Just saw someone say to a white girl that she wasn’t allowed to like and enjoy moana’s design because this disney princess is for poc to enjoy… Not for white people.

If you share a similar mindset then go sit in a corner along with some over the top bronies and feel ashamed.

This is for children to enjoy first and foremost. Secondly what the hell? When i was little i adored Mulan and i’m not the tiniest bit asian.

I do think representation matters. I do think it influences the child subconciously if she or he only sees bad representations of someone similar to them and lord knows i would have liked for there to have been a chubby princess when i was little. So Moana is a very welcome addition to the beloved and admired princesses disney already gave us and i can only hope they’ll add more diversity to their group.

But holy shit don’t do this “that is yours and this is mine” shit as adults about a childrens disney movie.

Moana looks and sounds great and i am looking forward to seeing the movie.

Sorry for ranting needed to get that out.

take a moment to revel in the fact that trump threw a hissy fit because a buzzfeed reporter had the gall to take pictures of all the empty seats at one of his rallies. this is the photos trump wanted people to see:

Dresden Codak’s Zelda: Clockwork Empire. I wanted to keep my skills sharp between projects so I started what was going to be a very small fanart project, which turned into this. I have even more unfinished stuff, but I don’t have time to get it all polished right now. I debated even putting up the inventory menu, but whatever, I like the icons.

I am a big fan of older zelda games from a design perspective, although I’m not really up on what’s happening in the continuity or the fandom these days. I also very much like Mr. Diaz’s ideas about replacing the tools usually found in these games with spells and having more of a battle-mage character. It’s a fun idea to tool around with!

I dunno why I made it a side-scroller, sorry if that’s a zelda no-no.
