I've just noticed that even though Killing Eve was praised for being a queer show - almost every single queer character was killed.

The only queer characters I can think of that survived are Eve and Gunn(who was left half dead on an island)

My favourite thing is the decision to make Juliette’s character an awkward, nervous baby. Like vampire characters in media are always badass and smooth and confident, Juliette is so refreshing with her anxious gay babbling and I am here for it

You can clearly tell who did and didn’t watch Carmilla based on all the First Kill critiques. Oh the monsters have bad cgi? On Carmilla we didn’t even get to see the monsters. Oh the scenes are shot from weird angles? On Carmilla we got one angle and never questioned why everyone was conveniently standing on one side of the room. Oh the plot is rushed and bad? On Carmilla all of the plot was entirely off screen and you know what? We loved every second of it

I love how stuck Calliope and Juliette’s parents are it’s so funny. They literally are having no success stopping them. They are like “control your kid” then immediately after “hey umm have you seen my kid? Can you return me my kid.. cool thanks I guess”

would like to thank first kill for accurate queer rep like two lesbians running away with each other two days after they met, a lesbian and a gay boy being best friends and kissing each other before they figured themselves out, “i can excuse my teen daughter bringing a vampire into the house but i draw the line at her having a girl in her room w the door shut”, and a kid wearing a my chemical romance shirt
