Juniper isn't a man, their gender isn't important or relevant to the plot. They use they/them or any/all pronouns for a reason. Their gender for lack of a better word is genderfluid or genderqueer but I personally don't like putting a label on it. If they had to use a flag, it would be the queer one.

Kiida is not a rapist. She is someone who has groomed others, she's manipulative and enables other abusers (like Juniper) to hurt other people and abuse them knowing exactly what they're capable of.

Kiida and Helios aren't in love, they're an abuser and her victim. Just because Helios thinks he's in love or is in love doesn't make it "true love". She is abusing him, she is manipulating him. She doesn't get a "redemption arc" because not all abusers deserve redemption or want to be redeemed.

The comic also isn't completely out, anon. The writers know more than you.

Anon if this is about Juniper and Kiida, then know your assessment is mistaken.

1. Juniper isn’t a man. They’re nonbinary.

2. Kiida is not a rapist. She is a groomer, manipulating those around her and dating someone who is, not only her subordinate, but also much younger than her, but she is not a rapist.

3. Kiida is not a good person and Fran has made that clear. Just because we haven’t seen her face any consequences yet doesn’t mean she never will, nor does it mean she will be redeemed.

You are right that rapists regardless of gender or lack thereof should face the consequences of their actions. However Fran and Juice (Juniper’s creator) are both well aware of this, and given the fact that the rapist character was brutally killed despite being nonbinary shows this.

Ai isn't canon anymore because the opinions and views of her creator don't align with the other writers and people who contribute to the comic and the person who made her harassed multiple people on the team and made them uncomfortable.

Ven was removed at the request of the person who designed and wrote her to be something unrelated to Lumata and wanted to have their character back.
