Muppets make everything better.
Some genius set up a twitter account for New Baby Buggy, and their only tweet is truly perfect.
I've decided I'm sleeping...ohhhh hmmm...never again.
[reads image captions; shakes fist at the heavens] Blast it all. I see now that all my writing is merely mediocre.
Loving these modern proverbs for twentysomethings.
Concussion?
You know the old rhyme? -
It’s raining, it’s pouring The old man is snoring He bumped his head and went to bed And he couldn’t get up in the morning
Wasn't someone supposed to wake him up a few times to make sure he didn't slip into a coma? Where's the old man's wife? I feel like we should ask her a few questions.
Burlington Coat Factory's new commercials have discovered the elusive ratio of awkwardness.
New work up on the Thought Catalog
I'm excited to get another piece up on the Thought Catalog! (Don't worry - this one doesn't have anything to do with any of my body parts.)
I couldn't help but get my feelings out about dating a sports fanatic and how, even though I try to keep up, I always feel a little on the outside.
Here's the post. Hope you enjoy!
P.S. It's just so perfect that the first comment is a bit of light, team trash talk.
Published!
One of my creative writing pieces has just been published on the Thought Catalog!
It's a mixed bag having something quite this personal be published, but I suppose this is the first step in growing a thicker skin. I always hear that you can't keep your work locked up in the dark. How else to improve but to stick it out in the open for everyone to see?
Here's the link. I hope you enjoy it!
I finally understand Honey Boo Boo's target audience: morbidly obese, evil Scots.
Only Fat Bastard could love an episode like this.
"Smells like carrots in throw up!...It smells like hot sick ass in a dead carcass! Even stink would say that stinks!"
1. Why do men cheat
2. Why do we yawn
3. Why do cats purr
[write- in] Why do we search for the most inane things when the entirety of human knowledge is at our fingertips?
CHI & Partners have done some ads (you might've seen them in the subway) for PBS cleverly disparaging the state of TV.
After seeing "Knitting Wars," "Married to a Mime," and "Bad Bad Bag Boys" I though "Devious Maids" was another sarcastic nod to our poor taste in programming.
Nope. This show is real.
Usually the only thing you can get to stick with people (as far as ads go) is something shocking, hilarious, or completely non sequitur. Rarely is it something conceptual that ties back strongly to the brand. I couldn't believe that after seeing the original "Knitting Wars" ad 2 weeks ago, I still applied its main thought to this ridiculous, new show.
Needles to say, mind blown.
"Do you pop out at parties?"
Then you should probably get a smaller dress size.
(Sorry, Loft.)
I've realized Kristen Stewart and I are the same person.
Ok. Not the same person. (I loathe all things vampire and Pattinson.) But we both suffer from the same affliction: Resting Bitch Face.
You likely know someone with Resting Bitch Face. A friend that you always think is bored? RBF. Someone you're close to that you worry is angry for no reason? RBF.
Just because our facial expressions are consistently expressionless does not mean we're not brimming with emotion on the inside. So do your part to help the cause and be more discerning in telling the real bitches from an RBFer.

When we are stricken and cannot bear our lives any longer, then a tree has something to say to us: Be still! Be still! Look at me! Life is not easy, life is not difficult. Those are childish thoughts. . . . Home is neither here nor there. Home is within you, or home is nowhere at all.
Herman Hesse, Trees: Reflections and Poems
