for me to narrow down directors I like just for them. I can't think of too many who I'd see a movie just for the director foremost...

Interesting, I don’t know if I’ve ever heard that before (people specifically describing it as tedious, not just not being into it). Why do you find it tedious?

Just not a topic that ever really compelled me or I found interesting. Greek myth, roman history and all that. Hmmm. Not for me. It doesn't grab my attention so media about it I find tedious because I don't really care??? I think it's over-focused on in grade school like oh here we go again, aren't there other options? Then again, I'm not suuuper interested in mythology in general.

Are you going to watch The Odyssey/ do you like Christopher Nolan films?

I've liked films he's made but I wouldn't say I'm specifically a Nolan fan in any notable way. I like The Dark Knight a lotttttttttt but I kinda hated Inception for example lol. Oppenheimer was fine. Have seen the whole Batman trilogy and Interstellar and that's it off his filmography.

I'll probably watch The Odyssey at some point but we're not rushing out to see it, even if in IMAX is the best way to see it. Maybe. Still undecided. It honestly was a pretty chill time - there's no age limit to his shows!! I'm a grown man lol

Sure. I won't lie - the crowd was overwhelmingly teenaged (or a few years removed). Which isn't a terrible thing to be, but we can't pretend that youth is the most well mannered demographic. That's reality. Nothing too ridiculous happened at mine. I got there maybe an hour to a half hour before doors opened so idk how long people in that line were waiting - I think the more people line up waaaaaaaay too early, the more annoying the crowd is just because I feel people who take getting to the front super seriously usually are irritating. Sorry. That's my opinion!! To camp out for a small venue indie show is ridiculous to me.

Frankly, there were a lot of people there with their parents so that made up a lot of the crowd too, but these folks lingered near the bar area or off to the sides. I was kinda anxious at the show because I was going through something personal at the same time so me acting really friendly helps distract me - so I was chatting with some of the parents tbh🤭

No one screamed anything embarrassing at him during the show or threw stuff which I was super glad for, but it was a sea of phones and and he'd called it out like "I bet this is your first rock show for a lot of you" or something like that which I thought was both apt and hilarious.

I fought my way to the front once because I wanted to see him up close haha but there was no way I was hanging around up there. I'm small so I could push through lol. Mostly, there were a bunch of guys who were chilling in the back, drinking and singing/dancing. That was where the best vibe was - and we all knew the words to sing for the released songs. That was the energy in the crowd I gathered - few up front and in the crowd were singing or dancing. Just filming and stuff.

While we were in line it was really funny, but they decided to charge a cover to get in because I think the venue realized after judging the crowd outside that they would make very little money at the bar that night, so anyone under 21 had to pay a little extra at the door hahaha. The hot bartender I flirted with was complaining about the demographic as well hahaha so I was like, oh I'll keep you busy and be back several times 🤭 hence, me getting sloppy drunk at the Finn Woldhard concert. I had a lot of fun!!!

Honestly, I had a really nice time. The sound was kinda bad at the venue but the energy in the section I was chilling was greattttttt so I really enjoyed myself. I'm actually not going to a show this tour now so I'm living vicariously through everyone else!!

What do you love about skinny dipping?

Ooooooo the freedom!!! I'm big on loving the body in its natural state and while I'm not an actual "nudist", I do enjoy certain opportunities to just be bare. It's nice! Feels fun and free and natural to be in water. Just feels nice. I'm looking to go to a nude beach sometime in the future and see what that's like. Bodies are great - and also entirely neutral. I'm not out here advocating for a clothing-optional average day-to-day world, but there being situations and scenarios wherein we can be a little free from this convention of society and exist nude?? I like that concept. Into it.
