My overly detailed headcanon about this: She's an actress CC met at casting and they are fuckbuddies (which is a little narcissistic of them but super hot). CC sent her to mess with Niles, which is why she's wearing the necklace CC wore in Pen Pals. She's jealous of Niles because CC is obsessed with him (but won't admit it) and seduces him to taunt CC.

Thanks for all the recommendations!! Fortunately, I've been suffering from insomnia lately and have made good progress with the suggested reading. I think this ship has a lot of potential and will continue investigating. (seriously, the one where CC takes off her tie...).
