In the near future, when Earth became unsuitable for life and its resources depleted, humanity needed to find an alternative. CelestralGC, a company funded by an alliance of all major countries, created spaceships that can carry a great amount of people on an interstellar journey that would last for two years towards a new planet that can sustain life - TerraDeux. Join us on Celestral V, the fifth and last spaceship to leave the Earth, and discover what lies in the depths of space on our way to a new home.                                                                        Panic. Confusion. Fear. 

Increasing their speed, Celestral V was close to escaping the enemy’s grasp when yet another shot had been fired upon them. The shields were still at their maximum, but the intensity of the attack had them thin at some areas, allowing the breach on the tail of the ship -- The total damage still unknown.

A set of explosions occurred throughout the ship almost instantly.

Casualties: 5 dead, 37 badly injured.

The first missile hit Celestral V out of the blue. There was no warning, no red light bleeping above the Captain’s seat. Nothing until it was too late to react. 

As the ship’s shield was on maximum power, the defenses set at their high, none of the four missiles fired by the alien forces did any real damage but the ship was set off balance and it felt as though the gravity was disrupted when everything and everyone flew towards one side and then the other, falling around like puppets.

“Declare code Red!“ Captain Gutierrez’s voice echoed through the deck, and a second later, the alarm sounded off, sending confusion to every living soul on board. 

“This is your Captain. Passengers of Celestral Five, we are under attack by forces that are not of our home world. This is not a drill.“

“All military personnel report to your commanding officer. Civilians, please, return to your sleeping quarters if possible. I am sorry for the lack of information as I, myself, have no other knowledge of the danger we’re facing. But what I do know is that we’ll get through this.“

The communication device was off again when the Captain turned to the navigator. “Increase the speed and get us the Hell out of here.”

OOC Information:

The second chapter is going to be set between the attack and the randez-vouz point with the rest of the fleet. 

Your characters are being made aware of the situation and this is the right time to panic. 

Nobody has any real info about the aliens or what kind of technology they’re using until it’s been posted about.

The main focus will be to defend and escape the alien vessels while working on improvements on the ship while still exploring your characters in any situations they may find themselves in.

“We are in range, Captain. The message came through.“ – “Play it.“

“This is commander Zachary Irons of Celestral Four. We are broadcasting this message in long-range in hope it will reach you in time.“ the video was blank, but the audio was loud and clear. “I don’t have much time and this is not a joke.“ there was a small pause before the voice continued. “Code Kayden, Ra, Austria, Junkie.“ heavy breaths followed up the code but as soon as this happened, captain Gutierrez jumped out of her seat. She knew what the code meant and she knew how serious it was. – “Call the commander to the deck!” she ordered.

“After leaving the Earth’s atmosphere and heading towards the randez-vouz point, Celestral One’s sensors picked up something on the dark side of the moon. What you can see on your screen right now is the footage they sent us of what appears to be a ship. We weren’t sure what it was until we passed by the same spot following our own departure.“

“As our equipment was better and more accurate, we managed catching the same thing, but with more detail. We hoped it was something man-made, left there for whatever reason… It was not. What you see on your screen is an alien vessel. The technology behind it is much more advanced than our own, and I am sad to report this is not the only one.“

“A few days ago we’ve received a distress signal from Celestral One followed by a message. We were made aware of the extraterrestrial life and its hostility towards us for the reasons that are still unknown. Captain —- “ another pause, a much longer one. “Celestral One has been destroyed in an attack made by two ships just like that one. The entire ship has been destroyed and the crew is dead. Not a single escape pod left the C1. They didn’t even see it coming until it was too late.“

“Last thing we got was a video message before the ship’s destruction. Captain Gutierrez, Celestral Four has suffered an attack of the same proportion prior to this message. We fought it off, and as you know the shields installed to our ships are more advanced and different than Clestral One had, and our team thinks that was the only reason we survived. I don’t have much time. We’re sending the new randez-vouz point, much closer than initially planed. Be on alert, the danger is real.“

“And Captain --- Maximize your defenses until we meet up.“

"Captain, our long-range sensors are detecting a message from Celestral Four but we’re still too far from them to receive what it says. We’re still days away.” dim music was playing in the background as the gathering went on. “Captain, what should we do?”

“---------Intercept it. Increase the FTL speed by O point five percent.”

How is activity in the group?

It’s not bad. There’s always someone on, and it’s flowing. It’s not as fast paced at the moment, but that should change after the event / end of Chapter 1 by the end of the week.

“Men and women of Celestral Five. Let me start this message by saying that I, as the pilot of this ship, can confirm that we’re set on course with proper speed and all systems working at a hundred percent.“

      The speakers all across the ship were broadcasting the same message.

“In order to celebrate, we’re inviting you to join us in the dining area from 6pm and onward to celebrate...“ there was a brief pause. ”Well, to celebrate life and the second chance given at one.“

       She made another small pause, the sound of her heavy breaths filling in everyone’s ears before she moved on with it.

“There will be actual drinks and actual proper food, thanks to our cooks and this will be one of the rare occasions in which we can truly enjoy ourselves.“ he chuckled, quite loudly too. “I hope to see you there.“

OOC Information:

This is merely the first stop of the event that will conclude the first chapter of our story and as such it is the least significant one. 

The gathering begins effective immediately and will last until Monday night when we will have the first official plot drop.
