Catch Up | Alice & Cecilia

It wasn’t therapy, or the typical therapeutic appointment that they were going to start having once a week. It seemed like every Walsh was going to be going to be her patient, after all, she was the only therapist in the town. Among the other jobs that she gave herself. The facility had been previously abandoned, but fixed up within the last year. It was very Victorian, very rich-looking. Working there had her dressing nicer, doing her hair nicer. It was part of the profession, and being professional in general. This was more of an introduction, Alice would be explaining how therapy would work. She hadn’t seen Cecilia in some time, not since Cecilia was in the hospital. They both became understandably busy. Werewolves being missing hadn’t helped that. They were back now… mostly. Being treated at the local hospital, interviewed. So the investigators could do their investigating.
Alice knew that she needed to stop darting around the subject, she needed to get to her exact point. She considered Cecilia to be a good friend of hers, despite it having been a long time since their last encounter. Blinking back to good ol’ reality, she shook her head. “I do want to catch up with you,” She says, only to continue on to a completely different subject. Sort of different? Hm. “I’d like for you to work here, at our Bureau. Scully only works here part-time. You’re young, you’re smart, and he can teach you fast.” Pausing, Alice crosses her legs. Some of her closest friends worked here. It wasn’t like she was offering a job to a complete stranger. She was trustworthy, she hired people that she trusted. She put the Bureau together in the first place. “The difference between us and the police department is: we do deeper investigating. Police departments tend to hire officers that have a background of anger issues. We hire people that are smart, who can do the work without letting anger get to their head.” Alice thinks of Dominic, who she’ll have trained not to to get angered so easily. She trusted him, though, so she trusted him with the job.
“It’s an offer. You don’t have to. I only offer the job to people I trust. That’s why there’s few of us working here.”
She sat down and listened closely to everything Alice said, nodding and such when needed. When she offered her a job, Cecilia smiled a bit. Interactions with people made her nervous a lot recently, just because anything could happen in this town. “Yeah.” She nodded, even though she was a bit unsure. It wasn’t that she was lazy, or didn’t want to work there, or anything specific. For some reason she just wasn’t sure. “I’ll think about it, if that’s okay.” Cecilia said, laughing softly. “Things are just really...weird, right now.” Her whole life was flipped upside down, and for some strange reason she hadn’t done really anything to help the missing pack members, and now she was engaged. Cecilia was someone who didn’t adapt well to change. The slightest difference made her sick to her stomach, which made her dreams of traveling the world complicated at times. It was something she struggled with that almost no one knew about. Another problem she had was keeping all of her emotions to herself. Since she was already there, she didn’t want to just up and leave after the offer.
“How have you been?” She asked her, folding her hands in her lap.
