The Freeman Administration will be formally requesting a public inquiry into the claims made by an omninet account claiming to be "The Rightful Heir to the Temperate Throne."
In a public statement, Representative Freeman had this to say:
"If there really is a legitimate claimant to the throne being suppressed, it's our job to hear 'em out! That certain protocols are followed and maintained is crucial to the legal existence of HA as a political entity, and if those are being skirted or suppressed, that's a pretty glaring treaty violation. I for one, think the empress should get to tell her side of the story!"
Representative Freeman's acknowledging of this presence has been relatively unpopular with peers in the Central Committee, but a certain fringe movement has cropped up in support of the representative's push.
"I'll actually take any excuse to nuke Ras Shamra."
Says Ensign Mikari Emory, one of the returning crew of the UNS Austin and far field team Forerunner.
Representative Freeman maintains that this hawkish stance is not his aim, but that he merely wants to "see that democracy is preserved."
Hello Omninet!
I want to thank all of you for bearing with us as we worked through a few issues behind the scenes! It isn't often an official account is hacked like this, and an organization as big as the central committee tends to want for a certain amount of precedent. Regardless, we're back on our feet. I'd like to once again assure the public that most of the details in the so-called "sushihack" were fabricated for the sake of a fantastical narrative. One that isn't at all true to life.
I'd like to thank Representative Alvarez for holding down the fort in my absence! He's a good guy, regardless of what a press that can't even get his pronouns right might say.
All in all, excited to be back. Excited to keep serving my constituents as best as I can.
TIMES OF NEW VIVIAR: COMP/CON UNIT APPOINTED TO REPRESENTATIVE SEAT
Very little is known about Milliéa, a provisional member state appearing for the first time in the Central Committee's latest public census release, drawing attention for heavy redaction of normally banal public information. Now, what would be the first piece of illuminating information about the far-field diaspora world only continues to obscure public detail.
The unit introduces itself as "Judeau Alvarez," its polite cadence granted a sense of legitimacy by a handsome, almost perfectly human passing subaltern. The long dreads and deep voice make it easy to forget who you're speaking to, at least in my personal experience
"I didn't run for the position," Alvarez tells the Times.
"But I was the one person everyone back home was able to agree on. I know I don't look much like the representative type, but I'm gonna be doing my best so long as they have me here."
When pressed about this alleged popularity back home, Alvarez sidesteps the question- claiming "there's a long story there, but it's not one anybody's about to let me tell just yet."
Alvarez has proven unpopular, both with the general public, and with fellow representatives. Multiple NHP rights organizations have decried a comp/con holding this office while demosians remain so politically disenfranchised. Representative Nguyễn of Tau Ceti (and current vice chair of the NSC) had this to say:
"I don't care what their terms were, it's a travesty that we're making exceptions like this to secure certain interests while so many individuals lack even the basic rights of citizenship under our law. My contemporaries have spit in the face of the third pillar allowing this resolution to pass, and I genuinely don't know how I'll look some of them in the eye when we take to the floor tomorrow."
When pressed on what "certain interests," meant xe refused to comment.
Multiple sources confirm that the people of Milliéa grant machine-mind entities citizenship on their world, it remains unclear if this is warranted by the technology's level of development, some sort of cultural quirk, or an attempt to stonewall the rest of the Orion arm. Alvarez does claim the people it's representing are acting with a certain wariness:
"We thought we were it, you know? That the world ended just a little after our ship left. Kinda a blessing we were wrong! It's just... I dunno how to put it how an administrator would say it. When the most powerful guy in the world offers you a seat at his table, there's an implication there. It's implicit."
When asked if it believed itself more advanced than similar comp/con units across Union space, Alvarez's response was:
"Hey what the fuck are you talking about?"
Disrespect for the press and the generosity of its own organization on such a level is obviously shocking from a comp/con unit and it begs the question what sort of world would create such a machine. As we...

(The following is not an Omninet post, but is recorded in a centcomm database somewhere)
"...The Inevitable? Really Deal? That was you?"
"Listen-"
"No Freeman, I'm not going to listen. You had the whole omninet listening as you implicated yourself in an act of terror certain elements of the FKM are still raw about."
"Yeah well you can't sneeze at one of those people and not have them a little raw for a few generations."
"This is serious, Deal. You might not appreciate it, but you're the tip of an iceberg. Ungratefuls, Horus operatives, known anthrochauvinists, milspec-nhp pilots, UIB agents. Most of the core, most of the arm doesn't know just how... diverse the DOJ's hiring pool is."
[There's a long pause]
"...UIB what?"
"Don't ask questions, you've got too many other people doing that now-"
"Listen, J. I don't know what you're still keeping me here for. I'm not the criminal from those files. Not anymore. Any charges that might've been leveled against me were cleared with my service, and you know I'm a changed man-"
"It's not about that Freeman. People are asking questions, they're not supposed to ask questions. You were given this position because people wouldn't question you. That the DOJ worked so hard to bury this even your peers didn't know- you've been so slick in these investigations, always with a deflection, a non-answer, a joke. Do you actually have anything to say for yourself?"
[another long pause between the two voices]
"Everything I did, I did for my family."
[A new voice speaks up now, softer than the two that have been going back and forth]
"You'll come back to the floor, Deal."
"What?"
"What?!"
"This looks much worse if you disappear. You'll resume your duties, as both representative and point of contact."
"Köse, you're actually for this?"
"The vote has already passed. Deal has done nothing wrong in the eyes of the law, and his absence only begs more questions."
"Hey, I don't know what to say-"
"Don't say anything, Freeman. As of today you'll also be responsible for Representative Alvarez."
"...the fucking droid?"
"Please don't use that language around him. He's the one serving as point of contact in your place."
"Oh you cannot be serious."
"I am. J. Mark this as resolved."
[end of feed]
Happy gay and transgender month to the omninet from everyone at the central committee of union. I hope you're all having a good time being gay. And transgender. I love you.

Thoughts on the crisis with the Boundary Garden, good representative?
Yo. I think I'm probably not the guy you're looking for, but he's in hot water right now so they just plucked a warm body off the floor to run this thing. To answer your question, Deal is pretty hawkish on this one cuz I think he's friends with Ms. Rouanet, who heads up Dog Company.
I'm not sure what I could tell you, I think Union's claim to Cornucopia is kinda tenuous- and that there's something to be said for preventing an invasion, but it's pretty transparently a "securing our interests in the region" thing. Me and Deal are from the whole other side of the arm though, so like... if I'm gonna be straight with you we're some of the least qualified guys in the room to be making these kinds of decisions.

BRO DEAL FREEMAN USED 2 B A HORUS GUY? wtf happenedddd bros like a gigacentrist shitter now, also p sure some of this stuff isnt outside the statute of limitations...
also bro cheats on his wife n shit but like whtever
PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: PEOPLE OF THE OMNINET, ANYTHING YOU READ ASSOCIATING MY NAME WITH ANY AND ALL UNGRATEFUL ACTIVITY IS UNSUBSTANTIATED, OR WELL OUT OF DATE! I WAS NOT INVOLVED IN THE DESTRUCTION OF THE FKS-BC INEVITABLE ABOVE SAN SIMEON IN 4951u, NOR ANY SIMILAR EVENTS ATTRIBUTED TO THE SAN SIMEON UNGRATEFUL MOVEMENT
I just want to get ahead of these rumors before they spread too far! I'm very proud of my service with the DOJ/HR, and what our work did for my friends and family on my homeworld! Any less legitimate military activity attributed to a "DeLanzo Freeman," is fabricated by the 4th Column's propaganda machine and meant to destabilize my many forward thinking positions, OR was dismissed in a court of law many, many years ago! While sympathetic to the ungrateful cause, I believe political violence is unconscionable, and do not currently associate myself with such movements!
I acknowledge my possession of a Horus SALAMANDER pattern license, but this frame does not print for me- and I have long believed my ownership of it to be a cruel joke. If inspected, my official service record with the DOJ will show nothing more than boots-on-the-ground infantry service.
The sly comment about my marital status, and any files related to such a statement are infringing on strictly personal information, and also made without knowledge of a greater context of the factors at play. I am a complicated man with a daily life whose pieces and parts many don't see.
Thank you for your time.
-Representative Deal Freeman

Hey! Awesome to see someone so eager to get involved in politics in such a big way! Just be careful saying stuff like this on the omninet, if the wrong person saw it you could be in big trouble! This stuff is forever, y'know?
[Mr Freeman a second glitter bomb has hit your offic—]
[A picture appears on the official account of a plate of... something, it's unclear now because it's covered in glitter, but it sticks in such a way that whatever this was clearly isn't edible anymore]
Should not have opened this one during lunch.
On my way home from Venus today, had the opportunity to tour IPS-N's Themis facility and I just have to say- Wow.
The work they're doing, going beyond the printer to keep our brave liberators supplied, it can't be understated. I want to take a moment to thank the smart, hardworking, industrious people there designing the pacification strategies of the future.

IPS-N doesn't do bribes, especially not for highly monitored cosmopolitan officials who already have access to nearly anything they could want.
Though out of curiosity, what VIP package did they set you up with? If it was just a quick trip I'm assuming Level 2 or Level 3?
Level 4 and up tends to be more involved than a quick visit will allow. Dinner with members of the board, yachting on Carina, a ride-along on a hypersonic Nelson, that kind of thing.
Are they still doing physical souvenir packages, or is it all digital printables now? Model kits are pretty common if you toured (or enjoy) something specific, but there's also the usual assortment of clothes, mugs, pins, stamps, writing utensils, utility tools, and anything else they can slap the IPS-N logo on.
I highly recommend the self-heating thermos. Say what you want about IPS-N, but they know their way around radiators and heat shielding.
Hey, I don't gotta be a V-I-P cuz I'm already V-I-ME! Between you and me though if they set me up with the new Tortuga mechpla, you know with the winter camo? Shit I might've had more to say!

Nah that's beyond the pale for a guy like me! There's people who take this sorta thing pretty seriously though... something about everything stays on the omninet forever? You gotta be careful, is all.
