(( dumb headcanon: even though downbeat hates nicknames, you might hear her call headcount “sonic” or even “hedgie” on occasion :’)

this stems from the whole heads/tails dichotomy they’ve got going on, actually. since headcount’s the head of the combiner, she considers downbeat the “tails” and sometimes jokingly calls her that - but ever since they heard about sonic the hedgehog on earth, all she can think about is the orange fox with three tails, see. and downbeat hates that. but she can’t avoid it completely when they combine into countdown, in the sense that the thought of “sonic” and “tails” kinda bled into her mind too. and once in a while she’ll accidentally call headcount “hedgie” because, well, if they were swapped, that’s what headcount would call headcount, if that makes any sense. and it’s caused many an embarrassed facepalm and responding gigglesnort.
