Muir's transformation was a very unpleasant one. The transformation itself left him partially blind due to the sudden rapid growth of his head, which damaged his eyes.

Despite growing additional eyes, none of them are fully functional; they lack pupils and are only able to detect movement based on light. Although all of his eyes are very glossy, his only good eye is his right, which still retains a bit of the pupil. Since the right side of his face still looks like him, you can still see quite a bit of his humanity in this eye. When he senses movement, he'll naturally turn his good eye in its direction to enhance the silhouette as seen by his other eyes.

Being blind forces him to use what's left of his ears. Muir's transformation left him with highly sensitive and acute hearing, but not without causing him pain. He can hear the faintest sound such as a heartbeat, but sudden loud noises might cause him to react negatively due to the abrupt pain they cause him.
