very long pokemon catching post God Bless
in your spare time, you find solace being among God's creation.
you know that here, in this world, "God" is not the God you knew (god is a collection of scientists, of beings who crafted this city and tore off your broken wings and placed you and so many others in this place) - but still, you can't deny the familiarity of the landscaping, the calm of being wrapped in light and the scent of grass and pollen.
normally there wouldn't be much to see here in terms of fauna - in the end, a city is a city, and the area mostly has squirrels, chipmunks, pigeons, and other assorted small creatures well acclimated to life among humans. of course, you're not sure what else you expected - it's been a long time since you saw the brachiosaurus.
now, however, the park is populated by a healthy handful of strange, cartoonish creatures. you're faintly aware of what they are - "pokey-mon" or something of the sort - but you've had generally minimal interaction with them. your first instinct is to be wary, but... after spending time just watching them, they seem alright, you think. where once you would expect the bobbling head of an iridescent pigeon, there's instead large grey birds with almost cartoonish proportions tap-tapping around, chirping at each other with vocalizations new to you.
you're consumed in your thoughts when it approaches you - the Honeycomb.
it's, not animal... at least not in the strictest sense, but you perceive faces... eyes... smiles. three faces, squished together into a singular form; clumsily, it zips over to you, uttering chirping sounds and other bizarre things you wouldn't expect a flying honeycomb to make.
tenderly, you reach out a hand and place the fingers of your vessel onto its smooth little body. it doesn't feel quite like you expected, but then again, despite years of experience, still the wonders of touch (and taste and smell and so many others) can elude you.
you then quickly realize it's not alone. a swarm of other flying honeycombs dart around the grass, and eventually bumble towards you, nudging against your vessel's body with budding curiosity. it's at that moment you wished you had something for them - honey, sugar water, anything, but your possessions are devoid of anything that could satisfy the creatures, and eventually, their interest sated, they fly away, scattering into the distance in a dispersion of gold.
one remains, however. it must have been the one that first approached you. like some of the others, a red spot marks the center of its middle forehead, and it hovers closer to you, as if still wondering if you have something for it.
it's at that moment you remember the Pokey Balls, and the announcement that came with their arrival. they came to you as a reward, and you remember briefly, curiously, searching around for how to use them... this honeycomb seems particularly attached to you, and you have been rather lonely...
you take out the Pokey Ball. it's cold and small and metallic in your hand; you wonder how a creature could fit in here. the honeycomb watches closely as your thumb pushes down on the button, and within your vessel's very grasp the ball expands. you blink curiously, tilting your head... and then you lightly extend it towards the Pokey Mon.
the honeycomb changes into a burst of light, and enters into the ball. you look down at it in alarm; is it inside? you reach out a tendril of grace and sense it there; compressed, somehow, in the little world of the Pokey Ball. but you miss it already and you want it back... but you have no idea how to make it come out.
