still healing from things I don’t speak about
honestly? Im sincere and so full of love and no one can ever take that away from me
I did it! Did I forget any threads? Did I?
"You denied it when Agasha asked if we broke the mask rule, but don't think I forgot that face you made that day, Teneo. You looked so ridiculous." Just a bit of playful teasing from an old friend.
He was making that same ridiculous face now that he had been reminded of it. “That was then! And you already decided you weren’t a saint then, so we didn’t break that rule! I was only setting the record straight! I wouldn’t want to be with you just because of a mask!”
“I know! Don’t worry, I’m not holding you to that. The mask rule only applies to saints, and like you said, I’m not a real saint anymore. Don’t act so relieved, though, you’re going to make me feel bad!” More playful teasing.
"Saro said he thinks of us as his mom and dad. Isn't that cute?"
“Us?” He laughed, partly out of the awkward surprise he felt from such a sudden statement. “Really? I hope you resisted the urge to tell him off for implicitly calling you old, Celintha. I always thought of him more like a kid-brother, but I guess we’re a little too overbearing for that!”
“Don’t say it like that! You’re going to make me feel old, Teneo.” She shoved his shoulder. “You’re only laughing so much because you know for sure that he thinks you’re the fun parent.”

“That’s–” Agasha shuddered. The way Celintha said it made it sound so real, and it was already a chilling enough phrase. She remembered seeing the life leave Albafica so many years ago.
“Celintha, you have to stay safe. We all count on you to make it back. Not just the kids in the orphanage, this whole village depends on you. So please, even though that’s important, you have to promise me that you’ll be careful. Take care of yourself too.”
She finally stopped pacing, right in front of Celintha.
“Okay?”
No, she almost answered. Not okay.
“It’s more important that I know you guys are safe. I guess some old habits are hard to kill...”
She was referring to her lessons as a saint. Ready to die to protect another. Weighing that possibility of dying every single day as the war got nearer. Even though Celintha had left it behind, it was still part of her.
“You, the kids, the sanctuary, this village... I can’t give them quarter to hurt any of you while I’m here. I want to take care of you all. I don’t want to lose you. I know, it’s almost selfish...” she admitted.
First Mission

“Although…?!” Saro grinned even more, this time at Celintha. “That means you really have considered it! You were just hiding it! The three of us will still be a team and we’ll have real cloths and powers to fight with!”
He punched and kicked in the air and spun around excitedly. “I can only imagine it as all three of us! I think… Bear Teneo, Delphinus Celintha, and Colujmba Saro! The three of us…!” He punched the air again and grinned. “We’ll finally be strong enough to fight together with Sir Aldebaran!”
@taurusteneo
Teneo laughed again. “Saro’s read you like an open book, Celintha! He’s right, you have been thinking about it! You’d use the Delphinus powers really well, you always did have great control with your cosmos. And Columba Saro… Are we all aiming for a bronze?”
He could probably stand to be a little stricter in reigning in their enthusiasm, but they were still just in route. Once they got to the stakeout, they would get silent for who knows how long. Best to get it out of his system now, if they could. “What do you think, Celintha? Would I make a good Bear?”
She stopped abruptly.
“Hold that thought...” She shot Teneo a loaded glance, he should understand what it meant without her voicing it. And then, she vanished.
She hadn’t noticed until now, but that was an unfamiliar, scary-feeling cosmos... She was up and in the branches in no time.
She flickered through the night, catching branches with her hands to slingshot out into darkness, landing on a branch and using the momentum to move on the next tree in a flash. Up, sideways, down, flip; the air were a three-dimensional chessboard she could tear across, practically invisible and soundless with her finesse.
“Now then...” she looked around. Where was that cosmos coming from...
"Hey, Regulus, I heard you're hiding a cat in your temple. You have got to let me see him."
@celintha
Regulus laughed, “I am not hiding Leo. But yeah you cansee him! I found him a few weeks ago and uncle let me keep him. He is stillonly a kitten.“
Regulus led Celintha to his temple where he called out forLeo’s name. A minute later, a small orange Aegean kitten came out. He saw a newperson who he never saw before and quickly race over and started sniffing ather, curiously.
goldsaintleoregulus:
“Hm okay then.” He was hoping Celintha would say yes in case he needed someone to take care of Leo if he or his uncle couldn’t. He knew Leo could but he was still worry.
“No worries about it, well it is time for dinner for Leo. I gotta go feed him.”
A laugh tumbled out from behind her mask. “Sorry! You seem disappointed! I don’t hate them, but animals just aren’t exactly my forte. I’ve been in charge of babies, little kids, even older people sometimes, but I’ve never taken on any pets. But they can’t be that much harder than babies, right? Just a little furrier?”
“So if you ever need help, I’m not Sir Aldebaran levels of amazing with animals, but I’m your girl otherwise!”
pefkooyra:
“But she’s also my apprentice! We have big shoes to fill! We’re both super duper serious about it! But also, some of it is a secret!”
“So just count on me and we’ll get there and we’ll be strong and everyone will be so proud! We’re giving it out everything! And I’m stronger than I look! Really!”
“Your apprentice...” She couldn’t imagine what shoes they had to fill together, since she didn’t know enough about Pefko or what bound him to Agasha. Something about her flowers, maybe...
She just fixed him with a Look. “Okay. Don’t make your student sad. Don’t let her down. You better never let her forget the way she feels about calling her master. That in itself is a lot for you to fill.”
livewithstrength:
“Ahaha, Celintha, you’re spinning so fast! It’s way faster than last tiem! Do you even train your hugs?” He wrapped her arms around her and laughed. He always felt like he would get in their way or hold them back, so sometimes it was just nice to be reminded why they were together at all.
“Family… Yeah! We’re family! We’re Sir Ha… Hey! You said the wrong name again! Teneo’s going to be so mad!”
“A good saint trains all her aspects, strong points and weak points. And yes, even her hugs,” Celintha answered, half-serious. She gave him one more hug before she let him back down.
She laughed. So Saro was particular about the name change too, now. “Teneo’s not going to be mad, because Teneo’s not here, and you,” she gave his forehead a playful poke, “are not going to tell him I said it.” Her tone was basically daring him to.
Pefko grins/smiles at Celintha.
Affection / @pefkooyra
Celintha grinned right back.
“What’s that mischievous grin you have, Pefko?”
His happiness was, without exaggeration, infection. But he was so open and out there, sometimes Celintha couldn’t help but worry about the kid.
“I hope it’s good news and not a dangerous plan you cooked up.”
Pefko blushed and covered up his mouth behind his hands. Then he hid his whole face, actually. “Gaaah! Can girls read minds or something?!”
He shook his head and blushed, and even he wasn’t sure why he was blushing.
“I–I can’t say! You won’t break me! Not even with your mind powers!”
“Really, now.” Not even a question, it was an observation, a smirk, a raised eyebrow, folded arms. But definitely not a question.
Whatever he was hiding, he wondered if Agasha was hiding the same thing. Just a little more quietly on her end.
“That’s a suspicious reaction. Maybe I should test out my old mind powers and see what it is you could be hiding. It doesn’t sound good...” she teased.
goldsaintleoregulus:
“I told you I would come.” Regulus looked down at the children and then finally at Sargas.
“Eh, I am not that scary, all the children I know would want to play with me. I am pretty sure I didn’t scare them, it is more like they were overprotective of you.” Regulus looked back at Celintha. “Remember, I came to visit you and eat dinner at your place. I want to see how you had been doing.”
“I figured you would want to use today to get acquainted with everybody at the sanctuary instead.” The kids she’d gathered here weren’t just normal, wide-eyed children in the first place. Otherwise, she was sure Regulus would be a kid magnet, no sweat.
“They aren’t great with strangers. Particularly adults they don’t know very well.” They took well enough to new kids now, but a lot of them had pretty troubled pasts already in their short lives. Celintha could understand why they’d be scared for themselves and for her.
“These guys,” Celintha put her hand on the oldest boy’s head, and he obediantly nodded, “can stay in here and play, and you can help me by setting the table while I finish up dinner for everybody, Regulus.”
[Celintha] hugs [Agasha].
❀
It caught Agasha by surprise, but it didn’t take her long to return the hug. Her arms were wound around her, holding her close. “I’m so glad you’re here.”
“I’m so proud you’re my sister.”
“I’m so glad you’re proud of me. I’m so glad you let me in.”
And those two statements could mean a lot of things. She had no doubt Agasha could read them for what they were.
“I won’t leave you. Hades himself couldn’t make me.”
pefkooyra:
“Heeheee! I am cute I guess! Thank you! This is why we’re friends now!”
“Cute!” she repeated, laughing through her grin.
“It’s great to see you. I couldn’t have asked for a better surprise. You make getting older worth it.”
She nuzzled against him gentle. She had been asleep just a little while ago, but now she was definitely wide awake from the feeling of his warmth at her back and the arms around her waist. “More than great. I can’t even say how much I loved your surprise. And you look great in an apron.”
She wanted to say it quietly, to get her own feelings across, but she had to raise her voice a little to be heard over the cacophony of cheerful children. Especially since some of them were very loud about their playful “ewwws” and teasing at seeing the couples’ affections.
She just shook her head and smiled as they all headed to the kitchen. The smell of this fancy birthday breakfast was almost enough to make her mouth water.
“You must have really rushed to get here even before I woke up. I can’t even imagine how fast you were going to get here. We’re all happy to see you again.” She had to add the last part when she saw how well he was getting along with the kids again. The little girls and the little boys all looked up to him like he was a superhero and a prince all wrapped into one --even the kids who understood what the tragedy of war meant would rather imagine him as something more firmly from a book or a movie in their eyes, it was more fun for them and less messy to think about. Celintha thought that was fine for now.
“I might be a little jealous. You have to teach me how to make things this cute sometime. Sooo, I know you didn’t come all this way to surprise me-- and the kids-- just with breakfast,” she said hopefully. Not that she would be disappoint with that at all.
“Do I get to ask if there are any other big birthday plans? I’m happy to clear my whole schedule to make some time and some new plans if I have to. My birthday only comes once a year, after all.”
The kids whispered amongst themselves loudly, getting more and more excited as they ran off and told each other to hurry, the sound of little feet pitter-patter out the kitchen and dragging something down.
Celintha giggled and ate some food. “We can bring them along or have them stay here today. That depends on what your plans are,” she added, now that they were out of earshot.
“--CELINTHA!”
And they were back. Children were fast little balls of energy.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”
The kids were all practically falling over each other to get to help hold up the large banner that they all definitely painted themselves. It was messy, and colorful, with glitter and feathers and all the neat little things they could think to glue on to give it more personality.
Well, more than the extra trimmings, the picture they had all drawn had a lot of personality to it, itself. It was a wedding picture... of sorts.
Celintha in a wedding dress (now that was an odd thought to her, for some reason), Kira in a black tuxedo, and behind them, two large gundams dressed just the same apparently also getting married (which was less odd in Celintha’s mind, for some reason again). And from the colors and the glitter that was probably supposed to be stars, it all seemed to be happening in space.
Children were creative little balls of energy.
She was caught between heartwarming and hilarious, bringing her hand up to her mouth to stop the chuckle and keep it at just a very bright smile. “It’s... so beautiful,” she finally said after she swallowed down her mouthful of food. She grinned and glanced over at Kira because she had to see what his reaction to their gesture would be. “I don’t know how they made that without me knowing about it, but I definitely haven’t seen this before!”
goldsaintleoregulus:
Regulus jumped back, dodging the attack. He then attack back with a flurry of punches directed at Celintha.
He was clearly holding back, and even then, those were fast punches. Celintha couldn’t dodge the first ones, so she brought hers up to parry. The soft arm guards did little to absorb any of the shock, she was still sent back. After the first barrage, she did regain her foot and used the chance to backflip back and put more distance between them.
“Ow.” Backflipping made it clearer that her forearms took a real beating there. She rubbed them and frowned under her mask.
“I think that’s enough. I learned some things about what I need to focus on while I fight the boys. Thanks, Regulus.” She grinned. “I didn’t stand a chance, huh?”
hakureisstudent:
“It is my decision…?”
His voice was low, monotone as usual. He paused and stared at her without moving. Even his breaths were silent. He had to think on what a friend was, exactly. She was kind, they were on the same side, he did not have strong reason to dislike her. And she had been there to help Agasha…
“…We are friends,” he finally decided after much deliberation.
She chuckled quietly. “Maybe it was a big decision to put on you! It’s okay, you won’t hurt my feelings if you take some time to think... about...”
She couldn’t have heard him right. Could she? She was going to ask him if he was serious, but best not make him think he chose the wrong answer or something!
“...We are. We are friends,” she agreed.
