Bundy gets frustrated with Judge Cowart in court regarding opening statements. Mr. Watson rebukes Bundy, causing yet another amazing display of arrogancy from the killer.

Ted Bundy highly enjoyed the media attention during his trials, viewing it as a platform for his narcissistic need to display intelligence and charm. He played to cameras, frequently joked with reporters, and used his televised trials to craft a "charming, intelligent" persona, which aimed to manipulate public perception and mask his gruesome crimes.

The dental impressions of Ted Bundy, on display at the Crime Museum in Tennessee.
In 1978, Bundy broke into the Chi Omega Sorority House and murdered two students. In an act of overkill, he bit Lisa Levy on the left buttock, leaving a deep bite mark. Due to his distinctive bottom teeth, these dental impressions eventually secured the conviction of the brutal murders. [Bottom image source]
”psst lets be in black and white and not tell him”
“That’s it for me,” I said. “I have nothing else. What about you?”
Murphy shook his head no and picked up his notepad. “I’m pretty sure that’s it, but I’ll go check with the captain.” He got up and left the room.
Dahmer looked over at me in a panic. “What does he mean, that’s it? Are you saying we’re done?”
I explained. “Well, yeah, Jeff, now that all the victims are identified, unless there is something else of importance you want to discuss, we’re finished.”
A look of fear came over him. “Does this mean I won’t see you anymore?”
I searched his face as he spoke. He didn’t look like a murderer at all; just a scared, confused and lonely guy trying to make a connection.
“Oh, sure, Jeff, in a few months the trial will begin and I’ll see you then.”
He continued in a tone that betrayed his anxiety. “Well, what’s going to happen to me?”
I explained that he still had to work with his lawyers to prepare his defense. “I’m sure they will take good care of you.”
Dahmer shook his head slowly. “I know Pat, but I was getting used to our little talks, and I enjoy being with you.”
Murphy interrupted the moment by opening the door. “I already called the jail and told them to hold his lunch. Come on Jeff, we’ll take you back over.”
I was slightly perplexed at the sudden and emotional reaction he had once he realized that this part of the investigation was winding down. The three of us made our way for the last time through the maze of secure areas leading to the county jail. A deputy waiting for us took custody of Dahmer and as he handcuffed him I said as casually and light as I could, “I’ll see you later, Jeff.”
Dahmer looked at the floor, not saying a word as the door closed behind him.

„I still have quilt. I will probably never get rid of that, but yes, I’m free of the compulsion and the driving need to do it. I don’t think i’m capable of creating anthing. I think the only thing I’m capable of is destroying. I’m sick and tired of being destructive. What worth is life if you can’t be helpful with someone?” - Jeffrey Dahmer
