My dreams in life were focused on completing my studies in Software Engineering and contributing to the field of technology. One thing ive noticed is that psych costume designs get darker as the show goes on. In season 1 Shawn wore a lot more bright shirts and lighter jeans, gus more colours, Juliet and Lassiter wore blue often, ect.

By season 6, shawns outfits alone are a LOT darker. Dark blues, blacks, dark denim, and jumpers. Lassiter and Juliet wear black and white suits with whatever accents. Gus is less gaudy (SAD), Henry is actually wearing professional clothes since he got his job, but when hes not on the case his costume design is still "Tacky hawaiian" so he gets a pass.

it might be fun to make a video about the evolution of costume design in the show, and how it also fits the aesthetic trends of 2006-2014. That is a large time-scale fashion wise.

The fashion changes with the times, naturally. But i do think theres character motivation there too. Shawn is more subdued, serious, he's matured a lot over the seasons even if this is a regular sitcom that resets at the end of the episode (more or less). It makes sense he would dress different over the years. For Lassiter and Juliet, it think its more just the show wanting to remind the viewer that these are Important Detectives at the end of the day, which is ehh, id rather lean into silliness with them. Juliet trying to dress professionally could work well tho, if the show wanted to follow through with the "women in workplaces have to work hard to be respected" narrative that they briefly introduced in that one episode. Shame it fell flat on its face tho :/

My personal preference is the costume design of s1-3 (2006-2008?) Possibly due to it being nostalgic (i was a young kid then) + I generally prefer brighter clothing over darker or more conservative styles in television. I like it when characters dress a little ugly, most ppl dress a little ugly.

it's actually insane that we're supposed to rely on crowdfunding sites like gofundme to help people suffering from a genocide.

like a lot of people in gaza are currently reliant on these sites and it takes a lot of time and effort to raise the smallest amounts of money. due to the number of fundraisers people tend to ignore most of them until something 'special' stands out.

i know someone who has had their fundraiser taken down twice for no reason. he has lost a very huge amount of money due to that. money that took months to raise. it's cruel and inhumane for these websites to shut down fundraisers and steal the money that would benefit someone living in such hellish conditions.

Help a disabled family get home

With the announcement of a ceasefire and plans to reopen a safe route back to north Gaza, the Al-Habil family are getting ready to go back home!

But the way ahead is still very difficult. Ibtisam's son Mohammed needs an urgent surgery to try to save his leg, and her daughter Nour needs ongoing medical care and a nutritious diet to live with her heart condition. Ibtisam herself is also still trying to treat severe back pain after a herniated disc.

In addition to all of this, the costs to travel back to their home in the north of Gaza are extremely high. Due to having multiple disabled individuals in their party, traveling by foot is impossible. This means they will have to hire a transport, which will cost thousands. The fact that disabled people are being exploited with such exorbitant prices is disappointing, but there is nothing we can do right now.

To meet the family's needs and arrange safe and accessible transportation, we will need about $6000 USD (about $8,619) CAD. We will raise it increments of $1,000 USD or $1,440 CAD.

Without your support, Ibtisam and her family are stranded in central Gaza, with no way to get home. They still have no income, and likely will not for some time. They should not be forced to remain in displacement, living in limbo on the streets of central Gaza, because of disability.

After an extremely exhausting journey, most of the family was able to make it back home to north Gaza. However, Noha broke her leg on the way due to the hazardous conditions. She was stranded in the street for days before finally being able to receive treatment and continue her journey.

Unfortunately, Noha’s phone was broken soon after. Her phone is extremely vital for communication with family and friends both inside and outside of Gaza. As of now, she is only able to reach others by borrowing a friend’s phone for a few minutes few days.

Due to the devastation and deprivation of the IOF attack, replacement phones are extremely expensive. The family urgently needs $1000 USD (about $1,443 CAD) to repair or replace Noha’s phone so they can regain contact with the rest of the world. They will not be able to raise funds to repair their severely damaged home without a working phone!

UPDATE: NEW LINK! Yahya and his family were displaced by the IOF, and are currently residing in Deir al-Balah, south-central Gaza.

Life as displaced Gazans was already extremely difficult for them. Food is very scarce, and their living conditions leave them exposed to the elements. Here is the frequent condition of their tent now that the winter rains have come:

Then, Yahya’s father was injured. Some cartilage was damaged in his neck, and doctors say he requires IMMEDIATE surgery to avoid permanent paralysis.

Yahya and his family previously had another campaign, but it was suddenly shut down by GFM with no explanation. They have created a new one, but it has EXTREMELY LOW FUNDS.

The surgery is a stifling €15,000 euros (about $15,729 USD). Yahya and his family have no hope of paying for it without your help.

I am currently watching an elderly loved one lose their mobility, and it is an extremely heartbreaking and isolating situation. I cannot imagine what Yahya and his family are going through, having no social or financial support and only minimal medical care.

Major update on Yahya’s little brother Omar

As discussed previously, Omar remains hospitalized with severe burns. You all raised €700 EUR to attain burn ointment for the immediate treatment of his wounds. Thank you.

Unfortunately, this is just the beginning of Omar’s treatment journey.

At just 7 years old, little Omar has third-degree burns over much of his small body due to the IOF attack. The burns are severe in that they burned through his skin, through his ligaments and muscles, and down to his very bones. To say this little boy is in constant, excruciating pain would be a gross understatement.

The pain is not his only problem. The damage to his skin is so severe that his body is unable to heal itself. He requires a skin graft in order to transplant new skin that will be able to regrow.

Without this, Omar’s extensive wounds will remain exposed for a very, very long time. This makes him extremely vulnerable to a catastrophic infection, and his body will be unable to fight it off. Infections are widespread in Gaza right now due to the IOF’s destruction of sanitation infrastructure and the scarcity of antibiotics and other medicines.

This means that at virtually any time, Omar could contract an infection and die. He URGENTLY needs this skin graft so he can finally start to heal!

Please share the campaign widely, donate if you can, and share Omar’s story with your friends and loved ones in real life!! A little boy’s life is at stake!!

Omar’s brothers spoke with the hospital billing department today. The brothers were told that if they could not pay the lump sum $3,000 USD, they could utilize a payment plan: $750 USD/month for 4 months. However, the hospital will not perform the operation until 2 months or 50% of the bill is paid.

This lowers our temporary goal significantly. Instead of $3,000 USD, the sum required for little Omar to receive his skin graft is $1,500 USD, with a following $1,500 in the subsequent months.

Since the previous post was made, we have raised €443 EUR. This means we still need to raise €1,057 EUR (about $1,110 USD).
