1. How many works do you have on AO3?
94 works (and counting). The fandom breakdown: Baldur's Gate 3 - 74 fics; Dungeons & Dragons/Forgotten Realms - 19 fics; Dragon Age: Orings - 4 fics; Mass Effect Trilogy - 3 fics; Malifaux - 1 fic; Dragon Age 2 - 1 fic; The Arcana - 1 fic; LOVE, DEATH + ROBOTS - 1 fic; Warhammer: Age of Sigmar - 1 fic; Magic: The Gathering - 1 fic
2. What’s your total word count?
612,547 words (honestly feels like it's way more)
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Still churning out fics for Baldur's Gate 3. Haven't really found a new fandom that makes me wanna write, so I'm revisiting old fandoms and working a lot more on my original fiction
The Sweetest of Meats (376 kudos)- Believe this is the fic that started it all for A/B/O Werewolf Shadowzel for me. Folks seemed to like how I write Omega'zel especially, so I keep adding to it when inspiration strikes me.
Kiss Me Until You're Drunk (312 kudos)- Everyone loved the one shot I had written for @larissel 's stripper AU idea, it's become a massive and continually growing story!
Lethality of a Smile (250 kudos)- Where it all started for my Lae'stra/Silver Melody ship... or F.Tav/Lae'zel to be more blunt/specific. Hestra means so much to me as a character and it has been wild how others have enjoyed her and the stories I write for her and Lae'zel.
Perfectly Spiced, Perfectly Tender (239 kudos)- the first(?) post-game fic I did of my Lae'stra ship. Full on raunchy but it was fun to write.
Moonsilver Bond (230 kudos)- The third addition to my arc as a A/B/O Werewolf Shadow'zel writer. Not much else I can say aside from how much of my work makes up this very specific niche on AO3 xD
5. Do you respond to comments?
YES! Though, I'm not the best at it and sometimes it may take me days to respond... and some comments I don't respond to chiefly because I dunno how to. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to leave even a single word. It motivates me to write more regularly.
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Uh... I'm not entirely sure what fic has the 'angstiest' ending, as several fics are still in progress and angst is one of those subjects/tropes I struggle with cause I want my characters and story to be happy at the conclusion.
If someone wants to shout out what they think is my angstiest, go for it! (I suspect it was a Dragon Age fic but that was ages ago)
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Fate May Fall Upon You (formerly Lethality of a Smile) has, what I think, the sappiest ending I've written so far and continues to have a lot sappy post-game content written for Lae'stra. I just can't help it... especially with the things I put both Hestra and Lae'zel through among all the happy moments.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Yes. Seems some folk don't like that I write intersex content that isn't just straight porn... and sometimes folks don't like how I treat characters (i.e. Morrigan being more bi-curious that a closeted lesbian in Dragon Age)
I tend to laugh at and ignore that kind of feedback as it adds nothing.
Majority of what I write is smut. I like writing smut... I started out as a smut writer on 7chan's /elit/ board (which I think got nuked a decade or so ago).
I enjoy sex, find no shame in it and it's a comfortable and curious vehicle to explore very intimate relationship dynamics.
10. Do you write crossovers?
I have attempted to but yet to succeed. One cross over was supposed to be BG3 x Underworlds (movie series) but that evolved into it's own retelling of BG3 canon, under Fire Falling From the Sky.
I have a couple others that never got off the ground.
I doubt it counts but I am currently writing a 'crossover' of Lae'stra and my A/B/O Shadow'zel stories. It's been great fun.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge. I had an ex steal/plagiarize my work, years ago, to try and jumpstart their 'career' as a writer but that went nowhere as far as I know(they were jealous of me). Another ex tried to take ownership of a novella series I had written for them... which I still have but it's still too emotionally painful to progress the editing.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not that I'm aware of. No one's ever asked.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! I was one of the writers on this Exqusite Corpse Shadow'zel project.
@larissel and I also mash our Tavs (her Nashira and my Hestra) together. We've published 3 fics so far and, likely, gonna do more in the future, when we have the time and brain space.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
I have too many but, presently? Lae'zel + Hestra (Tav). F. Shepard + Liara T'soni and F.Amell + Leliana are a VERY close second (aside from being tied for second). As much as I write about them, Shadowheart + Lae'zel is third.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?
Probably my Mother Gith / Zerthimon fic. It deals with a lot of D&D lore that just doesn't exist, so it takes a lot of effort to write... not to mention Gith, Zerthimon and Vlaakith are not very fleshed out characters so writing them to be 'correct' also takes a lot of time and effort.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I'm not sure... I guess characters and dialogue? Writing conversations is really fun and I often play them out in my head and I'm very particular in trying to make all the 'voices' correct.
If you think otherwise, please let me know. I'm curious.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Editing. I have dyslexia, so editing is difficult, even with spellcheckers (and even the gross intrusion of AI). I've never used a Beta writer (and never had anyone ask to be one) so lotta my writing doesn't go through editing cause I can't be arsed, except during the summer I'll go through a long fic and edit/redraft... or if I'm stuck on updating a long fic cause I wrote myself into a corner.
If you know more of my weaknesses, I'd like to know
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
As long as it fits a situation, I try to do it. I've gotten compliments on it a few times (I've even come up with words/phrases in fantasy languages like Tir). I don't know any languages, so it's generally whatever Google Translate (or scouring the net) gives me.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Dragon Riders of Pern... technically. I did a lot of forum RP, sometimes 'archiving' my adventures as stories.
The first 'true' fanfic I would say was from my days on the 7chan /elit/ board. I remixed an abandoned smut story cause I liked it so much. Maybe one day, I'll rewrite it... I remember most of the story beats.
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?
That's impossible, I love them all... but if I must pick, it's Fate May Fall Upon You.
