Celeste the Bunny

Adopted December 15, 2018. Favorite things: Covering myself in blankets, forehead kisses. Least favorite things: Being put in my pen for the night, not being paid attention to I am about three years old but I wasn’t handled much in my old home. My humans are doing a great job with me! I was very skittish when I arrived, but I’ll approach people for pets and kisses now!

I did my laudry today and I swear the lint trap was 90% rabbit hair and hay 😓

Did you know that grooming is a sign of submission in rabbits? Spanky always grooms Celeste when she demands asks for it, so that means she’s the boss!

I am very very pleased to say that Spanky and Celeste are getting along better than I ever expected after such a short period of time. They had one last enormous fight last night and then never fought again as far as I know. I left both of the doors to their respective pens open last night and now Spanky follows Celeste around like a puppy. She’s a little hesitant about getting too close to him, but I have no doubt in my mind that she’ll open up to him very soon 🐇❤️🐇

Celeste met her “little” brother (@spankythebunny) today! We’re actually quite pleased at how it went. Celeste was a little fighty and we had a few scuffles through the bars, but Spanky removed himself and was very aggressively comfortable in her direction. We honestly expected it to go that way. Spanky is always pretty chill and Celeste can still be high-strung. They probably won’t meet without bars in between them for a couple of days or maybe a week, but that was a great start!

Our little family is expanding! My girlfriend’s lease expires at the end of the month and she’s moving to a new place with an absolutely insane dog. So for his safety, @spankythebunny is coming to live with us for a while! I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to take him in and get to know him better and I’m sure he’ll be an excellent friend for Celeste, so here’s hoping all goes well! 🤞🤞

Today I rabbit-proofed my room because my girl has been so social lately. Tonight is the first night my bun is free range in my room! Wish me luck!

Update: She did really well! The only casualty was my 10-foot phone charger, but I only blame myself for that one. I’m trying a much shorter cord tonight, so we’ll see how this goes!
