Learning about Human Things in the Marketplace

- Fifth (5th) Day of Thomsleep Week (Courtesy of ThomasxSides Weeks 2022)

Summary: Remy decides to take Thomas on a tour of his kingdom which Thomas accepts after all it gives him the opportunity to learn human things

Thomas had 3 days to get a kiss of true love according to the sea witch (or sea snake since it was more accurate according to Virgil).

The first day was well, the day he traded in his voice for human legs. His fellow sea critter friends, Virgil and Roman, helped him get up to the surface the moment they saw Thomas struggling to breathe underwater. Then he got used to walking around while putting on some "clothes" courtesy of his expert on all things human, Remus the seagull. And finally, he met him, the Prince he rescued when his ship crashed and according to the people on the ship, his name was Remy. Remy was looking for the man who saved him by his looks and voice alone and he thought Thomas was the one until he realized Thomas had no voice and therefore could not prove it was him much to Thomas' dismay. 

Nonetheless, Remy helped him to his castle to clean him up. Thomas was given a bath with bubbles (like the ocean has!), a nice pink suit, dinner (where they looked at him weirdly for using a dinglehopper accordingly), and a room that had the softest bed (Thomas was sure it was called that). Thomas was excited to go to sleep that first night as Remy had offered to take him on a tour of his kingdom. And now, today was not only the second day but also the day of the tour, he was excited to see everything the human world had to offer. Though Roman reminded him about the Sea Snake's deal and while it did add a bit of pressure on him, he was determined to enjoy this day.

Thomas waved goodbye to Remy's workers while said man focused on driving the horse carriage. Thomas was excited and took in all the sights the moment the doors to the castle opened. He pointed out the view of the town before them and Remy looked in his direction then looked back at Thomas only to see that he somehow climbed the back of the carriage to look at the bottom of it. Thomas was so curious at how these creatures called "horses" moved and the sound of their…hooves (is that what they're called?) were so mesmerizing to hear. "Uh, maybe don't do that, hun," Remy warned as he nudged Thomas back in his seat. Remy didn't want to admit it but Thomas' curiosity was cute though a little strange since Thomas is acting like this is his first time in the human world.

"Has he kissed him yet?" Virgil asked as he swam up to the surface near the carriage.

"Not yet!" Roman replied from the carriage.

They finally arrived at the main marketplace in Remy's kingdom and Thomas' brain was going into overdrive at the many things going around him. Remy helped him out of the carriage and Thomas didn't even know where he wanted to go first. Thomas witnessed a man passing by them with this huge wooden carriage filled with birds that had white feathers similar to Remus'. Remy took note of Thomas' expression and really couldn't help but smile. God, he was never this mushy. Thomas suddenly left his side when he noticed a puppet show and Remy followed after him.

Thomas wondered how these things were moving but they were entertaining, so he decided to grab it to see if it was a tiny human. Thomas was confused when a hand was there, can hands move on their own? Remy immediately took the hand puppet out of Thomas' hand and put it in the person's hand while apologizing. "Um, maybe stay by my side, okay?" Remy said, taking the boy's hand into his own. Seriously, Remy has never been this mushy but god, this boy was cute.

Hmm, now that he thinks about it, Remy never asked for the boy's name…maybe he'll ask later. That is if he can find a way to communicate with this seemingly mute boy.

Suddenly, he felt his hand being tugged and he saw the boy smiling at him while pointing at an area. Remy looked in his direction and noticed a band playing while people danced. "Do you, uh, wanna dance?" Remy asked and Thomas immediately nodded as he dragged Remy to the area. Remy and Thomas dodged the other people dancing and managed to get in the middle of the area. Remy seemingly took the lead and Thomas followed his steps with his confidence.

Thomas was so happy. He finally learned how and what it felt like to dance! It was especially fun when Remy picked him up and twirled him around for a bit. After their little bonding time, Remy took him back to the marketplace to see if Thomas wanted anything. "You can have whatever you want after all you are a guest…" Remy said and Thomas was shocked to hear that but accepted the offer nonetheless. Thomas smelled something lovely and so he followed the scent once again causing Remy to follow him after he left his side. 

Remy and Thomas met up with a baker selling loaves of bread and Remy noticed that Thomas was looking at the different loaves with hunger. "Hm, you want one? They are really good when they're out of the oven." Remy asked, already looking for the perfect loaf to buy. The moment Thomas nodded his head, Remy picked the loaf he was eyeing and paid the baker accordingly. Thomas noticed the currency Remy used which was coins, guess humans don't buy things with sand dollars. "Control your hunger, we have jam at the castle and other things as well," Remy warned as he handed Thomas the loaf.

Thomas nodded then noticed a shoemaker selling pairs of boots causing him to point at it. "Oh, you have good taste, hun!" Remy exclaimed, grabbing Thomas' hand and walking over to the stand. Thomas eyed the pairs of boots, they all looked nice but why did some look bigger than the others? "Do you…not know your shoe size?" Remy asked to which Thomas looked at him funny. Thomas knew there were sizes for shirts but not for shoes, how weird. "Well, you are kinda small compared to me but, hm…" Remy mumbled while looking at the pairs of boots.

Remy could pick a pair of boots that were in the small size range but what if it was too tight for the boy? Remy decided to go with a pair of boots in the medium size range and hoped for the best as he paid for them. Thomas opened his arms to carry the boots but Remy shook his head. "Don't want the smell of leather to mix in with the bread…" Remy stated and Thomas simply smiled at his kindness. Thomas and Remy walked for a while more as Remy tried to think of other places to take the boy. "Oh! Do you mind if we go in the carriage again? I wanna show you something really cool, trust me, hun!" Remy exclaimed, causing Thomas to flinch.

Thomas thought about it and nodded, Remy was showing him so many human things. He wasn't gonna lie, Thomas fell deeper and deeper in love with the Prince while on this tour. They made their way back to the carriage and as Remy helped Thomas get in, he told him to stay there while he went to get one last thing. Thomas again nodded but was curious as to what Remy was getting, he didn't have to stay curious for long since Remy came running back with the most beautiful human thing he's ever seen. "You like?" Remy asked, handing the bouquet of roses to the boy.

Thomas nodded his head as he admired the bouquet while Remy made the horses move for the carriage to start up again. Sure, he's seen flowers underwater but to see them in the human world where they are grown was something else. Thomas wondered if this is how humans confess or propose since Thomas is just awaiting a kiss…

Right, the kiss of true love he has to get. Hopefully, he can get it at this place Remy was taking him so he can stay with him.

"Yo, Virge, any kissing?" Remus asked as he landed on the bridge where Thomas and Remy's carriage passed by him.

"No, not yet," Virgil replied, starting to worry more and more about the Sea Snake's deal.

"Well, they better get crackin'!" Remus exclaimed.

As Thomas and Remy left the town, Remy eyed the boy before him and looked back at the leashes in his hands. "Wanna give it a go?" Remy asked, moving his hands towards Thomas. Thomas gasped then he pushed the things Remy bought for him in his arms before grabbing the leashes. Remy suddenly regretted his decision as Thomas moved the leashes too harshly causing the horses to speed up. "Um! Hun, I forgot to mention but there is a dead-end!" Remy exclaimed, noticing the dead-end. It seemed Thomas ignored him as he moved the leashes harshly again causing the horses to jump to which Remy grabbed onto the things he bought as he fell on the platform of the carriage.

Remy felt the carriage moving normally again and got up from his spot, he noticed they made it over the dead-end and laughed nervously. "Damn, you're good!" Remy exclaimed, noticeably starting to get more relaxed. Thomas took Remy being impressed as a good sign, maybe he will get his kiss of true love! He squealed at the possibility of their marriage as Remy showed him which direction he needed to take to get to the place that he wanted to show him.

"Remy, you never cease to amaze me," Thomas said sarcastically as he poured a glass of water for his…Sleep…Roommate?

Thomas doesn't know how to describe his relationship with Remy but what he can describe is how borderline drunk the man was. "I'ma…take that as a compliment!" Remy mumbled out. Thomas sighed but made his way over to Remy, putting his glass of water on the coffee table while checking to see if he was comfortable on the couch. "Ugh, Rem, what did you guys even do? The most you and your friends have done is go to a concert and not return until 2 PM!" Thomas questioned, surprised. "Haha…don't forget about that time I got lost…" Remy replied, laughing a bit. "You're not helping your case, you know…" Thomas said even more surprised just from remembering that moment.

"Seriously, did you all go to a bar? How many drinks did you have?" Thomas questioned, already mentally making a list of what to bring in the morning for Remy's hangover. "Yeah, we went to…to this new bar in town! You should have been there! Probably had like…ten…ty…drinks." Remy recalled, smiling through his speech. "Twenty!?" Thomas exclaimed, concerned for the man before him. "No…ten…ty like 1…and 0." Remy clarified, looking at Thomas like he was a fool when it really should have been the other way around. "That's a relief…" Thomas sighed, making Remy take a note of his appearance.

"You know, you're like really cute when you're all…caring. Like really really cute. Like to the point where I wanna steal a kiss from you…" Remy said, getting near to Thomas. "Excuse me?" Thomas questioned, not believing what he was hearing right now. There was no way that Remy would be attracted to him; after all, Remy is outgoing and energetic for the most part while Thomas was not. Remy would like someone like him and not someone like Thomas who would prevent him from living his life. "In fact…come 'ere…I wanna give you one as thanks for taking care of me when my douchebag friends make a mess of me…" Remy said, getting closer to Thomas' face.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! You're drunk, remember, Rem…" Thomas exclaims, blocking his face with his hands. Remy blinks once then looks at Thomas as if he said something incomprehensible…which wouldn't be too far off since he is drunk. "Even if I wasn't drunk, I still wanna kiss you, have you as my boy…friend…, marry you…, and…" Remy mumbled in softer tones as his eyes slowly started to close. Thomas helped Remy fall back onto the couch and moved his body slightly to make him feel comfortable while he slept. "...have a kid…" Remy whispered before finally falling asleep.

Thomas was still flustered after the interaction and yet he wondered if Remy was serious about everything he said. "Haha…yeah, right, Remy would never wanna get tied down to someone like me…" Thomas whispered to not wake up Remy. He looked at his sleeping…roommate (he still didn't know) and smiled at how soft he looked while he slept. Thomas yawned as sleep was starting to come to him as well and yet he still decided to hold Remy's hand. "If you're being honest, I wouldn't mind…being your boyfriend…" Thomas mumbled out before falling asleep.

…it would take Remy several months after this interaction to ask Thomas out.

Pillow Talk

- Second (2nd) Day of Thomsleep Week (Courtesy of ThomasxSides Weeks 2022)

Summary: Remy comes home early so he and Thomas go to bed early. One problem: they can't sleep just yet.

Tonight was one of those nights where Remy arrived home earlier than usual. Specifically returning home at 11 PM instead of the usual 1 or 2 AM.

Yeah, he didn't know why either considering how much fun he has when he is with his friends but tonight, things felt a little boring. And so after saying goodbye to his friends (while also telling them to plan better), he made his way home and was greeted by his surprised boyfriend. Thomas, of course, was a little confused about how early Remy came home even questioning if his clocks were correct. Nonetheless, he welcomed his boyfriend with a mountain of hugs and kisses which Remy adored no matter how many times he says that's enough. They both didn't feel like watching TV or doing much of anything else so they headed to their bedroom after a cup of sleepy time tea.

The bedroom smelled of lavender and the white noise machine was turned on to the sound of rain. Thomas puts on his sleepwear while Remy somehow sleeps in whatever he wore for the day even if it includes his leather jacket. They get comfortable in bed but can't sleep so they twist and turn until eventually, they're facing each other. "Hey." Thomas mumbles. "Lemme guess…can't sleep?" Remy teases as Thomas nods while rolling his eyes. "Damn and here I was giving you the pleasure of me coming home early," Remy replied with a smirk on his face. "Shut up, I promise I'm trying my best to fall asleep," Thomas replied with a chuckle.

The two don't say anything for a while as they manage to hold hands and stare at each in the process of doing so. "So how was your day, babe?" Remy asks, breaking the silence. "It was fine, nothing exciting…but I mean, you would know since you were there," Thomas replied sarcastically. "Yeah, yeah, I get it, I rubbed off you a bit." Remy rolls his eyes too. "Sorry, I can't help myself. But I am wondering why you came home so early. Trust me, I appreciate it but it was so out of the blue, you know?" Thomas questioned. The taller of the two sighed while thinking of an answer.

Remy can't pinpoint a response. He has fun when he is out with his friends to the point where he comes back super late to the annoyance of Thomas. But tonight…he just doesn't know. He just can't think of a reason. He just wanted to come home early.

"Sorry, babe, don't think I can answer that question easily," Remy answers honestly, a little frustrated with himself. "It's alright. I wish I prepared something to do with you tonight but then again, I wasn't expecting your sudden arrival so…" Thomas finishes with a chuckle as he tightens his grip on Remy's hand. "Yeah…but to be honest, I wasn't feeling like doing anything with you tonight," Remy responds and suddenly regrets after seeing the look on Thomas' face. "Even in bed?" Thomas jokes with a smirk and a blush on his face. "Oh haha…" Remy mumbles out.

Thomas chuckles before silence overtakes the two again. Remy pulls Thomas closer to his chest and the two begin to cuddle. Thomas sighs as he hears Remy's heartbeat, it was his favorite noise in the world to hear and a noise he always got sleepy to. "Um…" Remy said so softly that he thought Thomas wouldn't hear it. But his boyfriend did as he cut off his yawn short to listen to what he had to say. "Uh…maybe I came back home because I wanted to see you badly. After all, it's what I look forward to whenever I'm with my friends…" Remy admitted, a blush unusually appearing on his face. Thomas stared at him for a bit with widened eyes causing his boyfriend to feel embarrassed.

"Ugh, forget I said anything…" Remy added. Thomas decided to be nice and simply smiled while snuggling more into his boyfriend's chest. "Good night, Remy. Love you." He mumbled as he closed his eyes. Remy was still embarrassed but sighed as he put his sunglasses on the bedside table. "Love you too…" He whispered before drifting off to sleep as well.

The Perk to Dating a Web-Slinger

Dating a superhero is rarely easy.

There was a risk of being put under the spotlight by the media if it was known you were dating one which could lead to you being kidnapped by an enemy who now knows that you mean something to the superhero. There was a risk that your lover would get killed during a battle with the enemy and you would never get to see your beloved again. These risks are known to everyone.

And yet, Thomas is willing to risk it all.

Thomas "Mary Jane" Watson is an aspiring actor on Broadway and things in his life have been…interesting and eventful for him, to say the least. Since graduating High School, Thomas has been working his way up to Broadway to become an actor and that itself had its own struggles, however, his most cherished moment since High School was finding the love of his life. If you had told him that he would meet his future lover by kissing them under the rain, he would refuse to believe you due to how cliche it is, but, he would secretly swoon at the thought. And now, here he is, dating New York's very own superhero…Spider-Man. But he better and lovingly knew him as Logan Parker.

Their relationship had its ups and downs such as when Logan, at first, refused to accept his feelings to keep him safe from enemies or when Thomas almost unhappily married an astronaut. But in the end, they managed to work it out and Thomas has not only grown as a person but has grown in terms of helping his boyfriend out with the whole Spider-Man business. Logan, again, wanted to keep Thomas out of danger, but Thomas asserted that no one, not even Logan, will make that decision for him. Logan still trained him in self-defense, just in case something were to happen to him.

And now, here they are…

Logan and Thomas don't have much time to go out in the day due to Logan being Spider-Man and Thomas having long rehearsals. But they still manage to find time to be by themselves or with each other and recently they discovered that that time is mostly nighttime. This discovery gave Logan many ideas about how they can spend some time together and how he can show his appreciation for Thomas' help when he needs it. Sure, Logan adores their movie nights and the nights where they read a book together and have toast with Crofters but, he wanted to make this date night a special one. And with that in mind, Logan started to plan their upcoming date night by trying to find a secluded area that was near them and gave them an open view of the sky.

Thomas removed his helmet and put it on his boyfriend's scooter. "Apologies but I need you to have your eyes closed for me," Logan stated as he took Thomas' hands in his own. "Hm, why's that?" Thomas playfully asked, squeezing his boyfriend's hands. "Did I not mention that tonight would be a surprise gift from me?" Logan replied, slowly walking them both towards a wooded area. "I assure you that no harm will come to you while your eyes are closed. Trust me." Logan added and Thomas sighed and closed his eyes.

With each twig that snapped underneath the weight of their shoes, Thomas grew more excited yet also anxious. He had known that this upcoming date night would be for Logan to plan, however, he didn't know that Logan would be so secretive about it. Usually, Logan would inform him about what they would do a day or two in advance. Thomas had started to think of worst-case scenarios such as Logan breaking up with him on their date night due to him finally finding Thomas annoying or finding someone better. Or maybe this Logan is a fake and is leading him to an enemy trap and his actual boyfriend has been dead all this time by the last enemy he faced.

"You may open your eyes now, starlight," Logan said, startling Thomas a bit after forgetting where he was for a moment. When Thomas did open his eyes, he gasped softly at the sight before him and all his anxious thoughts went away. Before him, there was a huge spider web and the night sky was alight with stars and their constellations. "Logan, you did all this?" Thomas asked, almost jumping at the sight. "Well, I noticed that we mostly spend our time together during the night. I always wanted to take you out for a bit of stargazing so I thought that perhaps this would be a good time to take you out. What do you think, dear?" Logan explained. 

"I love it! You're so cool especially when you're using your powers for stuff like this!" Thomas exclaimed, wrapping his boyfriend in a huge and tight hug. "Ah…thank you, Thomas…" Logan mumbled, still getting flustered at Thomas calling him "cool" even after a year of dating. Logan climbed up a nearby tree to get to his spider web, then he created a rope out of his web ability to pull Thomas up on his web. The two situated themselves in the middle and stared at the stars in front of them. For a while, Logan and Thomas laid there on the web in silence, simply taking in the view of the night sky and the presence of each other.

Suddenly a few shooting stars passed by quickly in the night sky causing the couple to gasp in awe at them before chuckling and smiling a bit at their synchronized reactions. "Oh, another is coming by, do you see it?" Logan asked, continuously staring at the shooting star's tail of light. Thomas closed his eyes in response, following the old saying that wishing on a shooting star will cause the wish to come true. "You wanna know something, Lo?" Thomas asked after opening his eyes and finishing saying his wish. "Hm?" Logan hummed to let Thomas know that he was listening even if he wasn't staring at him directly. "I would love to sing on stage for the rest of my life with you in the front row watching me," Thomas answered, turning his head to face his boyfriend.

Logan turned his head in response with a small yet soft smile on his face, "I will always be there." Thomas smiled at the response, his heart swelling with love for this man. How can someone make him so mushy and weak in his knees? Thomas decided it was fitting to tease Logan for a bit after making him feel so many deep emotions for him even if he didn't mind experiencing them. "Can I hear you say "I love you" to me?" Thomas requested, his smile growing even bigger. Logan sighed but moved his body so that he was resting on his elbow to allow him to face his boyfriend.

"I appreciate…no, adore your existence, starlight," Logan replied, catching onto his boyfriend's teasing. "Hey, that doesn't count!" Thomas whined, though it was slightly ruined by his small giggles and the fact that his face turned slightly red at that. "I know, dear, apologies," Logan said, allowing a small chuckle to come out of him. God, did Thomas ever mention how much he loves seeing Logan smile and laugh? "I love you, Thomas. I always have and always will. More than words can describe, in fact." Logan said with so much love in his eyes, it was almost too much.

The two stared into each other's eyes for a bit with a smile until Thomas pushed himself up to give his boyfriend a kiss which Logan returned. The kiss went on for a while before it ended with Logan resting his forehead on Thomas'. "Mind telling me about the stars in the sky, tiger?" Thomas asked. "I don't see why not, MJ," Logan replied, cheekily using his special nickname for Thomas in response to his special nickname being used. The two laughed again and laid back down onto the spider web.

Logan began talking about all the stars present in the sky alongside any constellations he noticed and Thomas listened to his explanations until the very end of the date.

Reading Voice

Summary: Thomas and Logan like each other's voices for different reasons.

If there is one thing that Logan and Thomas have in common, it's that they love each other's voices.

Sure, Logan and Thomas have the same voice because Logan is a mere facet of his boyfriend's personality but that didn't stop him or the others from having a distinct appearance compared to Thomas.

That being said, they somehow have been enamored by each other's voices. With Logan, while he won't admit it outright, he is completely enamored by Thomas' singing voice. There is something about Thomas' singing voice that is so hypnotic. Perhaps it is the soft and gentle tone whenever Thomas sings a song from a Disney movie or the loud and bold tone whenever Thomas recites or simply sings a song from a musical. He isn't sure which tone of voice he likes better but, either way, he won't complain about which tone Thomas chooses to use that day.

A normal day for Logan, at this point, is him reading a book and suddenly hearing his boyfriend sing whatever song is on his mind. If it was Roman, Logan probably would tell him to quiet down as he was trying to read with throwing a couch cushion to his face being a final resort. But emotions are weird and Logan just smiles a small but noticeable smile as Thomas continues to sing while doing whatever he needs to do. He's not sure what he would do without Thomas' pleasant singing voice making his day just a bit better.

Even if Logan doesn't know why it works that way.

On the other side, Thomas recently started to fall for Logan's voice as well. Specifically, his reading voice. It was precise and sharp like Logan and oh, Thomas just couldn't get over the fact that it just fit his boyfriend so damn well. Call him a hopeless romantic but if he wasn't dating Logan, he's pretty sure this would be the thing to have him head over heels for him.

Then again, he still is head over heels for Logan despite being in a relationship for well over 5 months.

And yet despite Logan's reading voice being precise and sharp, it was also soft and gentle when need be. Such as when Logan stated facts and figures to calm Thomas during a moral dilemma or when he read quietly to Thomas who was in a half-asleep state.

Just like right now…

Logan hadn't even noticed Thomas falling asleep on him while they read. Logan only noticed when he turned his head towards Thomas, who decided to lay his head on his boyfriend's shoulder while they read, to ask him if they would like to end today's reading session here. Logan, again, didn't understand how a person like Thomas could cause so many…feelings within him. The logical Side smiled as he continued to stare at his beloved, satisfied to see Thomas finally asleep after being unable to do so for the past few days. Logan was hesitant to move the sleeping man, in fear that he'll wake him up, so he decided to let Thomas sleep like this while he summoned a book that he personally wanted to finish. They can finish the book they wanted to read another time.

Yes, Thomas loves Logan's reading voice as much as Logan loves Thomas' singing voice.

Hoodie

Summary: Virgil's hoodie keeps getting stolen on laundry day, however, it isn't until now that he starts to actively catch the perpetrator

Virgil has noticed a trend going on when it comes to laundry day.

Whenever Patton was done with the laundry and handed back each of the Sides' clothes, Virgil would notice that his signature purple hoodie was missing then before another laundry day arrived, it would suddenly show up. During the days that it went missing, Virgil was forced to wear his old hoodie while questioning the other Light Sides about his hoodie's whereabouts and interrogating the other Dark Sides about it. It wasn't until the 5th time this has happened that he remembered about Thomas and the fact that he never questioned his boyfriend. Then again, Roman wasn't even able to conjure up a Christmas sweater for Thomas...but he was able to hand him a binder with blank sheets of paper in there. Even then, Thomas would tell him about taking his hoodie, right?

Virgil made up his mind then and there since he was growing sick of trying to find his hoodie every time laundry day came around and he was starting to miss it. He planned to sneak around the laundry room to see who entered first before Patton did to grab his hoodie. And so as laundry day came close by, Virgil's hoodie appeared once again and he gave it to Patton alongside his other dirty clothes to clean. As Patton put in the clothes to rinse in the washing machine, Virgil sneaked in and hid underneath one of the big laundry baskets. He waited patiently for the drying process of the clothes to end and stayed quiet to catch the footsteps of his hoodie's captor.

And just as he thought, he heard someone's footsteps and the sound of the washing machine's door opening. Virgil immediately took off the large laundry basket on him only to see Thomas, with his eyes widened, holding his hoodie. "Thomas...you're the one stealing my hoodie every laundry day?" Virgil asked, confused. "Honey, ah, this...um…" Thomas mumbled as he put Virgil's hoodie back into the washing machine. "I think I'm entitled to an explanation, Thomas," Virgil replied, folding his arms together. 

"Don't worry, I'm not mad, I'm just curious, sunshine," Virgil added, noticing Thomas' nervous fidgeting. "I just...like how it smells like you...and it is super soft! I'm sorry, honey, I just couldn't resist it." Thomas explained, looking at anything that wasn't Virgil. There was silence between the two after Thomas finished his explanation. "Was that creepy? I'm sorry, Virgil! I'll stop and we can forget this ever happened!" Thomas exclaimed in a panicked tone as he started to leave the laundry room. "Wait, no, I'm sorry for making you panic!" Virgil responded as he grabbed Thomas' wrist to stop him from leaving.

"I'm sorry for making you feel sorry!" Thomas stated causing the two to have a smile on their faces. Those smiles soon turned into laughter as Virgil pulled Thomas into a tight hug. "Thomas, you really should have just asked me for my hoodie. I wouldn't mind letting you borrow it." Virgil reassured his boyfriend, putting a strand of Thomas' hair behind his ear. "I was embarrassed," Thomas admitted with a small chuckle. "But okay, thank you, I'll let you know next time. Sorry for making you worry about your hoodie." Thomas apologized again.

"It's fine, I can never be mad at you. If it was Janus or Remus, I probably would have decked them." Virgil replied, causing Thomas to laugh again. "I really do bring out the worst in you sometimes, don't I?" Thomas teased with a small smirk on his face. "Maybe you do...and hey, what's up with that smirk?" Virgil asked, noticing his boyfriend's expression. "Oh, nothing, I just noticed how muscular your arms are…" Thomas answered, making a blush appear on Virgil's face. "You know what? Maybe I should take back my offer on my hoodie…" Virgil mumbled as he looked at his hoodie hanging on the washing machine's door.

"What? No! I'm sorry again!" Thomas exclaimed. "Kidding, kidding…" Virgil smiled again as he held his boyfriend close to him.

Besides, he's curious to see how cute Thomas looks in his hoodie...

Roses and Proposals

- Third (3rd) Day of Romthom Week (Courtesy of ThomasxSides Weeks 2022)

Summary: Thomas is simply gushing his feelings about being engaged through his thoughts and his fiancé, of course.

Thomas was watching television on his couch after having done all his chores and yet, once again, he couldn't pay attention to it. This time it was not because of an existential issue but rather, it was the ring on his finger. His wedding ring! After believing he would never find the love of his life, a Prince came to him and proclaimed his love for him. Literally.

His Prince, his Creativity, his Roman had just recently proposed to him and Thomas was getting used to being referred to as Roman's fiancé as he couldn't stop a smile from appearing on his face every time he heard that phrase. What did he ever do to deserve this much happiness?

And yes, okay, yeah, how could a Side marry their human? Thomas and Roman don't know and they don't care at the moment.

As soon as they have their wedding, Thomas is going to be a husband…

As well as a Prince alongside Roman becoming the King of his side of the Imagination but Thomas is sure he won't have that many royal duties as it just seems to be a title.

Still again, Thomas couldn't help but giggle and smile and look through social media for any wedding ideas to suggest to the rest of his Sides who excitedly agreed to plan the wedding. While scrolling through his phone, he felt someone grab his hand that had his wedding ring on it. Then he felt a kiss against his knuckles, Thomas giggled at that knowing full well who it was.

"Roman, how come you're here? I thought you would be busy slaying enemies or something like that." Thomas teased. "Well, I was but I saw these, and I couldn't resist picking them up for you, mi amor," Roman replied, revealing from behind his back a bouquet of roses. "Honey, these are beautiful!" Thomas gasped as he grabbed the bouquet and gently touched the roses' petals. "They are but they pale in comparison to your beauty." The Prince spoke as he placed yet another kiss against Thomas' knuckles. "Honey! You're too sweet! What did I ever do to deserve you?" Thomas exclaimed.

"I wonder the same thing, my love," Roman replied with a smile that made him look like a lovesick fool. Which was accurate considering the amount of love he felt for his human. "I love you so much, Roman. I can't wait for our wedding." Thomas spoke as he hugged his Creativity tightly and softly kissed him. "Te amo también, mi amor," Roman replied as he hugged Thomas back and settled into the couch with him for the night.

As well as for some cuddles.

Summary: Patton wakes up earlier than Thomas does, he uses that time to just think and cuddle.

It was 6:30 in the morning.

Patton wasn't sure what woke him up. He guesses his mind and body just decided that he should wake up. 30 minutes earlier than his human would wake up. But to be completely honest, Patton didn't mind at all since he got to silently appreciate Thomas, his human and boyfriend. Patton didn't know if this was creepy or not, however, he didn't care, he just liked to be able to be in the silent and calming presence of Thomas.

Thomas was still asleep and in his arms, all snuggled up to his chest.

"You're so cute."

Patton leaned in and kissed Thomas on his forehead causing his human to move a bit in his sleep. Patton chuckled a bit and apologized silently for disturbing his slumber. If Patton could be in these moments forever, he would but he knows that he can't be. Things have been difficult ever since that whole callback-wedding thing. Thomas has been worried about how much this situation has affected both Patton and the others but Patton and Janus had reassured him that things will get settled eventually.

Thomas believed them but Patton is having a tricky time believing himself simply knowing how strained his relationships with everyone, excluding Janus and Thomas, have been. Thomas has been a supporting boyfriend throughout this entire thing which Patton has appreciated. How did he manage to get a human so sweet, kind, and supportive as Thomas?

"Is it okay for me to be this happy?"

Patton doesn't know the answer to that question yet. Patton turned around slightly to check the time.

6:50.

Ah, almost time to wake Thomas up for that schedule Logan set him up for. Patton really doesn't want this moment to end but he can't argue with Logan, now, can he? Besides, he really wants to make this day work for Logan. Maybe they can talk afterward?

6:55.

Patton can't help himself. "Sweetheart, wake up, it's almost 7…" Patton whispers as he peppers small kisses on his boyfriend's face. Thomas makes a face at that and shifts a bit in his sleep. "Sweetheart…" Patton whispers again, his heart swelling at the sight of his boyfriend. "If it's almost 7 then that means 5 more minutes, right?" Thomas mumbles, not opening his eyes yet and snuggling a bit more into Patton's chest.

"Guess so…" Patton responds, smiling as he holds Thomas tighter. 

5 more minutes sounds nice.

Ice Cream

Summary: It's a hot day in Florida so Thomas seeks relief of the heat with ice cream and his boyfriend.

Today was a hot day.

Then again, Thomas lives in Florida so he should have gotten used to it. But, he hasn't. The hot climate of Florida has always bugged him, the holiday seasons were especially terrible as he saw the other states getting colder and having snow while they didn't. He thinks he has a right to complain though because today, the weather seems hotter than usual. Thomas was laying on his couch with an air conditioner on which helped but it wasn't enough perhaps if he stopped fidgeting so much, it would.

But again, he can't help it, he's sweating and he's on the couch and ugh, Florida's climate sucks. He finds a way to calm himself down enough to decide that he wants to go hang out with his boyfriend as a way to keep his mind off of the heat. And so, he closes his eyes and suddenly, he's in the mindscape, the place where all his Sides reside when they aren't dealing with existential problems. "Thomas, what are you doing here, sweetheart?" A familiar voice asked him, noticing his presence from the couch. Thomas smiled at that voice, it was the voice from his lovely morality and boyfriend, Patton.

"It's so hot today, I can't stand it. Please, distract me from the heat, honey…" Thomas whined as he threw himself in Patton's arms. "Aw, sweetheart...don't worry, I know just the thing to not only distract you but make you feel cooler!" Patton exclaimed as he softly nudged Thomas off his lap to get up to walk over to the freezer. Patton rummaged through the freezer until he finally got a hold of what he was looking for. As Patton closed the freezer, Thomas noticed what was in his hands and jumped from the couch with excitement, "Ice cream!" "You're right, Thomas! It won't fill your real body up, but I know it'll distract you from all this heat!" Patton replied as he put the tub of ice cream on the counter to get two bowls.

Thomas made his way over to the kitchen counter, trying his best to wait patiently as Patton scooped out ice cream for both himself and him. Before Patton could begin scooping out ice cream for the second bowl, Thomas stopped him, his patience already gone. "Can't we just share?" Thomas asked. "Well, if that's what you want, sweetheart then I don't mind," Patton replied with a smile as he put the second bowl away and grabbed two spoons. Patton joined Thomas at the kitchen counter as he put the bowl of ice cream between them.

Both of them wasted no time grabbing a spoon and shoving ice cream into their mouths which they soon wish they had waited a bit before they did that. Thomas felt a shiver up his spine as the ice cream went down his throat alongside a growing headache. Brain freeze, ugh, the downsides of eating ice cream, Thomas groaned at the pain but was surprised to hear Patton doing the same. "Sides aren't immune to brain freezes either, huh?" Thomas teased, his brain freeze going away quickly as it appeared. "Ah, yeah, I'm surprised by it myself," Patton replied, rubbing his forehead while looking down.

Though once he looked up, he noticed a spoon of ice cream in front of him. Thomas smiled as he moved the spoon toward his boyfriend's lips ever so slowly. Patton let out a little chuckle before accepting this most generous offer by his boyfriend. "I love you so much, honey." Thomas sighed lovingly as he removed the spoon from Patton's lips. Patton blushed a little bit but smiled nonetheless as he leaned over to give Thomas a small kiss. 

"I love you as well, sweetheart," Patton replied, putting his forehead against Thomas' to simply stare into his boyfriend's eyes. "Ah, Patton, your lips are cold!" Thomas exclaimed, teasing Patton a bit more. Patton simply laughed and apologized but played along with his boyfriend's teasing by leaving more kisses on his lips and cheeks.

"Thomas, Patton, we get it, you two love each other."

"Logan!"

Make My Worries Go Away

Thomas leaned back on his couch as he continued to watch the movie on his television screen. It had been a long day for him. With all the editing, cleaning, and cooking he's had to do, it felt nice to simply relax for a bit. In fact, he wasn't really paying attention to the movie at all. He couldn't tell you the story, the name of the characters, or anything if his life depended on it.

Thomas simply continued to doze off as the movie played in the background. Since, although he was resting, his mind was hard to convince that he had earned it. His head was abuzz with countless chores that he needed to do and projects that he wanted to get started on. It frustrated him to no end as he simply wanted to destress but alas, he had to deal with it. But then his thoughts were disrupted when someone popped into his living room.

"Heya, bunny boy!" A familiar voice exclaimed. "Hm? Oh, hey…" Thomas mumbled back, his mind not bothering to put in the effort to focus on the Side who popped up. "Seems like someone's out of it today!" The Side teased with a smirk appearing on his face. "Huh? No! I'm here, um…" Thomas replied, finally putting his focus on the Side. The human put on a small and soft smile once he realized who it was in his living room. "...Remus!" He added, sitting up straight.

"About time you acknowledged me!" Remus spoke although he had a small little idea in his head that he wanted to put to action. "I was honestly starting to think you weren't gonna pay attention to me! Like you were gonna throw me away like a used condom!" Remus whined in a mocking tone. "I think you're being a tad bit overdramatic…" Thomas replied, trying to hold in his laughter. Remus didn't reply as he folded his arms and looked away from his human. Thomas sighed but decided to play along with the idea as he had nothing else better to do.

"Alright, what can I do to make it up to you?" Thomas asked. Remus looked back at Thomas with his usual mischievous smirk and started to think about what he wanted. He started to eye Thomas until he landed on Thomas's legs or specifically his thighs. Remus wasn't sure what it was about them but he adored Thomas's thighs, he would touch them any chance he could get. Hell, he's even marked them twice or more on "special" occasions.

They just looked so inviting and Remus couldn't help but worship them. Thomas, while a little confused, never questioned it and admits that the treatment of them has been rather nice in his words. "Close your eyes for a minute," Remus ordered to which Thomas accepted although hesitantly. While his eyes were closed, Thomas could suddenly feel something lay in his lap and he chuckled at Remus's one-track mind. "Alright! Open 'em!" Remus exclaimed and Thomas did as he was told to do.

"Hm? That's it? You just wanna lie your head on my lap?" Thomas teased as he looked down at the Duke. "Listen! When you sit down, your thighs kinda like puff out, they look so comfy! I couldn't resist it!" Remus explained then smiled as he felt Thomas comb a hand through his hair. "Well, alright then…" Thomas mumbled as he let his free hand intertwine with Remus's. "I love you so much, Remus…" Thomas added as he felt a warm feeling spread from his chest. After a long day, sometimes, all Thomas needed was his boyfriend to make all his worries go away even if it's just for a bit.

"Love ya a hell of a lot too! So whatcha watchin'? It looks boring…can we change it to a horror movie?" Remus asked and Thomas just smiled and nodded his head.

TSxSides - The Bachelor AU!

You know The Bachelor? That TV series where a bunch of girls compete for one guy (the Bachelor) to fall in love with them? It works in a kind of tournament, each week or so some contestants are eliminated. There are also individual and group dates with the Bachelor. 

Well, imagine an AU in which Thomas is the Bachelor! (But all his contestants are guys for obvious reasons-) All the sides, along with Remy, Emile, and the Critic, are among the contestants. We can also include Shorts characters and OCs to fill up the rest of the twenty-some spots. 

Thomas finds most if not all the contestants wonderful, and has a great time on the dates they go on, but ultimately the last nine left are - you guessed it - Virgil, Roman, Remy, Remus, Patton, Logan, Janus, Emile, and the Critic. 

It's going to get harder and harder for Thomas to decide who to keep in the game and who he'll let go of. All nine of the remaining contestants are wonderful in their own ways, he's enjoyed getting to know all of them, and he could see each of them as his partner in the long run. 

But who will he choose? Who will be eliminated and left heartbroken? That's for you to decide. 😉 

(Seriously, the ending of this AU could go so many ways, and I didn't have a particular one in mind! Also, the sides could fall in love with each other if they don't get to be with Thomas-) 

I hope you like this AU! Everyone, feel free to add on your ideas! It could be for dates, happenings between the contestants (and perhaps Thomas), and endings you like best!

"Should we really be doing this?" Thomas asked. "Well, I mean, why shouldn't we?" Janus replied as he rummaged through his backpack. Thomas nodded hesitantly as he looked at the gate in front of him. The gate was locked heavily and on the other side of the gate was an amusement park. Not one that was active and closed for the night, it was an abandoned one.

"Alright, everything is checked out. Come on, let's head inside." Janus said as he zipped up his backpack. "Right…" Thomas mumbled out as he tightened his grip on his backpack. The taller of the two started to climb the gate enthusiastically. Once he reached the top, Janus jumped from his spot and landed on the other side. Thomas smiled slightly at Janus but lost it as he continued to stare at the gate.

"Come on, you can do it," Janus exclaimed which caused Thomas to flinch a bit. Thomas breathed in and out before he started to climb the gate. Janus could hear the metal bars shake lightly as Thomas reached the top. "Are you scared to jump down?" Janus asked, lightly teasing Thomas. "What? No…." Thomas responded, embarrassingly. Janus sighed softly before extending his arms forward.

"I'll try my best to catch you, alright?" He added. Thomas nodded before he jumped, his land was a little wonky with him ending up in Janus' arms. "You good?" Janus asked as he helped Thomas stand upright. "Yeah, uh, I'm good," Thomas replied, blushing heavily. "Cool, let's get a move on! We got some cool things to see around here." Janus explained as he started to walk forward.

Thomas smiled and nodded his head but his legs could simply not move forward. His mind was running with countless thoughts such as getting caught or possibly getting murdered. "Thomas?" Janus questioned as he finally noticed Thomas staying behind. Thomas didn't say anything as his mind just continued to run these thoughts with no end. "Thomas, are you okay? Do you need to take a breather for a bit? That's fine by me." Janus reassured as he made his way over to him.

"I'm...look, I'm really excited and happy to be here especially with you. But I'm just so nervous and scared right now. What if we get caught? Or a killer jumps out and murders us? Or we get kidnapped?" Thomas quickly explained. Janus could tell that Thomas was starting to have an anxiety attack so he simply sat both of them down on the ground. "Alright, let's just take nice and easy breaths to clear that mind of yours, okay?" Janus said. Thomas nodded as he started to breathe in and out slowly and softly. Janus simply put his hand on Thomas' shoulder just to make sure he was absolutely okay.

Thomas soon calmed down and looked at Janus to silently tell him that. "So you calmed down? We can leave this place if you want." Janus suggested as he took his hand off Thomas' shoulder. "No! I've been looking forward to this night but, I'm just scared of being here now. I didn't expect it to be so dark and quiet." Thomas explained. "Hm…." Janus thought for a bit until he finally got an idea. Janus slowly slipped in his hand with Thomas' and squeezed it softly. "This way we'll always be together and never separated," Janus explained as he stood up. "Uh, yeah, I like that!" Thomas exclaimed as he stood up with a light blush returning.

"Good cause I spotted a Ferris Wheel in the distance that I really wanna check out," Janus spoke enthusiastically once again. "Oh yeah, that sounds cool!" Thomas exclaimed. "And besides, it's not illegal if they aren't any witnesses around," Janus stated with a wink. "You troublemaker," Thomas mumbled with a shy smile. "But it's true!" Janus replied as they continued to walk toward the Ferris Wheel. "Well, alright, that's enough proof for me." Thomas spoke as he looked down at their linked hands.

Remy Morales walked into the cafeteria alongside his friend, Virgil Storm. The two talked as they went over to their usual table until Remy stopped for a second. "Uh, you okay?" Virgil asked, noticing. "I feel like someone's staring at me," Remy replied. Virgil looked over Remy's shoulder to spot that theatre kid staring.

"Who is it?" Remy asked quietly. Virgil continued to look as Thomas seemed to let out a sigh followed by a lovestruck smile. "That theatre kid, Thomas Sanders," Virgil answered as he looked back at Remy. "Wait, really?" Remy asked him amusingly. But before Virgil could say not to look back, Remy did which resulted in Thomas quickly looking away.

"I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say he's head over heels for you." Virgil teased as Remy looked back at him. "Oh, you think? Cause like I don't mind. I mean he's cute and all." Remy replied as he continued to walk over toward their table. "If that's the case, why don't you ask him out or something like that?" Virgil suggested as he sat down at their table. Virgil could tell that behind Remy's sunglasses, his eyes widened at the suggestion which made him let a small chuckle. Remy composed himself quickly as he put his sunglasses on his head.

"You really think so? Like I should just go up to him and act all flirty and shit? What if he rejects me or something? I'll never be able to live that down." Remy said in a panicked tone. "Well, how about you stop being a pussy and just do it. You never know until you try it, right? I mean, that's what you tell me." Virgil replied, putting his hand on Remy's wrist. "True…" Remy mumbled out. "Besides I saw this goofy lovestruck look on his face when he was staring at you. There is no way he's gonna reject you." Virgil added which made Remy smile and put his sunglasses back on. "I hope…" Virgil whispered as Remy got up and headed towards Thomas' table.

Remy put his hands down on the table to grab Thomas's attention which did work. "Oh, um, can I help you?" Thomas asked, a light blush visible on his face. But at the same time, a bit of panic was rising up inside him. What if Remy came over to tell him to not stare at him because it was creepy? Oh, he would never live that down.

"In fact, you can, pretty boy," Remy replied with a smirk. "You see. I heard you're into bad boys and well…" Remy added as he pointed at himself. "No, not really…" Thomas responded, softly chuckling at the action. "Fuck." Remy muttered under his breath. "Well, I mean apart from you," Thomas added, his blush becoming more visible.

"Oh," Remy mumbled as his shoulders tensed. Thomas didn't understand his reaction until his mind was able to properly register what he just said. "Oh, uh, I didn't mean to say that! I was just, um-. I hope that doesn't-. I should probably go!" Thomas continued to stutter out as he began to grab all his things. "Wait, no, that wasn't a bad "oh". It was a good one." Remy explained quickly as he grabbed Thomas's wrist. "Really?" Thomas questioned as he slowly put his things down.

"Yeah, good "oh", I promise," Remy answered as he sat down at the table. There was a silence between them after that so Remy looked at the clock to see the time. "So, you're into me?" Remy asked, realizing how much time they have left until lunch ends. "Um, yes! For a while now…" Thomas responded, facing down in embarrassment. "That's good! Cause me too! I'm, uh, into you too!" Remy exclaimed a little too quickly.

God, the awkward silence between the two of them was just killing them. "Alright, look. You and me. After school. At the entrance. Tomorrow. Got it?" Remy said as he got up from his seat. "Oh, sure! Yeah, that's fine!" Thomas spoke, putting on a small smile. "Alright, cool, see you then!" Remy spoke as he turned around quickly and walked back to his table. Remy facepalmed himself, he cannot believe what just happened.

"So, how was it?" Virgil asked as Remy sat down. If Virgil figured out what happened, he'll never let him live this down at all. Remy let out a long sigh before looking directly at Virgil with a smirk. "Smoothed talked him into a date. It totally worked." Remy explained as he finger-gunned Virgil. "Right, sure you did…" Virgil responded with a smile, not believing Remy for a second. Ah well, at least, Remy had a date.
