All forms of polymindence are completely valid if not causing direct harm upon yourself or others.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but you’re not a bad person for being polymind. You’re not horrible for putting A label on something you experience personally. If someone doesn’t agree with that , that’s probably not someone youd want to be around in the first place.
Take care of yourselves, both mono and polyminds alike ! Love y’all!
saying stuff like this is actually really unhealthy and bad. it’s none of your business whether someone’s polymindence hurts them, a strangers health is none of your business and you don’t get to dictate what’s right for them especially because you don’t know them, and if it does harm them that doesn’t mean its their fault. if someone is being harmed you should be concerned for them, not make them feel bad because they’re the one being harmed. someone’s polymindence could technically have harmful things tied to it if it’s caused by disorders. im not saying this because being harmed is good, im saying this because people shouldn’t have to look for “permission” from strangers on the internet for something that only affects them. that is unhealthy and harms people. they don’t need your validation. this phrase supports the idea people aren’t competent enough to decide what’s best for themselves and a stranger is above them in that regard. the term valid/invalid on the internet has heavy association with being used as “completely allowed” or “completely not allowed” to do something from thousands of people agreeing with it
was gonna add more but i ran out of steam 😔👎 anyway here’s an infographic on how people with complex dissociative disorders are not that different from you lol
how is bro gonna post this while being anti polymind. the projection is crazy, bros so close to being self aware 😭 me when i repost stuff disagreeing with myself
it’s like the mean girl reposting stuff like “be kind, you never know what someone’s going through”
Flags for those who are/are perceived as "insane" while maintaining joy in their active lives.
Some examples may be:
Anyone actively living in their delusions & choosing to continue doing so despite having options to break/escape said delusions.
Anyone with chronic fatigue/pain symptoms who pushes themselves past their limits in an effort to enjoy life.
Anyone who doesn't follow societal standards, only engaging in activities that would bring them joy in some way.
I guess it could be seen as a self harm term. I didn't coin it for that, and the definition of "self harm" is wildly up for debate here. Still, use it however you want.
i see you putting a bunch of bad people in your dni as if you only put people in your dni for being morally wrong then casually putting “polyminds” to make them look bad
me when i subtly defame a group of people for something they can’t change about themselves but they’re not allowed to interact and it’s just a boundary 😭😭
Most endos are not traumagenic systems but just people faking. That's the truth and I understand a lot of folks can't get that because they want to see the best in people but that is simply the case. DID/OSDD1 and any other dissociative disorder are not just disorders that emerge from acute trauma. Dissociative disorders are formed from repetitive complex trauma from ages 3-7. COMPLEX trauma is not related to loss, natural disasters, etc despite commonly believed to be such in the 90s. DID/OSDD1 are often abuse specific.
Most if not nearly all endos are just fakers.
Going to have to partially disagree on you there. While I do believe that there are decent few endogenic systems who are genuinely faking, I also believe that there are many traumagenic systems who have got caught up in the mess that endogenic systems are. Most of whom believe their trauma wasn't bad enough, or have been told that their trauma wasn't bad enough. According to someone who has been in both pro and anti spaces, pro endos are more likely to say that someone's trauma wasn't bad enough, which is interesting.
I don't believe endogenic systems exist in any sense at all, but that doesn't mean by default that more or nearly all of them are faking. I really don't like throwing the "fake" label around as even if they are faking, they do likely still have an issue that needs addressing.
Yes CDDs are caused by trauma, but most of the research I've read says it has to be by ages 5-9, not 3-7, but that is also highly debated on due to it being unethical to cause trauma to a child to see what ages it forms during.
The ICD states that the trauma has to be chronic or severe. It doesn't necessarily have to be extremely repetitive or extremely severe, just one of the both and prevalent enough for the child to deem dissociation as the way to escape from the situation (from what I've read). But yes, it is unlikely to be causes by a singular loss or natural disaster in the child's life, and more likely to be caused by abuse/neglect (whether by primary caregivers or another adult the child sees regularly).
Also it's important to remember that trauma is the reaction to an event. Which is why multiple people can go through the same stuff, but not everyone is traumatised by it.
adding onto this it’s really common for people with CDDS to not remember their trauma, or for a specific alter to not remember it, and it’s common for people with trauma to not realize what they went through was traumatic, so it makes sense that a lot of people would identify as endogenic systems even if they’re not
How To If A System Is Faking: A comprehensive guide by Peter [He/They]
1. They tell you themselves they're faking.
That's it! That's LITERALLY IT! "But Peter what if they—" Nope! Don't care what they're doing/not doing that's suspicious! I dont even care if they claim to be non-traumagenic, cause even though being non-traumagenic is impossible, there's still the chance the system is misinformed and doesn't remember their trauma causing them to believe they're endo. (In that case they should do better research)
Unless they tell you themselves that they're faking you have NO way of knowing if someone is faking being a system!
can we say this to people accusing others of faking without claiming to have DID too / saying they’re faking dissociative experiences if they don’t believe they have DID because. ive gotten that so many times. ive gotten told i don’t have trauma because i don’t have DID and im just “purposefully trying to give myself dissociation for no reason” and ill never know what it’s like to suffer from trauma and dissociation like they do and im “copying them” (which is just guilt tripping) when ive literally experienced both of those things myself. and the same people have said “oh well endogenic systems just don’t remember their trauma” but they called me an endogenic system when im aware i have trauma like you’re the only one denying i have trauma 😭
like yeah i might have separation in identity similar to tertiary / secondary structural dissociation but i wanna heal i dont wanna be disordered or struggle with dissociation im not gonna make myself get worse just to appease you by “suffering enough” just because i already had to suffer and im “copying” you for it, and not meeting the criteria for a disorder doesn’t mean im not real
like bro stop yelling at me for “copying my own experiences” you don’t own the concept of dissociation or having a brain 😭

💬ㅤVERBALITY MODIFIERㅤ◦ㅤan umbrella term for all forms of verbality or scribal-related modifiers. this includes things like hyper-verbality or selective-mutism caused by neurodivergency or other disabilities- but this also includes other things such as typing quirks, hyper-formality, disorganized speech, etc. anything that impairs ones speech could use this flag. ㅤ⋆
[ pt; "verbality modifier:" end pt ]

i don’t know if i can use this for identifying as multiple people but i don’t actually experience being multiple people psychologically either, cuz my identity doesn’t align with reality but that can still be considered an internal self i think
An umbrella term for when you don't consider yourself nor refer to yourself as [X], but you are still undeniably [X] in whatever way(s).
An example would be NuconstieAngel, where you don't consider yourself an Angel, but you are still undeniably an Angel.
PT: Nuconstie. (Niu-con-stee). An umbrella term for when you don't consider yourself as X, but you are still undeniably X in whatever ways. An example would be nuconstie-angel, where you don't consider yourself an angel, but you are still undeniably an angel.

I originally wanted to coin the example I used first, but realised I could turn it into an umbrella term.
Can be used for gender, orientation, alterhumanity, etc.
Here is the template / PSD file for the layers (link) to coin your own Nuconstie term.

saying polyminds are bad because they’re reworded endos is like being anti goodfaith deciding a straight man “acts too feminine” and yelling at them for “being a reworded lesboy” and “just wanting an excuse to be a lesboy without people getting mad at them”
that’s fucking stupid and weird right? then why are you doing it to polyminds
NCWOB — an acronym similar to MOGAI, LIOM and QAI that stands for 'non-conventional/non-conforming ways of being'! it is a label including anyone who has an unconventional identity or lifestyle, including but not limited to:
trans, genderqueer, nonbinary, multigender, gender non-conforming, neogender and xenogender individuals, and individuals with an alternative experience to gender or are nongendered entirely
other queer/lgbtqia people including individuals who experience tertiary attraction, are aspec, are intersex, etc.
alterhumans, human-non-conforming individuals, nonhuman and transspecies individuals
plurals, systems, multiself, polymind, variform, etc.
individuals who participate in sociarchies such as misceverse, pastryverse, fasieverse, etc.
individuals with non-amatonormative relationships such as qprs and nichelinks, being polyamorous, and experiencing attraction to/being in relationships with objects or concepts
individuals who experience atypical dysphoria/euphoria, desirdae, dissodic, intusui, etc.
anyone else who considers their identity or lifestyle non-conforming in some way
it is an opt-in label and should not be used to insult or belittle people.
coiner's note: i doubt this will gain traction, i don't intend for it to replace existing acronyms i just wanted something broader than mogai and qai but still less broad than liom
