Conflict Kitchen. Oakland. Pittsburgh. Go here. I took my best friend who lives in Indiana. She was floored and in love with the place. "Where are others, is this a chain?" Nope, conveniently located across the street from the Cathedral of Learning. Iranian food. Fried potato cakes (name?) with parsley, cooked veggies, rice, and a delicious sour-yogurt as dressing. The yogurt that Middle Eastern foods use is the best, just my favorite.

A park. Downtown. Pittsburgh. This was over a year ago, but the charm of this park still remains. Right across the street from the iconic Omni William Penn Hotel and beside the BNY Building, this park is a quaint oasis to sit and have lunch or pass by with friends.
Harris Grill, Shady Side, Pittsburgh. Their food is great and their menu explanations are hilarious. The pirogies weren't the best I've ever had, but that's a difficult food to best others in the Pittsburgh area.

Johnstown. PA. USA. Our Inclined Plane. Once a group of Japanese filmmakers came here to visit and take shots of our incline for their TV series. Was pretty exciting for our small city.
Johnstown. PA. USA. I'm officially home from my month in Europe. I took today to catch up with my mum and dad about the trip. My dad and I then went to the James Wolfe Sculpture Trail to see the mine that my great grandfather perished in due to a mining accident. Seeing the sight of the mine entrance and hearing the stories of my dad brought to the forefront of my mind my heritage - who my family was and the strong work ethic of the area I grew up in. It's invaluable to know about the past of my family and to visit actual places. After touring France and Germany and seeing famous sights as the Eiffel Tower, the Nazi Rally grounds, and Versailles, a visit like this is just as important to me.
Peterborough. NH. From when I visited my uncle. Not too many scenes of this beautiful town, but I remember it well. And I know I loved it and want to return.. Or live in a similar atmosphere.
Carnegie Music Hall. Homestead. Pittsburgh. Near the waterfront. A bit outside the city. My mum and I went to see Nightwish. Foolishly we didn't look at the program to see they had two openers - Delain and Sonata Artica. It dragged a bit with the in-between stage changes, but the three bands all had great energy.
