Listening to Where I Want To Be, thinking of the day I have my own studio. Cabinets and shelves filled to the brim with all my trinkets and supplies…. big beautiful windows…. wide open with spring air kissing my face. Noticing joy. And making room for joy to perch or curl up or dance or expand like clouds. As I burn my favorite incense and observe the smoke swirl around the room. My precious souvenirs and posters all over my walls.
I plan to invest in a good retro portable boombox for the days I don’t want to play vinyl, as I’m getting older… the more I realize my soul is always yearning for physical media, there’s no better feeling than putting on an album you love and walking away with zero inconveniences. I recently bought a couple of UK garage vinyls and the individual that sold me them said they were at some point staples for him and his mates sets. After hearing that I knew every single time I put them on… I’ll have a whole movie playing in my mind. I love having a ginormous imagination.
On my short trip to SD— I was reminded how beautiful it is to be near the ocean. Don’t know if I’d ever consider living out there but I could honestly see myself in Chula.
My heart is full & just when I think there’s no more room there’s always still plenty….. it doesn’t make sense but I am overflowing at times, you won’t hear me complaining though, I’d take that over vacancy any day.
I’ve been watching a lot of early 2000’s movies and they just don’t make real romcoms anymore. The soundtracks to these films are just the cherry on top. It makes me appreciate them a whole lot more and the people who took the time to fit the perfect songs to such beautiful scenes.
When I feel inspired I always run to this app, esp when it comes to writing. I come on here with one thought and the outcome is always this. This is the place I come to shed.
