totes not same anon that said they are doing a Other Side animatic to ur AU…uh another very very important questions that have NOTHING to do with the animatic *blink blink* so I know that Bendy and Cuphead meet like fighting in an alley and stuff, but after that, they immediately reconnect or would you like? hasitantness?? Like, remember off topic from that comment up top, but like would Bendy be like well I gotta go do hell stuff and I can’t go to the other side until Cuphead convinces him, or is that too ooc? Or would it be like opposite? And also also does Bendy have magic, like could he like do fire and stuff from his hands?

1. While in my head they sorta (?) reconnect immediately. Ok to set the scene, Cuppy was gettin a drink when low and behold somebody at the bar’s got a problem with him. Its some demon with followers as well, so the usual scuffle happens, a fight breaks out its a usual tuesday night for cups and he’s just super over it atp, (its not fun when no mugman and nobody is fightin with him). Then in storms bendy, PKSHHHHH windows and light bulbs broken, in all the commotion and darkness cuphead cant catch a glimpse of who this new brawler is till a big demon gunning for him has him pinned, then bendy stomps his face in from above. On the floor, cuphead finally looks up to see “… bendy.” And bendy too, turns to see “cuphead-”.
But it’s not over yet, as during the fight they kinda angered a whole bar of thugs cus they, ya know, smashed everyone and everyone’s drinks. So the whole bar gangs up on them. For some goddam reason bendy grabs cupheads arm and they decide to start bookin’ it. Bendy’s finished dealing with the demons he came to the surface for, and cups wasn’t gettin a drink at this rate anyways so there really was no reason to stay. As they run they’re screaming at each other “YA GOT WINGS?” “YOU GOT POWERS?!” while in a full-on action scene where they conveniently get to show off how much they’ve grown, (cupheads fighting skills, bullets and muscle, bendys powers, flight and apparent hunting occupation). When they finally get to a safe space through bendy flying them outta there, they of course have a lot of questions for the other. Leading to a natural game of catch up bc “whadda hell do u mean ur an ancestor to some ancient lineage of warriors??” and “whadda hell do you mean u can turn into a horse?” . Im thinkin’ smth similar to the scene where Aladdin meets Jasmin for the first time.
The convo about catch-up ends up being one just crackin jokes at each other and reminiscing. I imagine they stayed on the roof of a building till sunrise, when they both then scurried off home to not worry their families. And Cupheads the one who reaches out and asks to meet up again, initiating their ‘reconnection’. This had been the most fun cups had had in ages. And Bendy still cant say no to him.
So yea I wouldn’t exactly say it was ‘hasty’ since it did take a whole action scene and even after one night of just talking they weren’t on the same page, their first reincounter rather just sparked some interest and curiosity. They both found out so much about the other persons side of things pertaining to the world going mad but mostly they are just glad they found someone who’s fun to talk to again. It didn’t take any convincing for bendy honestly to meet with cuphead again, he probably just stared at him after the question for a bit and said “sure!”, then flew off all giddy. They certainly would have talked for longer if not for the sun.
Thing with the ooc is that Bendy at this stage really does not want to do ‘grown-up hell stuff’. He takes jobs in collecting debtors and stopping independent demon gangs and other small field jobs cus hes helping out his pops (dice) run hell. But he REALLY does not want to grow up and become the RULER OF HELL, at least not yet. Because that’s his dad’s job (devil), and he is coming back. And when he had to leave it was so sudden bendy didn’t have time to prepare or be ready for so much responsibility, to him time is going way to fast and he just wants to be kid for a bit longer, and for things to go back to the way it used to be. Hence the immediate yes to seeing his childhood friend more.
But you do whatever the hell u want don’t let me restrict you pls trust me it’ll be more fun if you take creative liberties where you want. Super excited to see what u do <3
