HONEY grinned, and shook her hand, though she itched to turn it over and spy at her palm, see what there was to learn from it.  “honey. uh – i guess honey for short.”  she teased, a little, brushing hair off of her shoulder and glancing around.  “this happened to me earlier. dude spilled his cheese fries ALL over my shirt. i changed, obviously, but i was bummed because i thought it’d be weird to eat it off my clothes, you know?”

“Honey,” Clem repeated, smiling softly. “That’s sweet!” The girl just couldn’t resist the pun as she wiped her palms on her pants. Already healed, apparently. “Seriously? I hope he at least apologized, right?” But then she was just left to giggle. “Cheese fries are expensive! I wouldn’t have blamed you at all for eating them off your clothes.”

EVENT STARTER FOR @celestialiity !

Landon could feel his heart practically pounding against his chest – or was it? When he pressed his fingers against the cold flesh of his neck desperately searching for a pulse, there was nothing. It caused a surge of fear to pump through his body, replacing the feeling of a heartbeat he could often feel when he became on edge. What the fuck was going on? There were far too many questions and yet zero answers to help ease his mind. He immediately stopped what he was doing, sinking to his knees, his back pressed firmly against the brick wall of the alley he was currently more or less hiding out in. His attention was abruptly diverted, the smell of something sickeningly sweet rousing him. It smelled like every sweet he had ever desired in his life all culminated into one distinct smell. The sound of approaching high heels hitting the pavement made him realize exactly what that smell was. No, it couldn’t be. The fact that his desire only increased tenfold as the unknown woman approached confirmed his suspicions.

Suddenly there was a flash of darkness, almost as if he was blinded by something – that something was D E S I R E. The next moment he was kneeling over the woman’s unconscious figure, warm blood dripping down his chin. He should have been disgusted but what he felt instead was something similar to lust. It brought tears of frustration to his amber eyes, hands clumsily wiping his mouth clean before smearing the leftover bits onto his shirt. It was just he realized that he needed to get help and the first person who immediately popped into his mind was Clementine. He ran as fast as his legs could carry him, his stamina seeming infinite. He skidded to a stop the moment he saw the blonde a few mere feet away from him, eyes wild and filled with tears. “Clem… there’s something wrong with me.” If that wasn’t obvious by the blood staining him.

Clementine still didn’t have a great handle over these newfound powers, but that didn’t mean she was going to stop searching for Landon. If whatever happened to her and Mulci happened to the whole town, then that certainly meant it might have affected him as well. She just had no feeling for where he was when she was just a witch. Sparks of light seemed to travel over her skin from her frustration, not only for him but for herself. This was all so different. She felt-- fragile. Almost scared. 

As she turned the corner, a figure suddenly appeared before her and her body locked up entirely. His face, oh she knew that face, but he was covered in reddish blood. She could tell just by looking at him that it wasn’t his blood, but rather someone else’s and for the first time, she feared for her own life. He could so easily kill her. Too easily. But there were tears in his eyes too. Humanity. Landon was still there. She forced her feet to move, setting her hands on his cheeks almost in an attempt to calm him down. “Landon?” His skin was so cold... She shook away the thought. “I can help. Something’s happening b--but I can help you. Okay? Stay calm.”

event 001 : clem & mul

Clementine definitely didn’t understand what was happening to her. She couldn’t feel what was happening to Landon and that meant she didn’t have the slightest idea if he was okay. He was her charge for only a little while and she already lost track of him. It was a nightmare. Now she held powers she didn’t understand or know where the Hell they came from. She figured the only one who might know is someone who’s been in this town longer than she had. Aunt Mulci. As she traveled through town in desperate search of her, she finally breathed a sigh of relief when she was in the distance. “Mulci! Aunt Mulci!” She called, running forward as sparks of magic seemed to follow her everywhere she went. “Aunt Mulci, I don’t know what’s happening to me. I feel almost human but there’s all this magic and I don’t--- I’m scared. Please, you have to know what’s going on.”

( honey ) :

     HONEY  didn’t normally hang out around apartments – too many people, too much noise.  she liked her little van, with her cat and her blankets and colored light streaming in through windows covered in silky scarves.  today she’d been hanging out in the neighborhood, exploring, and was headed back to her car when she collided with someone and stumbled back.  this had happened maybe too many times for her lately.    “shit, are you okay?”   honey asked, catching herself. 

Clem laughed nervously, looking down at her palms to find them covered in scrapes from the sidewalk but overall--- she was fine. It was nothing that wouldn’t heal in almost moments. “I--I’m okay,” she said, pushing herself up and off the ground. “I’m totally okay. Sorry again.” The girl in front of her seemed just as new to this town as maybe she was but there was definitely something different about her. “I’m Clementine. Clem for short,” she said, offering her hand.

( aria ) :

“Uh, yeah, I guess so.  But hopefully it’s good.”  Aria pursed her lips together.  “Um, how recently?”

“Hopefully,” Clem agreed, laughing softly. “That’s a yes enough to me... Mind telling me a little about them? Is that okay?”

( mulci ) :

“It’s the truth.” Having to live with her decisions also forced her to grow up, but eventually she’d found a way to live with them. At the statement, Mul held back a chuckle. Although she was there for herself, that didn’t mean that wasn’t going to cause chaos and collect some debts. She had a feeling what her niece was there for though, and knew that to avoid fighting with her, she had to be careful who she killed. “They’re excellent! You’ll love them.”

“I know it is, Aunt Mulci,” Clem replied softly, holding her hands together in front of her. There were decisions she was forced to make in her own life that required her to live with some guilt. Exiling family--- that was just one of them. In the end, Clementine knew what side her Aunt stood with and she had to remember that with every person she tried to protect from the demon’s wrath. “Is that the only thing you like here? Tell me more!” Clem giggled, guiding her aunt forward.

( aria ‌) :

“It’s been about a week since the toast thing started, but things have been moving around on their own for about a month.  It’s never been anything big, though.”  Aria shrugged.

“They’re obviously trying to get your attention for something though! That can be good or bad I guess, right?” Clem mentioned, stepping alongside her. “Have you lost anyone recently?”

( hyun ‌) :

When it came to taking their daily swims, Hyun definitely had a strong preference for doing it during the nighttime. Not only did it lessen their chances of being intruded on but it also was surprisingly peaceful. They had just finished their swim and were on their way back home to their apartment when they found themselves suddenly colliding with someone. They blinked in surprise as they stumbled backward to see a girl, brows furrowing in confusion. “Please tell me you were running from something and not exercising.” They glanced down at their watch, a scoff falling from their lips. “Who the hell goes for a run this late? Are you torturing yourself or just extremely dedicated?”

Clem glanced down at the sidewalk, completely and utterly embarrassed but there was practically nothing she could do about it. She was supposed to be graceful but that was clearly impossible at the moment. “Usually that’s the other way around...” She said, pushing herself off the floor to dust off her clothes. “At least an ax murderer isn’t going to come after us any second.” Sometimes she hated playing defenseless but that was what normal teenagers did. At their scoff, she furrowed her brows and shrugged. “It helps me focus. I’ve been studying all day and I was tired.”

( landon ) :

Out of all the things he expected to be coming toward him through this sudden downpour, she had to be the last thing Landon would have imagined. The instincts to take care of others that had been ingrained in him kicked in almost immediately and Landon quickly shrugged off the light jacket he had been wearing before jogging over to the girl and using it as a makeshift shield to the pelting rain, even though it wasn’t doing much good considering they were already soaked. “Of course, please, I’m not gonna leave you out here all on your own.” His hand came to rest on the small of the girl’s back as he made an attempt to lead her over toward the passenger side door of his car, the door swinging open with ease before he beckoned his hand as a sign for her to slip in. Escaping the rain was his primary goal – questions could come later.

Clementine let a brief smile cross over her lips. The second he touched her; the very moment his hand came in contact with the small of her back, she knew he was her charge. The boy she’d been looking for. The fact he was kind enough to help her was an even better sign. “Thank you so-- so much,” she stuttered, following him until she was inside the car, listening to the sound of rain as it poured against the glass. His car was broken down. They’d be stuck here. The second he joined her, she pulled her knees into her chest, glancing over at him as the seconds seemed to tick by. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to bother you it’s just--” Make a story. “--I had nowhere to go.” It wasn’t a lie. She didn’t.

Aurora - Clem and Mul

Aurora: My character falls asleep on yours.

Clem was in the middle of a story, her mind lost in the world of fantasy and heaven, of how light felt when it was first concentrated into a blade for her hand. Maybe she was looking to give her aunt a reason to see the light, to remember the good in humanity and what she could do if she was on a different side but inside she knew the world wasn’t that simple and easy. The world wanted to see perseverance, it wanted to see strength. Strength was the knowledge that sometimes beloved family members may not always be there. That was the difficulty of being an angel. That was, perhaps, a burden.When she glanced down to see if her Aunt was listening, she found that she was asleep in her lap– the wind gently rolling over her blonde hair. Clementine quietly closed her mouth and ran her fingers over her aunt’s hair. In sleep, she was peaceful. Not like any demon she was brought up to hate and fight. Like always, she was just family. Maybe that was okay. Whatever the future held for them would be in the future and whatever was here now was here now. She would hold onto the moments for as long as she could.“Sleep dreams, Aunt Mulci,” Clementine whispered, glancing up at the sky. “I love you very much… Always will.”

( mulci ) :

“Thousands of years can help a person grow up.” Especially if they were spent in Hell. Although Mul didn’t mind that too much. She’d been pretty young when she’d fallen, and that’d definitely forced her to grow up. “I live here. I helped design a lot of the houses, it’s a nice place where I can be myself, and they make really great chocolate sundaes.”

“That’s what they tell me,” Clem said, running her fingers through her messy hair. She spent years training to fight those who were just like her aunt. Grown up wasn’t even the half of it. “I’m glad you’re here for yourself, Aunt Mulci.” Maybe that would keep her out of trouble. She could hope. “I’ll be sure to try out a sundae though.”

( lilah ) :

Lilah followed the girls lead as she pushed herself off the ground, dusting the dirt off her arm. She felt the girl wrap her arms around her, she froze into the hug before finally realizing who was actually hugging her. She felt a happiness rush through her before reciprocating the hug, she squeezed her tightly. It was the first actually face she recognized since she got here and it felt amazing. “ Clementine! I am so happy to see you” Lilah said smiling to herself before pulling out of the hug. “This is…wow! How are you?” She asked.

Clem smiled as she pulled away from the hug, her cheeks practically glowing pink from how wide her smile really was. Family she could work with. She would never have to fight Lilah. “I’m great!” She laughed. “Well-- kinda. I gotta find my charge but he’s around somewhere close. I can feel it.” Getting up quickly though, she offered her hand. “How are you?”

“Yeah, except for the ghost.”  Aria shook her head.  “That would be great.  I mean, as long as they’re nice I don’t have an issue with the staying, I just wanna know for sure.”

Clem thinned her lips out into a straight line at the thought. “Yeah,” she said. “Except for that.” She felt so bad for restless spirits, though there were times even she couldn’t help them. “I can kinda sense their energy and find out. When did you start noticing they were around?”

“New yes,  help…” He paused he already was starting to hear rumors about this town having strange people walking around and the last thing he needed was to run into trouble.  “I’m a bit knocked up. not gonna like.” He straightened himself but didn’t look any better. “Just bumped into trouble right before I made it into town.

“I figured,” Clem replied, offering her hand. “My name’s Clementine but you can call me Clem if you want.” She glanced around them for a bench, guiding him toward it so she could possibly heal him. “What kinda trouble are we talking about? Supernatural trouble or irresponsible trouble?”
