On set This has been an amazing experience to work as a designer and fashion stylist for this editorial. I’m happy to have had amazing photographers that helped coordinate this photoshoot. I’m also thankful for my model that I chose at last minute due to a model change.

My inspiration boards for this project. I was inspired by teased hair, soft light make up that stood away from the darkness. I also loved the in action motion photographs that spoke more than still life.

The Process There were many trials and errors in creating this design. Literal, blood, sweat and tears. It was difficult especially in altering my pattern for my design. It came with a lot of research and strategies. However, I enjoyed it. Although, I got only 2 hours of sleep most of nights but at the end I found it all worth it. It was a struggle but I believe this happens to every designer. It's all in the process.

Self portrait When making a self portrait I wanted to put myself and my concentration together. I took an abstract approach rather than realistic because I wanted to show a lot of symbolism. My face is made up of patchwork of different type of materials but most importantly denim. This shows how unfinished I am. Im still growing as a designer. The zipper is to symbolize that Im a very sociable person but also I like to express and address my ideas. I'm not limited to society but choose to experiment and design because I truly love it. It's not what society wants but what I vision.

Denim Cool Wash I was highly inspired by this denim collection from Moschino. (The jacket and wide leg denim patchwork pants.) I loved how the dyes of the blue and the yellow contrasted with each other and gave a strong pull. The denim itself texture made the dye glow and very electrifying.

Mood Designer Fabrics Went to mood and spent tons of hours searching for the right fabric. I looked at the texture and the hand of denim. I also looked for trims and buttons that would correspond very well with each other.

Patterns I found a pattern close to my design. I altered it in many ways by adding a bust and curving parts of my pattern near the waist in order to make it fitted.

Active Duty Final I used denim to emphasize an attitude and give a rough touch. I loved how denim could fray and leave raw edges. The bronze buttons fit to the color palette of military wear.

I thought of to make my own personal project which would include of material that we wouldn't necessary use in garments. I thought of having silk which drapes nicely into a flowy skirt and have embroidery of film and magazine covers that still fits in the concept of design. Also check out my final piece at Cooper Unions Exhibit next Tuesday.

While attending my pre-college program at Cooper Union I was able to get a lot done out of just fine arts. Design comes in all different types of forms including repetition which my class and I had done , showing a form of expression and as well a design and concept from the artists vision

It was an incredible experience watching the photoshoot for the catalogue for the website in Canada. I've learned a lot more about Fashion Styling and the life behind a Fashion Stylist working as freelance.

I had an amazing experience at the Cooper Hewitt program. Mentor Tim Gunn from Project Runway gave an empowering speech on the future of the artists and gave advice upon graduating, applying to college and career interests.

Mood was a heaven for my design essentials. It had everything that I needed including rope, netting, wire and the perfect buttons which were materials that would be hard to find. Thank you Mood Designer Fabrics 🙏🏻😩

I chose my final three pieces for both of the women's and men's collections and rendered using fine details with water color. The water color was used to present the shadows and natural shapes/outlines of the garment with leaving the white of the paper for the highlights.
