/ / HEWWO THERE. This’ll be a starter ad for Part 2 of the overlay event. I’ll be capping it at 3, with castmates being excluded from that count.
Yeager is a veteran fighter and more than capable of helping those unable to fight, or working with those who can- or fighting people who want to abuse their powers.
He also has horrible ptsd from a war he died in while fighting a bunch of monsters coincidentally so if he starts bugging out, well, you know! / /
War, this is something he’s familiar with. This is something Yeager has always been familiar with- even more so with monsters. It didn’t seem like he’d be able to fight at full power consistently, probably for the best. He glances towards the nearest ‘safe zone’, he doesn’t need to be somewhere like that.
A small blue dragon-shark-esque creature is making sounds, running around in circles.
“Ja Levi, There’s quite a lot isn’t there. Stay close now.”
He raises up his transformed weapon- compact form, perfect for travelling. Simple goblins would pose no threat to him. A quick slash and one falls, he flicks a switch as the weapon transforms into a scythe and he cuts through another.
His small dragon companion is waving at people to run towards the lights, so it could be helpful. Yeager gives him a small nod, he’d give him a treat later. there’s several monster corpses around him- and yet he feels uneasy. Something isn’t right.
It’s the smell.
The smell of their blood. . . The overwhelming stench. He hasn’t felt it in so long, more than ten years. His blastia is expelling more energy, he can’t control it. He feels nauseous, everything is wrong, the monsters, the civilians running, the ground shaking, this . . . This was over it wasn’t supposed to be that way anymore.
He kneels down, he’s unable to think straight anymore. His weapon transformed back into its compact-sword form. The ground feels shaky, he can’t focus on anything.
He can hear his Gible in the background, maybe some sparks and fire but he can’t move. Again, stuck on the battlefield, surrounded by corpses.
Again.
Meet the Assassin
//Hey-o all, back at it again, finally posting some quick info about my guy Yeager. Pretty soon I’ll be posting a plotter/starter ad for him- and I know(or assume) most people do not even remember him from the game he is in. So of course, I figured it best to just list some stuff.
→ Father : Yeager is a father to two young girls by the name of Droite and Gauche. He cares for them greatly, I’d go as far as to say they are probably the most important things to him. It should be noted they are (unofficially) adopted, not blood related. In their side quests it’s revealed he sends a good amount of funding to orphanages to help them out.
→ Solider for life : He has been in the military since he was young, and even after his death he was brought back to serve his commander again. He can have a very cynical outlook on things, especially revolving around wars and battle. He’s also good at fighting and he knows it- enjoys it even.
→Businessman : He makes deals for a living, contracts, selling weapons, modifying blastia. Making profits, he lives in a rather large manor and makes enough money to supply upwards of a hundred assassins. Not to mention his own weapons and those of his more elite units. He’ll never pass up a good deal.
→ Playful/showoff : He seems to have a knack for putting on a show, while he can fight effectively and quickly when necessary, he seems to prefer some amount of grandiose. He knows magic tricks, he often makes a entrance and an exit for himself. He tends to be over dramatic with some of his responses as well. He is definitely “Extra”.
→ Ruins Nerd : Throughout the course of the game you learn he actually runs two guilds (both of which are relatively large and well known). One of which is called “Ruins Gate”. The main purpose of this guild was to excavate ‘Blastia’ to use for weapons and other such things. However, he has a pretty solid knowledge of the history of blastia, and the ruins they come from. It’s no surprise, if you’re acting as a leader of a guild all about these things you do have to know a /little/ about them. It’s quite possible his only true ‘normal’ hobby, examining older ruins and dig-sites, finding antiques and the like.
→ Gets the job done : It doesn’t matter who the hit is for, if he respects the person or not, if they’re important to their city, to the world. He’s willing to go to whatever lengths necessary in order to finish his contracts. Even if he doesn’t like the people giving the payout, as long as they keep their end of the deal he keeps his.
→ Honorable : Despite, you know, being an assassin and dealing in illegal arms trading and sabotage. He does have honor for people he deems strong or worthwhile, even if he’s killed them he’ll still stop and show his respect and thanks to them. The best example of this is that, even though he was the main reason for the Don’s death. He still chose to show up with Gauche and Droite to offer thanks and say kind words at his funeral, refusing to engage in combat while there.

Of all the people he had to be paired with…why did it have to be Yeager? Sure, they were from the same world, but…Yeager??? Really? Flynn’s fighting down the urge to say something rude, because honestly he shouldn’t. But if Yeager suggests a team name of something like “Leviathan’s Claw” Flynn might just have to take the threat of death instead.
“So. Yeager. It…looks like we’re a team. I’ll admit I hadn’t expected to see you any time soon…”
Especially since he was dead, to Flynn’s knowledge. But they were together, so there was nothing Flynn could do for it.
“Do you have any suggestions for a team name? I suppose it’s somewhat akin to a guild… Brave Vesperia, perhaps?”
Flynn wasn’t in a guild, he had no idea how the hell to name them.
Yeager hadn’t really given the whole event too much thought, his mind was elsewhere currently. Why did it always come down to death? But a certain someone is worth bringing him to the ‘now’, a little knight he had not seen in a very long time.
A smile spreads across the older man’s face as Flynn confirms it. A team, how wonderful.
“You’re telling me- I haven’t seen anyone else from our world. Lo’ and behold the first one to show themselves is the rising star of the capital himself.”
The young knight seems a little disgruntled about the situation. He can only imagine why- how many times had Zagi tried to end Yuri’s life? How many times had his assassin’s attempted to kill him and his friends? But t’was all in the past now, Yeager was actually rather ecstatic to see him.
“Brave Vesperia?” The laugh following is immediate, There’s no way he would use that name. It’s not as if he hated it or the people in it, but he was not apart of that brightest star in the sky. It was a name not meant for him to claim. “Surely you jest, How about something more stage-worthy. . . People would get right away, ja?”
He’s pensive for just a moment before snapping his fingers, satisfied with a new name. Both true and perhaps a little cruel.
“Dogs of the Military. Good one, no?”

Other people seemed to be running around, screaming, looking for loved ones, reuniting with friends and enemies. Yeager had absolutely no idea what had transpired to make people act this way- he also had no idea where he was.
The hole in the ground, the eclipse in the sky so many different people about . . . The sound of a small explosion in the background . . . He glances back, even though he already knows what caused it- his little Landshark had returned, just as good at destroying things as ever.
It happily runs up to him, staying right next to him and keeping pace with it’s little waddle.
“Ja. . . Good times.” He lets out a sigh as he pinches the bridge of his nose. There should only be one place where he has this creature- but this wasn’t that place. This place was in ruins, and smaller- not to mention there was an ocean.
What’s an assassin to do in a place like this?
Easy. Steal a fold-able chair, find a drink, set up on the beach and relax. Why worry? There wasn’t anyone he needed to reunite with, there weren’t any people he needed to worry about here. He’d just let his little landshark chase around some crabs and enjoy himself.
It doesn’t take long, he’s already heading back to the beach, keep all that icky family stuff away from him. He never needed it anyways.

Welp anything before this point was citta, ages past
Not much to look at.
In the mail arrives a parcel addressed to Yeager. It’s unassuming, wrapped in ordinary brown packing paper. Inside is a card, and something wrapped in silver tissue paper beneath.
Yeager,
Thanks for not dying any of the times we ran into each other here. People ought to die less in this place.

Tucked in the tissue paper is a simple black scarf. It’s not too impressive in looks, but the material is both hardy and soft. Seems like it’ll last a while with much practical use.

you look down at the blue creature that spawns before you. at first its back is turned towards your vessel; you have to crane your true form around to get a view of its front. then the creature settles down onto the ground with an utterance of ‘gib’, and you see that its gaping mouth is filled with sharp teeth.
so consumed are you in studying the anatomy of the beast that you hardly notice yeager resuming his speech. he asks you about any ideas.
“…” you pause and inhale, your eyes squinting. “…i once saw an animated movie with a shark character in it. his name was… bruce, i think. your creature reminds me a bit of him. why not name it after him?”
“Bruce?” Honestly it wasn’t as if it was a bad name or a bad suggestion but it felt… Mature. Something his little demon certainly wasn’t. “Perhaps, it seems a little too uptight for him.”
Yeager let out a small sigh, he certainly hadn’t been expecting his biggest issue this month to be coming up with a name for a honeycomb and a landshark.
He takes a few more moments to stare into the landsharks eyes, eventually kneeling down in front of it. It reminded him of something- a word. A name. It was there. He chuckled to himself, it wasn’t exactly clever but it would do.
“I think, Castiel, I am going to name him Levi.” Honestly it was pretty silly that he hadn’t at least considered that name first. Looking back on the last ten years of his life it was pretty obvious. The monster seemed fairly indifferent to the suggestion, which was good enough for him.
He turned around to face the honeycomb now, still smiling, odd thing. Smiling, at least it had that kindness going for it. Maybe he wasn’t too far off with what he had said before, just in the wrong direction. “Joy, I think is what I would call it. But in the end it is up to you.”

“You’re awfully intuitive for a stranger.”
If anything, he’s funny. You can justify spending your time with him for entertainment reasons. “Well, some days, I wonder if I qualify as ‘living’, too.” Chuckling, you lean an elbow on the park table. “But no, I’m not a virus or a parasite. I did have a body of my own before this, believe it or not.
“Secondly, I could use his powers if I wanted to.” You tilt your head a bit. “But they aren’t mine. And I can fend for myself without them. There’s no need.” That’s as much as he needs to know. “And as for how we ended up like this… I don’t really know. I woke up here with him one day. I have guesses, but nothing concrete. The only concrete thing,” you glance up at him, “is that this ability isn’t unique to me. My species can coinhabit the bodies of others. But usually, it’s not binding… so our case is odd.”
You smile wryly. “I’m sure you have fifty more questions, now.”
“I’m also mysterious and handsome, something we have in common.” Yeager leaned forward, bringing his hands together in front of him. They were getting somewhere now.
So he was indeed another being before he was with Atlus. Perhaps he held some similarities to your friend Castiel. To Yeager’s understanding he had a very different ‘original’ form. So Flauros had never intended to actually join with Atlus it seemed like. How amusing. Although, he didn’t really buy the whole ‘just waking up’ thing, there was definitely more to it than that.
“Your species does this kind of thing often? Just. . . Not to this extent? I suppose it might be a tad intrusive for me to ask what happened to your original body?”
It definitely was, but so were a lot of other things he wanted to say. Nothing had ever stopped him before. He wasn’t sure if he had 50 questions to ask, but it was true he had many more. It was probably only a matter of time before Flauros got agitated by him, but at the moment he didn’t mind.

He would not have said that if he knew anything about her. Hell was the place she deserved to be, after all. Her duties as Hell Girl was a punishment that, to her, yes, but she was lucky enough that it was bearable due to her companions and Kikuri. “I went to Hell, because I broke a rule, and got out because I broke another. That is all there is to it.”
To be neutral…well, that was just another part of her job. How could she efficiently send people to Hell if she were biased, or had her own sense of justice? She only did as she was told, and nothing else. She had already paid the price for failing her duties.
She nodded shortly. “I live in the apartments, yes. But it is unnecessary for you to take me there. I know the way from the train station.” But, she couldn’t help a feel a bit enticed by the prospect of food. “Shall we go eat?”
“Hmm. . . How very straightforward and simple, things are usually a little more complex than that.” Yeager shrugged his shoulder slightly, flashing a bright smile. “Not that I’m complaining somethings definitely need to be more simple.”
She seemed fairly indifferent to her surroundings, he wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or not. He lit up at the mention of going out to eat. “Oh, yes absolutely. Do you have a specific style you like? There are so many different types of food and cuisine in this city.” Yeager actually quite enjoyed all forms of food. One develops an appreciation for it when they grow up lacking it after all.
“Just name anything and I can find a place that makes it.”

“Hah.” You laugh a little.
“That may be.”
It’s not easy to explain your history, seeing as you barely understand its progression yourself. He’s also not from where you are. The concept of Possession itself may elude him. Or not; you’ll wait for him to ask.
“I hope you’re being facetious. But then, you’re right,” you look out at the ice, “I guess we don’t need to worry about it.” There is an implicit “don’t try me” in your tone. If he’s smart as you suspect, he’ll catch it.
“Curious about me.” You repeat the phrase back to him, turning your head. “What is it that you want to know, exactly?”
“Lots of things, lots of things. For example you’re two people in one, quite literally.” Normally this would just mean he has a personality disorder or some kind. At least back on Terca Lumireis. “I don’t know if this is offensive, but do you qualify as ‘living’.”
“And then, I have to wonder how you ended up like this.” Yeager sighs, If he had his way he’d be questioning everyone about the entirety of their home-world. “I suppose you could say I just like knowing peoples stories. My own is rather uneventful.”
Yeager gives it some more thought. “Also, you appear to be unable to use his powers and he appears unable to utilize your skills. It’s a rather odd relationship you two share. I have to assume it’s because despite sharing the body you aren’t the ‘same’.” He of course, simply meant race, but then again he had no idea how this stuff worked and that was just speculation. “Perhaps you were an alien of some kind?

your brows furrow together at the names tiger, demon, and death. you look up at yeager and cock your head to the side, wondering if he is being facetious, as humans are wont to do. but his eyes are locked on the honeycomb creature with a face of vague uncertainty - though you won’t make assumptions, because even after all this time you still haven’t mastered the art of interpreting the intricacies of the human expression.
“well, perhaps we should think of a name for yours, first. that might give me some ideas. i’d hate to bestow this creature with an unfitting name.”
“Mine?” Yeager can’t help but to laugh a little nervously, pulling out his own pokeball. The only thing standing between him and the physical manifestation of disaster inside. “We could, yes. Perhaps.” Names were running through his mind. Beatrice, Graum, Vincent, anything to avoid sending his own monster out. But none were coming to mind.
“I, I guess I’ll show him to you. . .” Yeager pressed the small button on his pokeball, tossing it slightly into the air. At the height of its toss it opens up and a white light flashes out, forming his Gible. He catches the ball effortlessly as it falls back down.
“He’s a land-shark, more or less . . .” His eyes meet Gible’s. There’s no movement from either of them- eyes locked. Would it make the first move this time? Yeager tenses as the tiny land-shark takes a deep breath- was it preparing a fire attack again? His hand curls around the pokeball, ready to recall it at a moments notice. Only, when it opened its mouth there was nothing just a sigh and a quick “Gib”. It then proceeded to sit down, seemingly uncaring and bored with its current situation.
Yeager suddenly loosened up, realizing how that may have looked to castiel. “A-anyways this is my little. . . Monster, ja.” He himself took a deep breath and sigh now. “He’s. . Mischievous. . . .” He had no idea what he would actually like to call the land-shark. Finding its name would certainly be easier than going through the entire internet with Castiel. “Any ideas, off the top of your head?”
(ooohhh haha,, yes finally he has a real weapon to work with again......)

Ai blinked, recalling the she sent a boy back to Hell after he escaped from it. It also reminded her of something else, something unpleasant. “I have been to Hell, many times. It is part of my duties. However, I was once banished to it when I died for the second time,” she recalled, no trace of bitterness or sadness in her eyes. That was just the way it was, and nothing more.
She cocked her head, raising her shoulders in a small shrug. “Anything is fine. I am new here, yes. I reside in the Epsilon district. Whether you take me back, or provide me with food, or leave now, I have no preference. But if you are hungry, I will accompany you to a restaurant or food stand.”
She had been to hell a few times? Well. . . Each universe had its own rules, that didn’t change the fact that it was upsetting to hear. Hell was rarely a ‘good’ thing. “That’s mighty impressive for someone so young. I’m happy you’ve made it out safe of such a dangerous area.” No kid needed to see things like that. It being her job or otherwise seemed irrelevant, at the moment.
“You are very. . .” Yeager searched around for the right word, for a moment. “Neutral.” He couldn’t help but laugh a little. “Quite the opposite from the kids I knew.”
“Hmm Epsilon, I’m somewhat familiar with the area. I think it shouldn’t be a problem to get you something to eat on the way there.” He gave it thought, she said she lived in a district- not the sectors. Did she not have a house? He had not met many people from the districts- usually he just ended up exploring them. “You do, have a shelter of some kind, ja?”

“Unfortunately”. What a choice of words. You snort a little.
“Not really. But I spend most of my time lately getting… used to things.” Observing, watching, feeling the way Atlus walks, the structure of his bones. Being out of your own body for so long is strange physically as it is psychologically, you’ve found. “I don’t have much need to do things on my own. And, it’s his,” you glance away, “after all. Not mine.”
You laugh a little at the invitation. “I’ve never tried skating, truth be told.” Not that you don’t have proper training and balance under your belt. But…
“It probably wouldn’t be fun for you, having to watch me fumble.” Sure. “Unless you’re more of a sadist than I realize.”
“Not needing too and wanting too are very different things, ja?” Yeager smirks ever so slightly. He had wondered more than once why he wouldn’t attempt to get his own body back, or a more suitable one at least. Perhaps he had just grown attached to his host.
“Oh, sadism is something I specialize in, but I don’t think we have to worry about that just yet.” He glances back towards the ice rink, maybe another day perhaps.
Turning back to Flauros he gives him his full attention. “I suppose that’s fine though, I am rather curious about you, you know?” Yeager leaned forward, resting his elbow on the table, hand on his chin. “I mean, I would’ve talked to you more before but our situation was. . . Significantly more troublesome last time we met.”
