Also a little theory, that adult Cheng Xiaoshi was the one who called the police to rescue kid lu guang when he was about to get beaten up by his step father. Then CXS stood all the night, by baby guang's side, from afar, making sure at least he was safe. He knew that his kid self won't come there as promised. So when the second night came Cheng Xiaoshi called the police again and they took lu guang away.

He thought maybe Lu Guang would be safe there but that didn't turn out that way did it?
