In the aftermath of Nero’s attack, all is not well. A routine visit to New Vulcan soon turns into something much more sinister, as fires rage, and Vulcans all over the planet mysteriously begin to lose their telepathy. With Spock’s life hanging in the balance, the crew of The Enterprise must race against time to restore it. What they find begins to unravel a tangled web of lies and deceit, and uncover things which Kirk thought he had left in the past.
