if i wrote a manifesto, it would be this:
often i've seen butches, mascs, and other gender nonconforming lesbians complaining about how cis femmes treat them. it causes tension in our community, but fear not, for i have seen the golden path, the startling revelation that the true answer is to get really into dating femme lesbian trans women.
tired of femmes treating you like a man? trans women can empathize with that, many of us spend our lives forced into "male" roles we find uncomfortable!
need a partner who understands how being visibly queer can be an emotionally complex and often terrifying experience? trans gals know that struggle and can relate to you!
i'm not saying we're perfect, after all most of us are deeply traumatized. but the real fact of the matter is we share a struggle, and i think if we were treated with the same consideration in the dating pool as cis femmes you might find that we align perfectly with one another.
if you still won't date femmes though, i understand. butch trans women are amazing though, please consider them too.
