[120517] holiday vlive
cclucky:
it’s been a while since they’ve been able to broadcast something for their fan, and lucky feels rather guilty, and not to mention nervous, because it’s been long enough since their last release that he frets about the fans feeling put off, or worse, worried about their well-being. lucky stays as active as he can on their fancafe but it’s hard to keep them satisfied with day-to-day updates when all he can really post about is the weather, what songs he’s listening to, what kind of dinner minhyun made for them that night, etc; but it’s not the same. as such, he’s super excited when he gets the green light from the company to go ahead with a holiday-themed vlive with minhyun.
so far, he’s having fun. he finds it easy to relax and just be himself when he’s streaming with minhyun, despite the thousands of people watching; he likes how talkative and cheerful minhyun becomes, too, even though he knows it’s just for the fans – in a way, doing the vlive is as much of a present for him as it is for the fans.
check at your feet! kenta blinks a few times, smiling and giving thanks to the unnamed fan before looking down and moving his legs over to see that, indeed, the packet of flavouring is on the floor. he laughs lightly, blonde head ducking under the table as he picks up the packet. “well, that’s not very lucky of me-” a double meaning – to the fans, it’s just a play-on-words about his name, nothing more. when he returns on camera, he’s grinning ( he apparently never gets tired of luck-based jokes, despite making them almost daily ) as he rips the top of the packet off perfectly, reaching in front of minhyun to dust the powder into the bowl. “it smells so good. really spicy though..” some of the dust is left floating in the air, ending up in his nose. without much warning, lucky sneezes – thankfully, he’s able to cover his mouth with his sneeze in time, but he still looks a bit bewildered, and then embarrassed. “ah, sorry! i’m so rude–”
sometimes minhyun was jealous of how naturally this all came to lucky. communicating with fans, being enthusiastic about everything, happiness shooting out from every single one of his pores. from the very beginning, minhyun preferred being close to kenta during filming, because their bond allowed him to steal just a little bit of that happiness and make it his own. it made him feel much lighter, focused on the present rather than a gloomier past. a past where he didn’t have lucky to cast sunlight all over his world.
“will you ever live up to your name?” minhyun teased, knowing full well that he was, in fact, very worthy of that title. way more than the fans would ever suspect. the leader watched him closely as he put the powder in, inhaling the delicious yet spicy smell that made his stomach growl in anticipation. “you can handle spicy just fine,” he reminded him, clearly not meaning anything behind it other than its literal sense. “bless you!” was minhyun’s first reflex after lucky’s loud sneeze resonated across the room, right before he started laughing. his eyes scanned the comments as he grabbed a pair of chopsticks. “they’re saying spicy noodles isn’t really christmas related... sorry everyone, but it’s all that was left after daehwi and seonho went first.” he shot a knowing glance at lucky, before digging into the bowl and slurping on the noodles.
