hello peeps! sadly enough, my time here has come to an end. it was fun while it lasted and i’m really glad i had the opportunity to be a part of such a welcoming rp group. also, please do make sure to unfollow! thanks for the wonderful experience everyone ; u;
snow — a drabble of our characters building a snowman together!
minhyuk, as far as hyunwoo (or anyone really) can tell, is bursting with positive energy due to all of the snow that fell from the sky last night. he banged loudly on his front door that morning, urging him to dress warmly because snow days shouldn’t be wasted indoors!
“did you bring the carrot and the scarf?”
“of course i did.”
“great! let’s get started. i want to make the best snowman in busan! you make the middle part, okay?”
he obeys the other’s orders, piling large amounts of snow together and ultimately forming a large, white sphere shape with gloved hands that happen to be chilly despite being guarded with leather. the thought of going back inside to have a hot cup of coffee is tempting, but seeing his friend smile with glee is something that can’t be passed up.
“hyunnie, i’m done with the bottom! put the part you made on top please ~”
hyunwoo shakes his head before grinning and rolling the gigantic snowball over. whatever minhyuk commands, he does.
wooseok rarely ever had time to go to the beach, he had been so excited when one of his harmony hyungs offered to bring him. giddy, he had been waiting the entire week when he could finally don himself in his new rashguard and his swim shorts. now, it was friday, the sunday shining brightly and wooseok had just gotten off the bus. shyly, he moved along through the crowd, feeling a little revealed, even though the rashguard was tight on his body, wooseok was still a little shy about showing himself off.
quickly, he reached into backpack, pulling out his cellphone and immediately began texting hyunwoo.
to: hyunwoo hyung!!
from: wooseokie
hyung!! i’m here!!! i’m going to get something to drink, i’ll meet you at the convenience store across the beach!
now that his text message was sent, wooseok quickly made his way to the cool store, hoping to find himself some nice chilled ice tea and hopefully get something as well for his hyung.
if there was anything that he loved more than cappuccino and his family, it would be team harmony. the members are extremely close to his heart and even if he hadn’t been assigned co-leader, he’d still risk anything for them. and maybe, just maybe, he could be a little biased towards wooseok, being that he’s the youngest out of the group of magical heroes. inviting the boy out to the beach was a reward for working so hard the past couple of days.
the bus travelling to the beach halted in its tracks, the driver pulling the lever that opens the doors to allow people to get off. hyunwoo practically leaps out of there with his beach bag slung over a shoulder, excitement taking over. he felt the inside of his left pocket buzz and swiftly took his cellphone out. wooseok seemed to have beat him and was waiting at a nearby store. running seemed appropriate at that point. it didn't take long to reach and enter the place.
"wooseokie!" hyunwoo called out when the younger was spotted, a huge grin forming on his face. "did you get what you wanted? i'll pay if you haven't already!"
cook — drabble of our characters cooking together!
“when you invited me over for dinner, i didn’t expect to have to help.”
“lending a hand once in a while won’t kill you. now keep slicing those vegetables or there’ll be no japchae for you!”
the younger only grunts in response while continuing to create loud chopping sounds on the cutting board. hyunwoo laughs under his breath, walking over to the sink to drain the starch noodles. steam rises as the boiling water and noodles are poured into the strainer. he then quickly relocates them into a metal bowl. cooking has never been one of his strong points, but he knows enough to survive on his own.
“i’m going to stir fry the veggies now. hand me a pan and some oil, will you?” ricky speaks up from behind.
“mhm. watch me for a sec, yeah? are you paying attention–”
“get on with it already, sheesh.”
hyunwoo opens one of the bottom cabinet, revealing a stack of pots and pans. he takes one out, hands it over to ricky, and then goes over to the stand next to him, arm reaching up to open the top cupboard where the spices and oils are.
“next time you come to make dinner with me, you already know where the things are.” he grins, handing over the bottle of oil to the red head.
“who ever said i’m returning,” ricky scoffs before switching on the stove. “this japchae might not even turn out good. if i get food poisoning, i’ll have no choice but to hurt you.”
“are you forgetting that you’re also doing the cooking here– anyway, no one has ever gotten sick from eating my food so if anything, it’ll be your fault, young sir.”
“shut up before i slam this pan in your face.”
“that’s mean. i still love you though.”
it takes over an hour and thirty minutes to finish the goddamn japchae because the two keep going at it, however when it’s done, the two end up noisily chowing it down on the couch.
hyunwoo swears it’s the best he’s had in a while. ricky doesn’t say it aloud, but he agrees. maybe cooking with the older wasn’t such a bad experience after all.
HOW TO PLAY ! send me one (or more) of the words below and i’ll write the corresponding drabble for our muses! please be specific as to who should be doing the action, unless you’d rather leave it to me to decide. remember the rp karma: if you want to receive, then send!
staff note: whether we’ll have more memes in the future or not is up to you guys now. make sure to send as many as possible, and that includes checking back after a day or two to see if we have any late rebloggers. if you hit ask limit, you can always use the submit function instead. do your best to make everyone feel included! if we get more complaints of muses feeling left out because of memes, we might decide to forbid them for the foreseeably future. we really love memes, though, so please don’t make us do that!
p.s make sure not to send meme prompts to the main!
sunrise bedtimes and sleeping well into the afternoon was behaviour typical for sunyoung. it would have been nearly illogical for the moon card to have been anything but nocturnal after all. thus, there were few things in life that could motivate her to overcome her night owl instincts–but if ever listed, the majority of the exceptions would be breeds of animals.
especially fluffy animals.
sunyoung arrives two hours prior to the shelter’s opening, practically vibrating with excitement for what’s to come. along with her affinity with the moon came a penchant for water and so, spending an entire day bathing and grooming cute feline and canine friends was just a step below nirvana. it takes a bit of time to set out all the tubs and their respective equipment. however, with aid of the other volunteers, it didn’t take long for sunyoung to be elbows deep in water, washing her shaggy, dark furred friend.
“sirius, behave,” she sighs, though the smile on her face betrays her exasperated tone though. “ah, stop splashing!”
her arms lift up instinctively to shield her face from the restless dog–there’s a bit of grey in his fur, but he was still a disobedient but ever so endearing marauder. at the familiar sound of her best friend’s voice, sunyoung looks over her shoulder with a smile though it immediately dissipates once she feels her top and apron soaked by one of sirius’ waves.
seeing her continue to struggle at the hands (paws?) of sirius the shaggy dog makes hyunwoo snicker in amusement. he strides on over to the pair, warmly cooing at the thrilled, woolly animal before sinking onto his knees beside sunyoung. sirius’ excitement causes water to splash onto them both, but that’s a part of the job and he loves every second of it.
“try to calm down, buddy. we gotta finish getting you all cleaned up,” he says, patting the damp fur on top of the dog’s head. “i’ll hold him down so you can finish scrubbing off what’s left of the dirt.” he beams at his best friend while already clutching sirius with enough force that doesn’t cause any discomfort. he would like to to commend whoever named him because all he can think about is sirius black from the beloved harry potter series that is held close to his heart.
“you seem to have came early today. couldn’t wait to have at it, huh?”
for as long as they’ve known one another, the male knows that anything involving animals causes sunyoung to drop everything she’s doing. it doesn’t matter what it is that’s keeping her occupied; she’ll go flying out of the door in a split second just at the mention of cute creatures that coexist with the human species. though, maybe that’s the reason why they get along so well. their love for animals is greater than anything.
the other side of the chess board is pitch black. no amount of squinting allows hyunwoo to catch a glimpse of what lays within the darkness.
a force pushes him a square forward, an escaping yelp echoing throughout the noose. fear kicks in, the insides of his body churning anxiously.
something, no, someone, shifts, shadow casting over the dark brown chess board square ahead of him. the slouching figure comes closer, closer—
the first physical characteristic he notices is the detached, bloody jaw dangling down the side of what used to be the zombie-like being’s face. it growls menacingly when it ultimately catches sight of fresh meat. hyunwoo stumbles back, eyes widening in horror and panic bubbling underneath as he remembers the blood resting on his neck. the corpse slowly drags itself nearer, its snarling sounding more vicious than before.
two more come out from within the shadows to join the first, one’s eye popped out while the other’s skin around the mouth area is missing, showing a clear view of its red stained gums and teeth.
this is it, the apocalypse
he begins to shake uncontrollably and attempts to stabilize himself by clutching his weapon with both hands. black ops and every other source of media involving the undead has officially screwed him over. who in their right mind thought it was a brilliant idea to create the image of moving dead people that feed off the flesh of the living?
“breathe, breathe, breathe--” if a move isn’t made soon, he’s going to be eaten for lunch. “all i have to do is stab the hell out of their brains. that’s fine, i can do that.”
it takes a minute to muster up courage, all trembling ceasing. this is going to end up so bloody messy that he’ll have to end up buying a new white shirt for his outfit, but that’s something he can think about later. right now, the goal is to send these things back to where they came from, locate his friends, and find a way out.
taking one last deep breath, the male lifts his halberd before charging towards the fear that occasionally haunts his dreams.
splat!
the sharp end of the blade digs deeply into zombie #1′s brain, twisting around for good measure before pulling out. chunks of flesh fly everywhere, landing either on the floor or on him. the being falls forward, concluding its demise. the other two attempt to pick up their pace, hands reaching out to claw whatever they can.
woosh!
the second one’s scalp is shaven off in a blink of an eye. hyunwoo then decides to slice the undead person into two. guts gush out of the inanimate body, and lord does puking sound good right about now.
the same is done to the last zombie standing. clumps of intestines are everywhere while the stench is beyond awful. his weapon is covered in blood, and of course, so is he. thinking that the nightmare is over with, hyunwoo decides to run off
that is, until a force doesn’t allow him to leave.
“what the hell? i’m done here, asshole!”
“nuh uh uh, young shownu. not quite yet,” a sinister voice speaks up. “those closest to your heart haven’t had their fun yet.”
“what’s that supposed to mean,” he growls angrily, his patience already below zero. “stop fucking around, you piece of shit!”
“son family, you can come out now. your son and big brother awaits you ~”
no no no no no no no please not them please--
harsh, heavy moans and the sound of dragging feet are heard from behind. his fist is clenched so tight that his knuckles turn as white as the snow that falls during winter. he’s too frightened to turn around, knowing that if he does, he has to kill. the hanged man has hit him where it hurts most, and it’s feeling difficult to even breathe.
“i advise you to stand your ground if you want to get out of here. have fun ~” the voice says before vanishing completely.
hyunwoo turns around, tears already sliding down his cheeks. his family is rotting away, skin peeling off from every part of their bodies. the sight makes him sick to his stomach and he hunches down to his knees, tears falling faster than ever.
four silhouettes surround him, the moaning increasing in volume. he stays in the position he’s in, still crying his eyes out. he’s so pathetic, it’s pitiful.
they’re not real. finish them before your real family ends up weeping at your funeral. is that what you want?
“uhhhhhh,” the moans drag on and he’s still not moving. his conscious is screaming at him to fight.
he blows his nose with his blood stained shirt, stands up, and stares into the identical faces of his parents and younger brothers with teary eyes. “i’m sorry. i love you all the most.”
slash!
the halberd swiftly gashes through their brains all at once. the bodies topple backwards, and hyunwoo dashes off the chess board without looking back.
the journey to the staircase isn’t difficult as the only thing keeping him motivated is seeing that his loved ones are fine. some heroes gasp due to all the blood residing on him, that and the tear stains on his face, but he honestly isn’t fazed. his eyes search around for team harmony members and sunyoung, whom he’s praying for the most because she’s a human with no powers whatsoever. (that’s what she wants him to believe)
the fact that he doesn’t spot either makes him anxious until a weight is on his back. he turns his head to the side, coming face to face with his best friend.
“surprised to see me?” she weakly asks, choosing to ignore the stench coming from his clothes. she wants to know what happened with him, he can tell. however, the remaining questions can come later.
“take us home, oppa.”
and so, he runs up the staircase because their life depends on it. they almost don’t make it to the other side of the portal, but thankfully, his choice of weapon is great for skipping steps.
Being more perceptive that what people actually might give him credit for, the president spots the obvious signs of fatigue in his teammate even before the other drops to the floor. Concern flashes evidently in his eyes but he stays silent; while Kihyun prefers to coddle the children with his gentle motherly instincts in reference to his role as the vice president of the league, Jaebum is the one that hands out the tough love. He lets his boys lead their own courses but remains firmly behind them, ready to take the reigns whenever they falter in their step or simply need a break.
“Mommy Kihyun would kill me if he could see the two of us right now. He’d definitely say that I wasn’t doing my job of taking care of you.” He first makes sure that Hyunwoo is doing perfectly okay, albeit the panting which is an obvious sign of tiredness, before jogging to the bench at the end of the training room where their water jugs are at.
The jog back to the middle of the room doesn’t take long at all and soon, he’s seated beside Hyunwoo on the floor as they both take long gulps of their water. For a few minutes, it’s only the sound of them trying to catch their breathing that fills the room until he finally finds it in himself to break the silence. “So, let me have it. Anything on your mind?”
“that’s hilarious considering how he becomes a sarcastic butthole when we hang out together,” he wheezes, pushing himself to sit up. kihyun openly caring? when pigs fly. he takes the jug of water from jaebum, muttering a quick thanks before chugging it down. it’s a miracle that he doesn’t choke from drinking too quickly. hyunwoo hasn’t felt such exhaustion in weeks and would love to curl up in a ball to take a nap. sadly enough, it’s not an appropriate time for some good shut-eye.
“i--” sighing, he leans back with arms supporting his weight. “sometimes i question if i’m fit truly for being a magical hero, y’know? the fighting, the leading.. no matter how much thought and effort i put into making sure my team members head in the right direction, i almost always end up feeling... incompetent.”
a weight seems to be lifted after expressing the emotions he’s been having for the longest period of time. being relied on is hyunwoo’s specialty, but when it’s the other way around, choosing to take the burden by himself is what the male chooses to do. others have their own problems, the mind constantly says.
