Pharrell Is Not Very 'Happy' That Trump Played His Song After The Synagogue Shooting - Here Are The Details

Pharrell Williams sent the President a cease-and-desist letter this Monday. This came right after Donald Trump’s campaign played the song Happy during a rally that took place a few hours after the massacre at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.

‘On the day of the mass murder of 11 human beings at the hands of a deranged ‘nationalist,’ you played his song ‘Happy’ to a crowd at a political event in Indiana,’ Williams’ attorney wrote in a letter obtained by the Hollywood Reporter.

‘There was nothing ‘happy’ about the tragedy inflicted upon our country on Saturday and no permission was granted for your use of this song for this purpose.’

Someone commented the following: ‘Pharrell said “I’m not you Donald. I’m not going to Twitter. I’m going to my lawyer.” Smart man.’

Another commenter said ‘Just when we didn’t think it was possible, Pharrell got even finer 👀,’ and someone else posted ‘YES!!! Go Pharrell!!! Make your point known! This makes me HAPPY.’

There were a few people who said that it’s a petty move to slam Trump for something like this, but most people still wouldn’t have it.

‘How is this petty? This is someone’s music they created! How dare he use it at the most inappropriate time at that,’ a commenter said.

Someone else commented ‘You guys are blowing things way out of proportion smh! It isn’t that serious. The hatred you guys have towards him is beyond me. The world is officially coming to an end.’
