Question: What drew you to this character when you first read the script?
It was Liberty from the very first page. She's a woman who's built this seemingly perfect life on the outsideāsuccessful, composed, the one who always has the right answer in the boardroomābut underneath, she's carrying her own emotional cracks. Ryan Murphy writes incredibly layered women, and I immediately felt like Liberty had so many sides of herself that I hadn't had the chance to explore on screen before. And honestly, getting to be part of this cast of powerful, brilliant, yet deeply human women... it was impossible to say no.
Question: What parts of your character do you relate to, and what parts are different from you?
I definitely relate to her need for control and that feeling of, "I have to hold everything together." As a mother and as a woman who's been navigating this industry for years, I understand that pressure to make it look like everything is fine. We also share the same dry sense of humor and that fierce loyalty to the people we love. Where we're very different is how fearless she is when it comes to confronting personal issues. I'm a little more... avoidant sometimes.
Question: Is there a moment in the series you're especially proud of as an actress?
There's a scene in Season 1āI think it's Episode 4 or 5āduring this incredibly intense divorce mediation. Liberty delivers this monologue where she's not only defending her client, but also a version of herself that never allowed herself to be vulnerable. It was one of those moments where I could finally let a lot of walls come down. When we finished shooting, the entire set was silent. Those are the moments that remind you why you fell in love with acting in the first place.
Question: What have you learned from working with the cast and crew?
I've learned so much. Glenn Close is a master of precision and emotional depth, she is a fucking legend for God's Sake. I adore her. Sarah Paulson teaches you how to be fearless while still having so much fun. Niecy and Teyana bring this incredible energy and emotional honesty that naturally pushes you to raise your own game. And Kim... she has a level of focus and professionalism that genuinely impressed me. More than anything, this cast reminded me that the best stories happen when women support one another. There isn't competition here, there's collaboration. And that's been such a beautiful thing to experience on set and off it too.
Question: Was there a co-star who challenged you to become a better performer?
Honestly, all of them. But if I had to pick one... Sarah Paulson. Working with her feels like taking a masterclass every single day. She's completely present in every scene and responds to every tiny nuance you give her. She challenged me to be braver, more specific, and more unpredictable and she really taught me how to have fun and enjoy every minute on set.
Question: Why do you think audiences connect with your show?
Because people loved watching this group of brilliant women help others rebuild their lives while they're rebuilding their own... that's something people genuinely connect with. And on of course it's entertaining, It's glamorous, emotional, funny... it really has everything. The high fashion is something unreal that women and gays seem to enjoy and appreciate. I do too. I love it.
Question: What song best describes your character's journey?
Oh Gosh. That's a though question. I'd probably say "Both Sides Now" by Joni Mitchell. Liberty sees life through so many different lensesācontrol, chaos, love, loss and little by little she realizes that the beauty is in embracing both sides of it all. I also think "Piece by Piece" by Kelly Clarkson fits because of that idea of rebuilding yourself after you've been broken.
Oh, I didn't realize that you got a second season for it! But that's got to be exciting returning to the set and being with all badass ladies. I watched season one and it was great. Some episodes had me on the edge of my seat. You all deserved that second season. I love that you don't let the negative talk about the show get to you. I can't wait to hear all about the films that are in pre-production. Are you both civil about it? At the end of the day, you have to do what makes you happy. If you've fallen for someone else, there's really nothing you can do, but allow yourself to be happy.
We did! And I'm absolutely delighted about it. I enjoyed the first season so much, but this one? It's been even better. All the extravagance is back, and I'm sure you're going to love it too. I saw the first photos of you as part of the AHS universe, and you look amazing! I can't wait to find out who you're playing and whether you have any scenes with Sarah. PRIVATE: Speaking of Sarah... she's actually the one to blame for this whole "falling for someone else" situation. Well... she's the someone else.
Private: I need help planning a romantic belated birthday outing for Sam. I wasn't able to see him on his actual birthday, so I want to make up for it when we have some free time together.
PRIVATE: We definitely should prepare something to surprise him. i have all the contacts, just tell me what kind of date you'd like to prepare and we will make it happen. i am excited for both of you.
Yes, I did! It's called F.I.G. It's been a passion project for years, so this year I just took the plunge, you know? It was amazing. Yes, it is. I don't have any shows till November and that's a support gig around the UK, which I am excited for. I am a pop girlie at heart. Lot's of things have insipred me. Falling in love mainly. And now baby girl is here!
Congratulationsāthat's a beautiful achievement, and I hope you're taking a moment to be proud of yourself. The tour sounds absolutely wonderful. I have a feeling you're going to have the loveliest time. Isn't it funny how love has a way of unlocking parts of ourselves we didn't even know were waiting to be discovered? Motherhood has a way of changing everything. It can be exhausting and overwhelming at times, but also unbelievably joyful. I'm so happy for you, darling. It really sounds like you're in such a beautiful season of your life.
i have and it feels like i made it through and came back stronger, better and the me i'm meant to be. so at the end of the day, good and bad, i'm grateful for all of it. the experiences made me the me i am now. nothing super special currently. what about you though?
And you're still young. You have your whole life ahead of you, and everything you've experienced has shaped you into the incredible, strong woman you are todayāsomeone admired by millions, myself included. As for me? I'm filming the second season of All's Fair with all the ladies back on board, working on my health and beauty line, and, well... basically navigating my complicated but exciting personal life.
SARAH: Scary, sure. But harmless. worse she can do is put a pretend hex on you whilst she's in character, but even then, i don't think she'd like the idea of 'fully' scaring you away. So, if you'd be so kind with escorting me to my trailer again one of these days, me and Cordelia would really enjoy your company again, it's been missed. Now even just by me.
SARAH: i find it ironic, how this time, when i wanted to be in Paris - i couldnāt, so obviously i need you to tell me everything. even though i was keeping my eye's on your stories, omi š„

NAOMI: I must admit that seeing you as Cordelia has caused some damage in my brain, now I don't even care if Mrs Lange tries to murder me next time I visit you on that set. You look even better now. How is that possible? I can't wait to see you if I am honest I have tried to avoid you for a little while. I am more scared of facing you than facing your ex.
NAOMI: I guess we really should sit down for a while and talk about it. Right now, at this point in my life, I don't give a fuck about my public image. I just want you to know how I'm feeling and how you've turned my world upside downānot in a bad way. And I guess what you're trying to say is that you feel the same way... or at least something close to it?
yes and look, i don't want to end any of this for a bit. i'm still feeling and living, kicking and thriving. as long as i'm having fun? i'm here to stay. that's my motto. aww, thank you, babe. i think the same with all i went through and being where i am right now. i don't ever plan to stop being that woman and one to inspire many other young woman in the world. great, i'll always make time for you when you ask.

Of course, darling. I'm currently working on the second season of All's Fair. The show has been equally loved and hated, which is honestly kind of fascinating. Ryan Murphy created this exuberant, excessive universe of female attorneys led by Kim Kardashian. People either absolutely adore us or can't stand usābut hey, we got a second season, so we must be doing something right. I'm also in pre-production on a couple of films, which has been keeping me very busy. Oh, God, darling... I don't know how to start to talk about this... but I've gotten myself into quite a messy situation. We're meeting with lawyers next week because, as awful as it sounds, I think I've fallen for someone else.
That sounds like such a good idea, yes. We need to do that. No, like a music tour, I put out an album earlier this year and was lucky enough to take it on tour. Still shocked we sold out so many venues and people actually showed up and sang along. I love that. Can't wait for season two. We do and most likely the next time we speak, baby will be here, that is how close we are talking. It is the first, for both me and Chris. I still can't believe it.
