Tikatok, by Pearson, is a safe way for young students to write, illustrate and publish their own story books. The site is social, so children can join groups, comment on books and work on stories collaboratively. Everything is teacher-monitored, which also means you can only access Tikatok if you have a Pearson School Code, so this service is not free. Common Sense Media has a great review on Tikatok that you should definitely check out.

Lulu's service helps you make printed books (bound in a variety of ways), e-books, photobooks, and even calendars. It's e-book service is completely free and a fabulous way to publish your own professional e-book as well as push the content to various e-book vendors and promote it as well. This site is more for educators and administrators looking to self-publish than for student/classroom usage.

Great for student creations and teacher instructional creations that make learning a tad more interactive, Flipsnacks is free and easy to use to create e-books with flippable pages.

A Pinterest board filled with useful activities for Spanish classes (and easily adapted to other foreign language classes and, perhaps, other disciplines as well). This is a GREAT resource for when you need a quick idea for your class.

All you need to do is enter in your URL, fill out some details, and there you go--digital EPub and PDF magazine formats of your content!  This is a great way to not only magazine-ify your own content but also your students' content from their blogs or class websites. A great cheaply-price free app for iPhone and iPad with a lot of potential.

I can envision that this app is not just for business speakers, but also for teachers presenting professional development or speaking at conferences as well as for students taking a public speaking course or serving as a leader in the school. Wafflr is packed with unique and useful features that can help you with any speaking occasion. Granted, this is a paid app, but I have seen it go on sale previously!
