This pretty much sums up how I wear my hair on a weekly basis. I've been wearing my hair out 100 percent for 2 plus years now without any protective styling, which I'm not against, I'm just personally not into it. I know most people think wearing your hair out all the time is damaging but it's not. It all depends how you care for it. I find that keeping it simple and minimal manipulation is best. ............................................................................. 1. So I start with a fresh braidout on Monday, which lasts about 2-3 days. 2. By day 3, it's frizzy and most definition is gone so I re-moisturize and do a simple low puff and maybe jazz it up with a twist at the front. 3. And on weekends, I do a bun. Hope this helps if you're looking for a simple routine for the work week 😊

One thing I've learned about being natural is that styles will fail but there's always another way to make it work. This messy bun with curly bangs is from a failed bantu knot out. I haven't had much luck with that style but I always find a way to turn it around. What's your go to "emergency hairstyle "?
