Perhaps it's trauma. Perhaps it's to do with pain. Perhaps they simply keep getting too hot or all cold. But something is keeping them from a proper rest.

Luckily, you're there. You're there, always there, when they ask you to be (or when they don't). You're beside them, kissing them where you know they like it most, letting them use your body as a plush, and rubbing slow, gentle circles into their backs to ease tensions.

Your F/O can finally sleep, but only because of you. Whatever would they do, if you weren't there for them?

Selfshipping is for everyone.

It's for the fat folk, the round and the soft, the large and the bulky, it's for the fat folk who can't find proper clothes in any store. It's for the fat folk who need their friends to walk slower for them when they go somewhere. It's for the fat folk who get bombarded with fatphobia and diet culture every day.

It's for the black folk, the "scary and rude", the "too sexual and overbearing", it's for the black folk who had to teach themselves to love their bigger noses. It's for the black folk who spent too long mistreating their hair because black hair was considered "unsightly" or "improper". It's for the black folk who are darker than most are comfortable with. It's for the black folk who put up with the constant racism of the day.

It's for the trans folk, the trans women and men, the ones that identify outside the binary, it's for the trans folk without dysphoria. It's for the trans folk with dysphoria. It's for the trans folk who draw their sonas and OCs as their ideal selves. It's for the trans folk who don't plan to transition at all. It's for the trans folk who live under the constant siege of hatred every day.

It's for the therians, the otherkin, the chronically sick, the disabled, the kinky and the "degenerate", it's for all of society's "rejects" and "misfits".

Selfshipping is for you. And your F/O? Loves you for who you are.

Hey.

Having a wedding with your F/O isn't "cringe". It isn't "doing too much". It isn't "desperate" and it isn't "delusional".

Buying or making a beautiful cake, getting wedding attire either on a budget or nice and fancy, getting a cute area you always wanted to get married in, or getting rings or bands or anything else- this is all beautiful. It's all a sign of the pure love you feel for your F/O. And there's nothing wrong with that.

And if people have a problem with it? If they tease you, or try and harass you into finding "and actual partner"? Then its their loss; looks like they aren't invited to the wedding.

we're a military couple, we both work for an international organization. He's a SAS soldier while I work in cybersecurity and intel. We're very devoted to each other despite the fact we're often separated because of his deployments. We're not even of the same nationality, i'm just stationed in the UK because of work and we met there ^-^

I think his only canon dislikes is dogs lmao. As for likes, a bit stereotypical but whisky lmao, we see him drink some in a cinematic. Obviously he loves his job more than anything too, his mates and me <3

Me and Black hat met when I visited his organization, being the Queen of Childfreeland and all, (My SI is Queen Snowstorm) and I needed to get rid of these heroes called “The cosmo team” Because they kept trying to steal all my country’s data. Once that was done we fell in love and He is now my General. We don’t plan on Marriage or Children anytime soon though.

A private day at the beach!

All that beach fun with no kids, loud couples, or partying teens? Heavenly! You can feel the sun on your skin and the waves at your feet with no worries of being interrupted! It's just you and him, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

There's lots to do anyway! Collect some shells, get creative and build some astounding sand sculpture, and of course, a romantic swim and cuddle together session!

At the end of the day, you two can have a slow, sweet swim together, perhaps, the sky behind you getting pink and the water darkening. Sharing a kiss or two as the water holds you both and laying on his chest. If you want, that is!

I am the one who walks in to leave dinner for him, because lord knows he won't stop working. I am the one who reheats his coffee when he is asleep at his desk. I am the one who straightens his tie when he needs to get to work, and whose lap he falls asleep on when he is exhausted after a case. I am the one he comes home to and holds tightly, pecking kisses when he was on a dangerous case and he was afraid he wouldn't come home. But I have dinner ready 😌

A visit to a cute little diner!

Almond is always under some stress, some exhaustion, and you're always the one helping him, looking after him, your selflessness is both a source of great admiration and embarrassment for him. He has you looking after him so much, and while you like to do it.. he can't help but get sheepish. He's a grown man, relying on you so much! Isn't that a bit embarrassing? He had to thank you properly at least!

So, it was a bit of a surprise when he came home one day to tell you he had a plan for you. It wasn't anything extravagant, of course, but you knew it'd be from the heart. The diner is a quaint little place, lively and small, and you get to sit upon the leather surface of the booth's seats and eat a nice filling meal while you spend your time with him. Even now he's tired, and even now, you're putting the condiments and salt on his meal when he looks like he's about to zone out, (which doesn't help his internal embarrassment, but he appreciates it!) and even now, he softly tells you his worries as he takes your hand across the table to kiss your knuckles.

Cecil meets my S/I under bad circumstances, as her difficult to control superpowers turn her into a monster that he's set on stopping. She goes to him voluntarily to try and get help, and he attempts to use her powers for good. Eventually she goes from a mysterious monster to one of his greatest assets (and also his girlfriend).

Cecil is a very busy man, as he's basically in charge of defending the entire world from supernatural threats coming from both inside and outside the planet. His schedule and his position at the top makes it difficult to find time for my S/I, or even acknowledge that she's his girlfriend since he doesn't want to put her in harm's way. She still loves every minute they spend together, and would literally die for him in her monster form (it's okay, she'll get better then lol)

A sit-down in his office!

It's a boring choice, but, he's doing his best! You of all people know how overworked and busy he is, he doesn't have the time for extravagant and romantic gestures, even if he wishes to do so badly.. but it doesn't need to be perfect, does it? Any moment you two spend together is as precious as life itself.

He'd make sure you're comfortable, giving you some time alone with him, even if it's a miniscule amount. Though his time and attention is limited, he made sure you had the basics you deserve: your favorite candies from the most expensive brand, your favorite flower or plant, and a handwritten letter, telling you how much he loves you, and a sweet kiss and embrace before you go.

It's hard to read his little letter, believe it or not, the lines are sloppy and the ink is a bit smudged.. but you get why- he had to make it so quick, to have it in time while he hurries along protecting the world. Not just the world in a literal sense, but you, his personal world. It's rough going, but those tiny moments and actions.. they're worth it, aren't they?

Can I please have a date for Hop and I?

UMMM. So we’re childhood friends. I was a kid when I moved into the house next door and we immediately became friends (luckily, since we were the only two kids nearby where we lived). We went on our journeys together and helped each other learn and grow. Eventually, he decided to become a professor while I stayed hard with battling, continuing to hold my champion title. So it’s basically athlete x scholar (peak dynamic).

I like battling and chatting and just hanging around and also doing big exciting things. I also love anything that gives me an adrenaline rush, even though I get super nervous beforehand.

Hop also likes battling and chatting, but he enjoys going out for even little things rather than staying inside. He also likes to study things (and it’s easy to study Pokémon when I am very charismatic to them). Hop gets a little too scared to do the crazy feats I enjoy sometimes, but he’s always there to watch (or join me if I seem super nervous, and then we’re both scared shitless AHAHAHA).

A picnic to the Slumbering Weald!

It seems like a bit of a boring spot, but it's right off Postwick where you two first laid eyes on eachother, and right where your journeys truly began! It's nostalgic, coming back to such a spot, looking back on how much you two have changed and accomplished in all the time you've taken away from it.. it's not as scary as it once was, is it?

Besides, there's lots of Pokemon! Even now, Hop can still continue his research, with the abundance of Pokemon around! Perhaps you'll meet some ones flying by the tree branches, or some paddling in the river, or maybe even notice some new Pokemon moving on in! Pokemon drawn in by you would be naturally curious from your charisma, and would make lovely guests for Hop and you to include in your little eat and talk!

Maybe after you two are full and packed up, a trip further in to the altar of Zacian and Zamazenta would be worth it. To feel that sun coming down while you two sit together in front of the altar.. perhaps sharing a kiss and a laugh or two.

This is Boone! We have a bit of a whirlwind romance lol— I only met him this summer, but already he’s my ride or die. We storm chase together, and in-universe he’s my best friend. As for likes and dislikes hmm.. we both love the outdoors, and good food, and classic rock, but I don’t like the cold and he doesn’t like having to dress up fancy :P

A campsite deep in a mountain!

A relationship still in it's infancy is a great time to do things with eachother, so a planned camping trip somewhere surrounded by the great outdoors would be a perfect way to spend that time! After all, what's cozier than sitting side to side, leaned into eachother, by a big blazing fire? The answer is, clearly, when you add amazing grilled and prepped food and the background song of your favorite bands!

All alone together in a place like that can be pretty freaky, but why even worry when you two could play, dance, and laugh with the music well into when the stars blanket the world around you? It's like a sleepover with friends, spending all that time letting loose! Not to mention, no judgemental eyes, unless you count a few squirrels! No need for tight fitting, stuffy formalwear and table manners!

It could get chilly up in that mountain, but he'd probably jump at the chance to hold you and look into the wisp of the campfire's flames as he warms you, wouldn't he?

A private hotel suite!

It's plain, but perfect! A soldier's life is pretty stressful, as you (of all people) definitely know. So on those rare nights where the stars have aligned and you're both granted time to see eachother in person again, he'd want to spend his time with you alone! No loud yapping dogs in a park, or others causing a ruckus in a restaurant, just you and him, in a beautiful room, together.

Silk duvets and cozy, fancy lamps can't compare to the warmth of the air around you two, where you both sit at the bed, in eachother's arms, and talk. Perhaps he has a lot to tell you about something his pals did (who, also, probably influenced his decision, given he maybe asked them what'd be a satisfying date when you guys met up again. ~Guy talk~ if you will, asking this and that on what eachother think for impressing their missus.), or how work's coming, or maybe what he wants to do with you tonight. Whatever you two speak of before the silence of sleep, he'll make sure you're spoiled with a good meal, good company, and a beautiful night after so long apart!

And, well, he'd get some Grade A whiskey and perhaps some wine for himself.. unless you'd like to share in some way, of course! He'd give you the whole order if you wish.. just let him have a glass, alright?

Selfshippers who take the matters into their own hands to try and make something for their F/Os are so resilient, strong, and creative, taking so much precious time out of a day to spend creating for your F/O! Then again, that time is never wasted on them is it?

Selfshippers who spend long times scouring the net to find the perfect plushie, pin, keychain, etc creator and artists to help them make their custom merch dreams come true are also just as dedicated, just as in love, and just as amazing and creative!

And selfshippers who don't have the time, the money, the resources, or even just the focus or patience to make their own merch or have it custom made? You are just as perfect as the others. Even if you can't scratch an itch to prove your love with custom or official merch, you're showing your love for your F/O spectacularly already!
