Benoni Country Club
Ryn Country Club, the Benoni Country Club course started its existence as a 9 hole course but soon changed to the 18 hole course we know today. Today this 18 hole course stretches over 6562m and is a Par 73. One of the interesting points of the club is that they introduced wildlife to the course and Springbok and Blesbok are often seen wandering around, grazing. One of the leading country clubs on the East Rand, Benoni Country Club offers not only golf, but also tennis, squash and bowls. Located in a quiet, leafy suburb of Benoni, the course is set on large, scenic grounds in which springbok, blesbok, duiker and steenbok can be seen grazing. The Benoni Country Club is one of the busiest sporting venues in east Gauteng and is almost always fully booked with numerous events on the weekends. The club is also a popular function venue with the splendid grounds and function rooms an ideal place for weddings, parties, conferences and sporting events. The course, paired high-end with facilities has ranked inside the Top 100 golf courses in South Africa for a number of years and dishes out a healthy challenge to pro and amateur golfers alike. The course meanders gracefully over its 6,580m and all 18 holes of this par 73 have something to offer, including bunkers on every hole. The Five par-five’s and are especially fun but none can really compare to the 18th where a dam and forest line the length of it before finishing neatly just on front of the clubhouse where you can settle into the magnificent 19th and enjoy a round or two after the game.
