âAs far as Quidditch goes, that wasnât a bad match to watch. It might even have been worth getting my hair wet for.âÂ
Double Potions || Cee & Reg
âI.. would not have thought so. I think it would be best to not remind her, and hope that she forgets the entire thing.â He was attempting to be kind, though he was not sure that Cecilia would take it as such.
âI was not certain that you would want to hear from me.â He was snippy, for all that he was trying to not be defensive. But then he didnât understand why he was the one who was supposed to have owled her, when he still thought she had been in the wrong. âI... have not decided yet. I do not know what to do at all, actually. I only thought that I should see how you were.â
âAlright.â [Cee replied in a very subdued and quiet tone. There was nothing further she could really add. The odds of Walburga Black liking her were purely based on her merit alone -- and what with the display sheâd put on at the Christmas Eve Ball, Cecilia had hammered the last nail in that particular coffin. It probably was best just to hope that the Black matriarch would forget the entire thing -- though astronomically unlikely, too]Â
[She took a momentary pause, conceding slightly to his salient point] âNot at first...  I suppose. I was awfully mad. But then not long afterwards, of course. I always want to hear from you.â [She chanced a look at him, a small flicker of hope igniting within her. Sheâd assumed that this was the end; that he was being civil and gentlemanly by ending things in-person rather using the impersonal on-parchment approach. But it didnât seem as though Regulus really wanted to be done with it all -- heâd just end it straight away wouldnât he, if that were the case? -- Cecilia reasoned. She shifted slightly, her heart racing -- Merlin, but now sheâd have to fight tooth and nail to get him back. It would be a challenge to convince him but Cee, like any good Gryffindor, enjoyed challenges] âIâm okay.â [She paused before adding-] âI miss you, though.â [-and she placed an added emphasis on âmissâ, whilst also biting down on the edge of her lip and gazing up at him in a seductive manner from underneath her eyelashes -- just so he definitely knew what it was, exactly, that she missed]
Er⊠Determined, maybe?  Put⊠togetherâŠ?  [Oh, Merlin, he was struggling.  All heâd wanted to do was check on his fellow Gryffindor, now he was getting stepped backwards and tripping over his damn feet.]  Sorry, I feel a bit - er, cornered, here, werenât you on the way to Divination?  [He shrugged, rubbing the back of his neck as he glanced around - mostly for a way out, truth be told.  Still, he let out a soft laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation, shaking his head.]  Well!  One hears rumors, I suppose, but I try not to put too much stock in those.  Break ups and all that, especially when theyâre none of my business.
âDetermined? Put together?â [Cee wrinkled her nose -- then widened her (already extremely wide) eyes exponentially, as though she was on the verge of tears] âHave I done something to you, Remus? Why would choose, out of all the adjectives and similes out there, âput togetherâ as a compliment? Donât you like me? Not even a little?â [She was having far too much fun teasing Remus and now that heâd admitted he felt cornered (which was a mistake on his part -- you never admitted weakness outloud, honestly!), she couldnât very well allow her entertainment to slink off. Her gleeful expression soured slightly as he mentioned the phrase âbreak-upâ, and she quickly contradicted] âWeâre not broken up.â [She then realised how shrill and snappish she sounded -- as well as admitting that sheâd heard the same gossip too -- so she shrugged, sniffing slightly] âIâm glad you donât put stock into silly gossip, then.â
âOf course, thereâs always room at my table for you,â Rita assured her with a smiled, nodding. âQuite so, it was an enjoyable occasion to be certain. I trust yours were up to snuff?â
âYes, they were perfectly civil. As you well know.â [Cecilia replied sweetly, which seemed at odds with the undercurrent her words held. But she continued to smile angelically at Rita -- even leaning forward slightly to properly engage the Ravenclaw]Â âI have a proposition to put before you, Rita. Hedging my bets, I think youâll hear me out.â
âI have to be. Father says I must be. Diana and I bothâ she murmured with a pout, but was thankful for a friendly face. Celeste gladly accepted the magazine, flicking to the back immediately. A well manicured nail then skated down the page as she read the horoscopes. The blonde groaned. âNo. Not yet. Have you?â she asked in return. Anyone who knew Celeste knew she abhorred any kind of homework.
âTypical Uncle Atlas.â [Cecilia flashed a near identical smirk back at Celeste and watched absentmindedly as her cousin rifled through the magazine. She laughed at the blondeâs reaction to the mention of homework]Â âWell, of course. Itâs due during last period today.â [Whilst Cecilia wasnât particularly interested by studying or homework, she certainly wasnât the sort to appear in detention or get on any of the professorâs bad sides -- her homework was always completed and nothing was ever handed in late. She had an image to maintain, after all. Despite this though, she offered (as it was obvious she didnât really care about flouting school-rules, so long as it looked as though she did)] âDo you want to copy some of the answers off mine? Not all of them though, mind. We donât want to look as though weâve shared answers.â [She twirled a lock of hair around her finger, before sighing]Â âI really hate this time of year. Christmas and new yearâs is over, but itâs still cold and miserable... and Valentines is around the corner too.â

Do not be ridiculous, I am working on a Herbology essay, but it can wait. Join me, please.
âThank you.â [Cecilia replied in her saccharine voice, folding herself delicately into the open seat across from Rita and setting herself up comfortably]Â âI trust that youâre well, Rita? Did you have a pleasant winter break?â
âWhy did The Daily Prophet get rid of the horoscope section. That was my favourite part!â she pouted, flicking through the pages of the newspaper.
âYouâre actually subscribed to the Prophet? Thatâs fairly cosmopolitan of you, Celeste.â [Cee grinned, shutting her copy of Witch Weekly and pushing it towards her cousin]Â âThereâs a horoscope section at the back, in there. Itâs pretty good. But ooh! Speaking of horoscopes, have you started on the Divination homework?â
[Remus was no fool, but he was most definitely still a sixteen year old boy: Cee was smiling and, good lord, fluttering her eyelashes at him and he had to take a slight step back, just keeping up the smile he had on his face.  It helped that he was stupidly painfully head-over-heels for the most attractive person in school, sure, but Cecilia was no slouch, and she was clearly up to something.]  Oh!  Well, yâknow - you just asked if - I thought - obviously itâs not the only word Iâd use.  [He stepped back again as Cee actually moved forward this time, blinking at her and looking completely stupid, sure, but heâd asked for it as soon as heâd called after her.]  Er - everyoneâs a bit stressed, is all, from New Yearâs Eve, from what Iâve seen.  [Heâd heard about Christmas, too - that sort of thing reached everyoneâs ears eventually, after all, even if it hadnât been until Remus had returned to school and heard the gossip.  He had to try and lie, though, just in case, right?]  I⊠havenât heard anything in particular, no.
[As Remus tripped over his feet to stumble backwards, Cecilia continued advancing -- a wicked, little smirk on her face as she watched the colour in his cheeks heighten. She practically purred, looking under her eyelashes up at him]Â âOh? And what words would you use, then?â [She continued advancing, her eyes boring into him as he stuttered]Â âNo? Nothing in particular? You donât seem so sure.â

âI would think it means that either she had the elf writing replies to those she thought little ofâŠâ he paused, not meaning, really, to be cold as he knew he was about to sound. He might have still been mad at Cecilia, but he also genuinely wanted to know if they could make amends. He suspected that damaging her ego was not the way to go about it, especially considering what he had already said. â⊠Or she simply did not recognise your name.âÂ
He couldnât imagine that Walburga Black would have taken the time to send a note to Cee that was only âvagueâ if she had realised that Cecilia was the girl to cause a scene at her party.
âDo you? Because you gave off the impression that you did not really care.â He watched her for a moment before he sighed and rubbed his forehead. âI do not know where we stand, or where to go from here. You must know that everyone told me to stay away from you.â
[Cecilia had worried that it had just been wishful thinking on her behalf -- but to have her fears confirmed was extremely disheartening. She couldnât help the crestfallen expression that crept up onto her features; nothing was forgiven and the Blackâs matriarch still didnât know who she was. Fabulous. She sighed, adding in a glum voice]Â âWell. You know your Mother best. Would it be prudent of me to write again?â
âI gave off that impression?â [Cee spluttered -- if anything, Regulus âcold and aloofâ Black was the one sheâd thought couldnât care less] âI thought you didnât care. You didnât owl me once after... well, after.â [She didnât need to elaborate; in their relationship thus far there was a âbeforeâ the fight and now an âafterâ the fight periods. Her crestfallen expression returned to her features and she asked, scared of the answer] âAnd are you going to listen to them?â
Lucy Hale | Getting ready for the NYLON and BCBGenerationâs Annual Young Hollywood May Issue Event (May 12th, 2016)
[Seeing her go from annoyed to interested the moment he approached her filled him with excitement.] âYou know, I canât help but love a girl whoâs observant.â [He ever-so-subtly flexed his arms as he brushed his hand through his hair.] âNot to mention one with good taste. You know, I bet everyone walking down this hallway canât help but marvel at the two of us standing together. Look, they canât keep their eyes off of us.â
âWeâre rather unfair, arenât we? Standing in such close proximity--â [She smirked coyly up at him, twirling the end of her pony-tail]Â â--weâre going to start giving people heart-attacks. Or people will start running into the armour in the corridors, not watching where theyâre going because theyâre staring. Thereâll be a rush on the hospital wing, if weâre not careful.â
