Ahem, so first things first, I'll establish that indeed he produces a 'clutch' of two children (eggs) with you instead of the typical pregnancy, so you don't have to go through the whole nine months or anything. In fact, once the eggs are big enough and laid, it's HIS job to take care of them and keep them warm and dry and everything.
Something he takes very seriously, really, he will stay with those eggs 24/7 and nearly forgo eating for the entire two months till they hatch! He's super devoted to making sure everything goes right till they finally pip their soft skinned eggs- though he has to help out the slightly smaller egg, as they're a runt- and more human. So no egg tooth!
After that, it's chaos— nah, joking, he prepared everything for if his children are fully human, hybrid, or fully reptile (though thankfully neither seem to be fully reptile, so at least he won't have to be catching small bugs for them to eat). He's excited either way though, curling his tail around the 'nest' (of blankets and towels) while watching them hatch...
Guiding you on how to help, and of course, holding his two babies and observing them very closely so he can determine what exactly they'll be needing in these coming months. The runt is more human, and needs milk/formula, while the eldest is more hybrid and prefers eating just what their father does... Meat. Cooked meat that he chews up for them because duh, he isn't giving a baby with one egg tooth a piece of steak or something.
Maybe he is slightly (putting it lightly) insane and mentally unwell, but that instinct is there to be father and it fully activated the moment he found out you were pregnant. In fact he almost seems oddly sane, like he's mentally staving off the degradation of his human instincts, holding out for his family... (Too cute....)
And you know he adores his two babies, they mean the world to him, and they're so fascinating to study as well; he didn't expect himself capable of fertilization in this form so- ah, you don't like when he talks like that in front of them? They can't even understand him... He doesn't understand why you're so embarrassed, they don't know anything... No, of course he won't treat them like some sort of research subject! Not till they're older anyways- wait no no, he doesn't mean it, he's joking! Don't ban him from holding them until he apologizes, he's way too stubborn to give in so easily!
Luchino is a good papa, as much as he can be when he knows his time having any sort of sanity is limited... The transformation will make him become fully beast eventually, and he is doing his best to keep up his injections to keep it at bay (even though it's quite painful to do so and leaves him with migraines very often) because he wants to be there for this family he has created. Being selfish just isn't in the cards right now, you need him, his babies need him, he needs you all in his life...
So let him do everything he can to be a good dad, let him teach you how to feed your eldest by blending up meat for her, show you how to care for her tail, and absolutely adore his runt baby who clings to his papa and isn't frightened of him at all. Sharp teeth, claws, scales, none of it matters to them, all they know is that their father loves them so much and spends all day making sure that their hybrid features aren't hurting them or causing any issues in their development.

Just picture him taking his toddler daughter out to the forest to try to teach her how to hunt squirrels and moles, small critters she can catch with enough stealth, but she's more interested in just skittering around and falling over because she doesn't know how to balance with her tail.
Meanwhile his son LOVES going out hunting with papa and is quite good at it... Not hunting animals, but mushrooms and herbs. His nose is impeccable, and it's admirable... But Luchino ends up always having to be the one doing all the proper hunting because of that.
Luchino and his needy, clingy kids... He's spoiled them just a bit maybe, as they're always curled up next to him when it's time to sleep, they refuse to sleep in their own beds, they always want to be by their dad. After all, he's everything to them, you are too of course, but dad has a cool tail, and pointy teeth, and razor sharp claws! "He's the very coolest!"
Especially when it's raining and storming outside, they'll literally run to him and cry for him to make sure the lightning doesn't get them- despite the fact they're both indoors and perfectly dry. They need him to make a pillow for quickly so they can stay safe! You return home to find them underneath said blanket fort with him laying on his back and both of them curled around his head, clinging to him and napping while he snores the day away, tail twitching in his sleep
Though they do always prefer to sleep by you in the colder months because all of them, even Luchino, do very poorly in regulating their body temperatures... So expect to be in the middle of a cuddle pile you cannot escape from all winter long. Why? Because Luchino and his daughter are frequently napping, while you and your son tend to them. Just consider it a byproduct of their nature... And be grateful they don't go through full brumation. So kept your house warm and your loved ones warmer!
