it was soft and sweet and sacred but then she couldn’t face her fears and it was too heavy for me to carry alone and I had to break my own heart. it’s so hard to stand in front of someone and ask them to love you one day and it’s even harder to be the only one to admit that they never will

life was getting really dark and I thought my heart was gonna eat its way through my guts but then my friend was like let’s take your dog to the park! and look how happy she was
